A POCKET REFERENCE to WESTERN CULTURE PSYCHO-LINGUISTIC SCREW-UPS

INTRODUCTION (the POCKET REFERENCE follows the INTRODUCTION)

PART ONE: THE PROBLEM OF LANGUAGE-SOURCED BEHAVIOURAL (ABERRANT-) ‘NORMALITY’

Almost no-one is going to carry around with them reminders such as David Bohm’s, as to how our common WESTERN CULTURE linguistic conceptualizing is SCREWING up our UNDERSTANDING of REALITY (the reality of our sense-experience of inclusion in the transforming relational continuum).   Meanwhile, many philosophical investigators have come to the same conclusion; i.e. that our WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGES, including ENGLISH are screwing up our understanding of reality. Wittgenstein, for example, observes;

Die Philosophie ist ein Kampf gegen die Verhexung  unsres Verstandes durch die Mittel unserer Sprache” (Philosophy is a battle against the bewitchment of our intelligence by means of our language.)” – Ludwig Wittgenstein, Philosophical Investigations

On the same tack, Psychiatrist R.D. Laing has written at length about how WESTERN CULTURE and its language is DRIVING US CRAZY;

What we call ‘normal’ is a product of repression, denial, splitting, projection, introjection and other forms of destructive action on experience.”   — R.D. Laing

This is ALSO what Bohm is talking about in his treatise on FRAGMENTATION.  What Bohm is describing is a WESTERN CULTURE SOCIAL DYNAMIC wherein the conditions considered NORMAL are growing INCREASINGLY TOXIC.  This was also the finding of psychiatrist Laing in “The Divided Self”, and also the finding of anthropologist Jules Henry in “Culture Against Man”, and also the finding of Ernest Becker expressed in ‘the “Denial of Death”.  This ‘screw-up’ is tied to our WESTERN CULTURE and what Benjamin Whorf classifies as Common Average European Language.   All of these psychiatrists, and anthropologists have homed in on the fact that WE WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS HAVE PROBLEMS STEMMING FROM THE ARCHITECTURE OF OUR LANGUAGE.  SHARING WHAT THESE PROBLEMS IN OUR LANGUAGE ARE, BY MEANS OF THE VERY SAME LANGUAGE THAT HAS THE PROBLEMS, IS TRICKY, LIKE TRYING TO BITE YOUR OWN NOSE.  CLARIFYING what is going on here is the aim of this, “A POCKET REFERENCE to WESTERN CULTURE PSYCHO-LINGUISTIC SCREW-UPS”.   If we were speaking Ojibwa, or any of the flow-based languages, we would NOT be having this problem that Laing and the others are drawing to our attention. Our WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE PROBLEM is coming from our building our language on the basis of BEING rather than on the basis of RELATIONS.

EXAMPLE of the TYPE OF PROBLEM that our BEING based language generates for us.   We know from our sense-experience that there is a FEMALE ACCOMMODATING aspect to our reality which means that LANGUAGE that employs ONLY MALE-ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING propositions is MISSING SOMETHING (sometimes termed the DEA ABSCONDITA, “THE GODDESS IN HIDING”).   From the point of view of one who studies the MODERN PHYSICS WAVE-FIELD based structure of this world of our sense-experience, THIS MAKES SENSE because our Euroepan languages, such as this ENGLISH I am now using, DROPS OUT the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING WAVE-FIELD conjugate.  For example, in WESTERN CULTURE JUSTICE, the damage done by a skull-fracturing punch to someone’s head is considered to be FULLY and SOLELY AUTHORED by the thrower of the punch.  This ignores the ever-present FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING WAVE-FIELD CONJUGATE wherein the skull may an EGG-SHELL skull whose FRACTURING is due to BOTH the force of the “MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING” conjugate AND TO the “FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING” of a fragile ‘eggshell skull’.

OK, MODERN PHYSICS is WAVE-FIELD based and takes into account the fact that ALL DYNAMICS have an ANDROGYNOUS FEMALE-ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING — MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING “CONJUGATE” (WAVE-FIELD based) STRUCTURE, … but WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE HAS AN ARCHITECTURE THAT SIMPLIFIED THINGS BY DROPPING OUT THE FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING CONJUGATE, and what we are using TODAY is this SIMPLIFIED scheme of LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING that employs ONLY the MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING conjugate and FAILS TO acknowledge the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING CONJUGATE aka “THE GODDESS IN HIDING”, a DROP OUT that SIMPLIFIES things significantly, and by “THINGS”, that means “REALITY”.  More correctly, since ‘reality is reality’ and can’t be ‘simplified’, the DROP-OUT of the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING WAVE-FIELD conjugate results in the fact that our LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING is based on a simplified SUBSTITUTE REALITY which employs ONLY the MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING conjugate and DROPS OUT the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING conjugate, ….which has us speaking in such terms as ‘the TOWN is GROWING, DEVELOPING and PRODUCING goods’ which is only the MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING conjugate which MAKES NO MENTION of the HOLES in the FOREST, and in the GROUND quarried and mined for metal ores and gravel for concrete, which is the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING conjugate aspect which, together with the commonly captured in language, MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING conjugate constitutes TRANSFORMATION OF THE LANDSCAPE which is continual and shaped not only by HUMAN ACTIVITY but by other forces of nature such as hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, erosion etc.

All the while that we are talking in terms of our constructive action; i.e. ‘the TOWN is GROWING, DEVELOPING and PRODUCING goods’, … our sense-experience affirmable REALITY includes,  the opening of HOLES (bare patches in the forest, quarries from extracting gravel for concrete, deep mines from extracting rare metals and minerals for making steel and other building materials, IN WHICH CASE, what is going on is TRANSFORMATION which is LESS SIMPLE than GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION which are all positive MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING dynamic, wherein there is NO MENTION OF THE FEMALE ACCOMODATING/ENABLING, without which, THERE COULD BE NO MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING.

THIS IS WHERE OURE WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE “IS AT” which is why there are all these complaints coming in re our WESTERN CULTURE from psychiatrists, anthropologists and modern physicists, including the findings of psychiatrist Laing in “The Divided Self”, and also the finding of anthropologist Jules Henry in “Culture Against Man”, and also the finding of Ernest Becker expressed in ‘the “Denial of Death” and also the findings of David Bohm in “Wholeness and the Implicate Order”.

These critiques are all directed at our WESTERN CULTURE “TOO SIMPLE BINARY LOGIC BASED” LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING SCHEME, that we CONTINUE TO GIVE A FOUNDATIONAL ROLE TO IN OUR communications scheme, even though the LESS SIMPLE WORLD OF OUR SENSE-EXPERIENCE requires “A LESS SIMPLE QUANTUM LOGIC BASED LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING SCHEME”.  For example, we need to acknowledge the OPENING OF HOLES that associate with the extraction of materials, SO THAT WE DON’T CONSTRAIN OUR LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING TO MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING TERMS OF GROWTH, DEVELOPING and PRODUCTION and simply DROP OUT MENTION of FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING.

Since that DROPPING OUT of essential information is WHAT WE WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS are currently doing, in our LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING, the damage we are doing is as described in  he findings of psychiatrist Laing in “The Divided Self”, and also the finding of anthropologist Jules Henry in “Culture Against Man”, and also the finding of Ernest Becker expressed in ‘the “Denial of Death” and also the findings of David Bohm in “Wholeness and the Implicate Order”.

The PROBLEM OF OUR INFUSING INTO THE FOUNDATIONS OF OUR LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING, THE ABSTRACTION of “BEING”

OUR WESTERN CULTURE PROBLEMS WITH LANGUAGE are coming from our giving a BEING based foundation to our language. THIS IS WHERE FRAGMENTATION IS COMING FROM, AND IT IS A “BIG DEAL” TO RE-ENGINEER OUR LANGUAGE TO REMOVE THE FOUNDATIONAL ROLE WE ARE GIVING TO ‘BEING’ AND EMPLOY INSTEAD A PURELY RELATIONAL LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING SCHEME, AS MODERN PHYSICS employs and also indigenous aboriginals, Taoists/Buddhists and Advaita Vedanta adherents.  WE WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS have DUG THIS “BEING” BASE DEEP INTO OUR LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING SCHEME; e.g. instead of capturing our sense-experience WAVE-FIELD reality wherein EVERYTHING IS IN FLUX, we INFUSE a BEING-based SUBSTITUTE REALITY; i.e. instead of ‘there is TOWNING in the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE’ as in the relational languages of indigenous aboriginals etc., .. WE WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS HAVE THE DEFAULT SUBSTITUTE OF THE BEING-BASED LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING where we say ‘the TOWN is GROWING, DEVELOPING and PRODUCING’, making ‘the TOWN’ out to be LOCAL AUTHOR OF ACTIONS and DEVELOPMENTS which as Nietzsche has pointed out, is ABSTRACTION based on the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR;

In its origin language belongs in the age of the most rudimentary form of psychology. We enter a realm of crude fetishism when we summon before consciousness the basic presuppositions of the metaphysics of language, in plain talk, the presuppositions of reason. Everywhere it sees a doer and doing; it believes in will as the cause; it believes in the ego, in the ego as being, in the ego as substance, and it projects this faith in the ego-substance upon all things — only thereby does it first create the concept of “thing.” Everywhere “being” is projected by thought, pushed underneath, as the cause; the concept of being follows, and is a derivative of, the concept of ego. In the beginning there is that great calamity of an error that the will is something which is effective, that will is a faculty. What we have built into our WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE ARCHITECTURE IS A RECIPE FOR FRAGMENTATION that OBSCURES the WHOLENESS of the all-including energy-charged PLENUM aka the WAVE-FIELD, and this is Bohm’s critique in ‘WHOLENESS and the IMPLICATE ORDER’ (a short and concise citation from which I have inserted below under the title “1 FRAGMENTATION AND WHOLENESS”).

So, there is all kinds of evidence and testimony to the fact that we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS have a serious problem with LANGUAGE-INFUSED PSYCHOSIS which is the WESTERN CULTURE “NORMAL”.  We are ACCUSTOMED to seeing things like Abrahamic religious language (BASED ON THE BINARY OF EITHER GOOD OR EVIL) of Judaism, Christianity and Islam mount PURIFICATIONIST initiatives to REWARD and PROLIFERATE GOOD while PUNISHING and ELIMINATING EVIL, which in the process establishes the GOOD status of those who would eliminate EVIL.   This is all coming from BINARY LOGIC, the EITHER/OR logic of the excluded medium wherein we can have EITHER something OR nothing, unlike the QUANTUM LOGIC of MODERN PHYSICS and indigenous aboriginals, the LOGIC of RELATIONAL BALANCE/RESONANCE and/or RELATIONAL IMBALANCE/DISSONANCE, encouraging a social  dynamic oriented to the relational CULTIVATING of BALANCE and the relational RESOLVING of IMBALANCE.

The indigenous aboriginals, Taoists/Buddhists and Advaita Vedanta belief, as well as MODERN PHYSICS, employs QUANTUM LOGIC, the BOTH/AND LOGIC of the “including medium’ where the including medium is the energy-charged PLENUM wherein we have material forms which are CONDENSATIONS of the energy-charged PLENUM aka transforming relational continuum.  This defines the relation between material forms and the ALL-INCLUDING ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM aka WAVE-FIELD as a BOTH/AND relation where the material CONDENSATION is BOTH ‘the condensation’ AND the energy-charged PLENUM which includes material forms which are CONDENSATIONS of the energy-charged plenum.

Because this is intended to be a condensed POCKET REFERENCE, I am going to be very selective as to what I put in here, searching for that which is most fully informative.  I believe I can ‘get by’ (express the essentials with minimal text) with  a key quote from David Bohm and an equally key excerpt from Erich Jantsch’s Three Categories of Inquiry https://icus.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Jantsch-Erich-Transexperiential-Inquiry.pdf .  Sandwiched in between, as a reminder, I am including the key observation by Nietzsche which CRITIQUES the WESTERN CULTURE PRACTICE of GIVING A FOUNDATIONAL ROLE IN LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING … to “BEING” which DUMBS DOWN (simplifies) by means of invoking a BEING-based SUBSTITUTE REALITY so that instead of the fluid ‘TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE’, … WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE substitutes ‘The TOWN is growing, developing and producing products’.  Here we inject the abstract notion of BEING by way of NAMING, which, as Nietzsche points out, is abstraction deriving from the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR, … where we start with the sense-experience, for example, of TOWNING in the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE, … and then we impose our intellectual judgement where we decide, as Nietzsche points out, that “every change must have an author”;–but this conclusion is already mythology: it separates that which effects from the effecting. This DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR is the WESTERN CULTURE JIGGERY-POKERY that creates LOCAL AUTHORING of actions and developments which gives our LANGUAGE that capability of FRAGMENTED expression, since whenever we use this DOUBLE ERROR, we are implying that AN ACTION STARTS HERE.  THIS IS “NOT” a case of our SIMPLIFYING our LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZATION, it is INSTEAD a case of CONSTRICTING A SIMPLIFIED SUBSTITUTE REALITY BASED ON BEING since we have thus added to the event a being that is not one with the event but is rather fixed, “is” and does not “become.”  ”TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE” as we would put it in indigenous aboriginal flow-based language, preserves the understanding of ‘mitakuye oyasin’, ‘everything is related’ within an all-including transforming relational continuum.  HERE WE ARE CAPTURING THE FLUID NATURE OF THE WORLD OF OUR SENSE-EXPERIENCE REALITY, … BUT WATCH OUT! … because the injecting of the BEING based proposition “The TOWN is GROWING, DEVELOPING and PRODUCING” is in the same fell swoop “DROPPING OUT” the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING CONJUGATE by way of SUBSTITUTING A NOTIONAL ABSOLUTE EMPTY AND INFINITE CONTAINING SPACE IN PLACE OF THE ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM THAT IS THE ‘MOTHER OF’ ALL MATERIAL CONDENSATIONS, so that WE ARE NOW, INAPPROPRIATELY AND BY WAY OF OUR LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING SCHEME, USING THE DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR TO CREATE A NAMING-INSTANTIATED “BEING” with the GRAMMAR-GIVEN POWERS of LOCAL AUTHORING of actions and development.

The summarizing extracts from the writings of Bohm and Jantsch describe the BEING-based source of the problems plaguing WESTERN CULTURE social dynamics, … which are described by Wittgenstein, Laing, Henry and Becker.

This following ‘chapter’ heading is from Bohm’s ‘Wholeness and the Implicate Order’ where he hits the nail on the head as to what is ‘going wrong’ in our WESTERN CULTURE linguistic conceptualizing and thus in our social dynamic.  Like I say, this is one of two longish quotes in this ‘POCKET REFERENCE’ and it is in this INTRODUCTION to the POCKET REFERENCE and not in the short ‘body’.  Here it is;

1 FRAGMENTATION AND WHOLENESS (from Wholeness and the Implicate Order by David Bohm)

The title of this chapter is ‘Fragmentation and wholeness’. It is especially important to consider this question today, for fragmentation is now very widespread, not only throughout society, but also in each individual; and this is leading to a kind of general confusion of the mind, which creates an endless series of problems and interferes with our clarity of perception so seriously as to prevent us from being able to solve most of them.

Thus art, science, technology, and human work in general, are divided up into specialities, each considered to be separate in essence from the others. Becoming dissatisfied with this state of affairs, men have set up further interdisciplinary subjects, which were intended to unite these specialities, but these new subjects have ultimately served mainly to add further separate fragments. Then, society as a whole has developed in such a way that it is broken up into separate nations and different religious, political, economic, racial groups, etc. Man’s natural environment has correspondingly been seen as an aggregate of separately existent parts, to be exploited by different groups of people. Similarly, each individual human being has been fragmented into a large number of separate and conflicting compartments, according to his different desires, aims, ambitions, loyalties, psychological characteristics, etc., to such an extent that it is generally accepted that some degree of neurosis is inevitable, while many individuals going beyond the ‘normal’ limits of fragmentation are classified as paranoid, schizoid, psychotic, etc.

Nietzsche has pointed out that FRAGMENTATION in our WESTERN CULTURE linguistic conceptualizing is coming from the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR and I will repeat  that important earlier-cited Nietzsche quote in that regard, as follows;

While Bohm points out that we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS are using language to FRAGMENT reality and describes how huge an issue this FRAGMENTATION is, Nietzsche has shown us the common WESTERN CULTURE FRAGMENTING TECHNIQUE which is by way of the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR which imputes LOCAL AUTHORING, which allows language users to simulate a BREAKING INTO THE CONTINUUM by way of imputing LOCAL AUTHORING and thus artificially SIDESTEP the (impossible) challenge of having to (try to) linguistically conceptualize the all-including transforming relational continuum.

ANOTHER PIECE OF THE PUZZLE of WESTERN CULTURE LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING lies in the PSYCHOLOGICAL side of things.  As Ernst Mach and others have pointed out, while we tend to focus on ‘THE LOGIC OF HOW THINGS “OUT THERE” WORK’, … that depends on how ‘THE LOGIC OF HOW THINGS “IN THERE” WORK’.

The science of psychology is auxiliary to physics.  The two mutually support one another, and it is only when they are united that a complete science is formed.  From our standpoint, the antithesis of subject and object, in the ordinary sense, does not exist.” — Ernst Mach. ‘The Analysis of Sensations and the Relation of the Physical to the Psychical,

“The world is given to me only once, not one existing and one perceived.  Subject and object are only one.  The barrier between tham cannot be said to be have broken down as a result of recent experience in the physical sciences, for this barrier does not exist. – “Erwin Schroedinger”

For example, while Donald Trump insists that all that counts, as far as GOVERNANCE goes in the so-called “INDEPENDENT” NATION of the UNITED STATES is WHAT IT, ITSELF NEEDS TO DO which is the CONSERVATIVE VIEW, while the LIBERAL VIEW of Joe Biden is that WHAT THE NATION DOES must take into consideration WHAT THE OTHERS OUT THERE ARE DOING. Bit In the PSYCHOLOGY of indigenous aboriginal people, the assumptions or questions DIFFER due to the understanding expressed by ‘mitakuye oyasin’ which is that ‘WE ARE ALL RELATED’ (and that includes the four-leggeds and the winged and slithering ones).  In other words, SUBJECT and OBJECT are only ONE in the sense that MATERIAL FORMS are CONDENSATIONS of the ALL-INCLUDING ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM aka WAVE-FIELD.

Even we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS who commonly split into CONSERVATIVE and LIBERAL psychological camps, may at times ‘get in touch with’ this understanding that that ‘everything is related’ and “DEMOTE” ‘POLITICS’ and embrace the ‘ONE-WITH-EVERYTHING’ psychological awareness that connects us all, as when we DROP our SUBJECT-OBJECT SPLITTING ABSTRACTION OF “INDEPENDENT BEING” and get back in touch with our sense-experience-supported understanding of ourselves as MATERIAL CONDENSATIONS of the all-including ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM aka WAVE-FIELD.

For my own part, as a teenager being helped along by my father and other adults finding me jobs etc., I have always been cognizant that I cannot claim that WHAT IS COMMONLY ACCEPTED AS ‘MY ACHIEVEMENTS are NOT SIMPLY SO, and in this sense of my innate INTERDEPENDNCE, these following phrases come to mind;

“There is a tide in the affairs of men Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune; Omitted, all the voyage of their life Is bound in shallows and in miseries. …  Sharkespeare’s ‘Julius Caesar’.

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted.” Ecclesiastes 3:1 – 8

The mind’s sensory AWARENESS thus perks up and shakes off the narrowness of the EGO-based delusion of INDEPENDENCE and REGAINS AWARENESS of INCLUSION in ‘TIDES’ or ‘SEASONS’ (WAVES) where our “INDEPENDENCE” is limited in the manner of a surfer whose actions are “HIS OWN”, ONLY IN TERMS OF HIS “SURFER SKILLS”.  In spite of this SENSE-EXPERIENCE AFFIRMED ‘SURFER’ REALITY, we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS, with our EGOIST obsession with laying claim to ‘INDEPENDENT’ BEING and INDEPENDENT AUTHORING POWERS, as linguistically affirmed using the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR whereby we keep slyly repeating “I DID IT MY WAY” instead of “I hitched a ride on a breaking wave” (aka ‘the tide’ or ‘the season’).

In SENSE-EXPERIENCE AFFIRMED REALITY, we CANNOT “honestly” speak in terms of action in the first person singular which implies that “my actions are transpiring in an absolute empty space of infinite extent”, but we must instead acknowledge that we are included in something greater than ourselves WHICH IS THE GENERAL CASE for material condensations of the all-including ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM aka WAVE-FIELD.  We are all SURFERS, and NOT INTELLECTUALLY ANIMATED ROBOTS since we are, as a rule and not as an exception, MANIFESTING OUR AWARENESS OF THE FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING WAVE-FIELD CONJUGATE THAT WE SHARE INCLUSION IN, THAT IS THE EVER-PRESENT ENABLER OF OUR MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING POTENTIALS, and I am saying  “POTENTIALS’ because these “POTENTIALS” are only brought to fruition conjointly within the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING – MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING CONJUGATE RELATION. The SURFER SKILL is NOT AN ‘ADD ON’ SKILL BUT AN INNATE CAPABILITY that we constantly employ with or without the SPECTACLE of SURF AND SURFBOARD.

FOR US WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS, IT IS ONLY OUR “BEING-BASED” LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING SCHEME that supports the HABIT of imputing to our notional “INDEPENDENT SELVES”, “OUR OWN NOTIONAL POWERS OF LOCAL AUTHORING of ACTIONS and DEVELOPMENT, as if there were such a thing as LOCAL AUTHORING that is INITIATED FROM US!  THERE IS NO SUCH THING!  This LOCAL AUTHORING MYTH dissolves, as it must, where we employ (as some of us habitually do, including indigenous aboriginals, Taoists/Buddhists and Advaita Vedanta adherents), a SENSE-EXPERIENCE GROUNDED VERB-BASED LANGUAGE wherein EVERYTHING IS IN FLUX, consistent with the understanding that “MATERIAL THINGS’ are CONDENSATIONS of the ALL-INCLUDING ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM aka WAVE-FIELD.  This defines the QUANTUM BOTH/AND LOGIC of the INCLUDING MEDIUM which naturally supersedes the SIMPLE ABSTRACTION of BINARY LOGIC.

IN SUM, we are NOT INDEPENDENT, we are ALL SURFERS, tapping into the relational dynamics we share inclusion in, WHEREUPON SOME OF US HAVE FALLEN INTO THE HABIT OF CLAIMING, with the help of BINARY LOGIC based LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING, THAT WE ARE THE “FULL AND SOLE LOCAL AUTHORS” OF “OUR OWN” ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENT.

Many of us have chosen to “go along with” this ERRONEOUS DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR based “LOCAL AUTHORING” ABSTRACTION”, on the basis of the positive side of the coin where such PSEUDO-AUTHORSHIP boosts our EGO by casting us in a favorable light, but this puts our WESTERN CULTURE JUSTICE system on the prowl, due to the BINARY LOGIC symmetry where we NOT ONLY REWARD AND CELEBRATE the purported “LOCAL AUTHORS” of POSITIVE ACTIONS and DEVELOPMENTS, BUT WE ALSO PUNISH AND DENIGRATE the purported  “LOCAL AUTHORS” of NEGATIVE ACTIONS and DEVELOPMENTS, ALL OF THIS RESTING DEPENDENTLY ON THE BOGUS  (DOUBLE ERROR BASED) NOTION OF “LOCAL AUTHORING!  BUT THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS “LOCAL AUTHORING” SINCE WE SHARE INCLUSION, AS CONDENSATIONS OF THE ONE, ALL-INCLUDING, ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM (aka WAVE-FIELD), wherein EVERYTHING IS RELATED (Mitakuye Oyasin). 

RELATIONAL THINKERS are THINKING in a manner that is LESS SIMPLE than RATIONAL THINKERS who constrain their thinking to one-sided MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING DYNAMICS since RELATIONAL THINKING includes the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING CONJUGATE DYNAMIC.  RELATIONAL THINKERS as in MODERN PHYSICS and in cultures such as indigenous aboriginal, Taoists/Buddhist and Advaita Vedanta cultures, by using RELATIONS as the primary reality, consistent with the understanding that material forms are CONDENSATIONS of the all-incluiding WAVE-FIELD, avoid the trap that WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS fall prey to by their (our) use of over-simplistic BEINGS-IN-EMPTY-SPACE-BASED LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING.

WE KNOW that we are ALL, IN REALITY, “SURFERS”  and by this I mean that the PHYSICAL REALITY is that we are living as CONDENSATIONS in the TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM  (aka WAVE-FIELD), and so it is NOT a question of whether WE CHOOSE OR DO NOT CHOOSE TO “MOVE IN PHASE WITH” or “GO WITH THE FLOW”, WE ARE PART OF IT, …”THAT IS WHO WE ARE” and the notional SEPARATION into INDEPENDENT MATERIAL BEINGS (“items of content”) moving about and interacting in an ABSOLUTE EMPTY, INFINITE “container” is only ABSTRACT BINARY LOGIC based WESTERN CULTURE LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZATION which is the source of FRAGMENTATION and OBSCURANTISM. 

It would be INACCURATE to say that we are constantly in receipt of either “HELP” or “HINDRANCE” from the “TIDES” and “SEASONS”, but it would make sense to acknowledge that we are included in something greater than ourselves that is, as Kepler put it in the title of his major work ‘THE HARMONIES OF THE WORLD’.    

And the reason we sow the fields in the spring and harvest in the fall is NOT simply because WE HAVE AN INTELLECTUAL KNOWLEDGE OF FARMING but because we have a natural AWARENESS of our INCLUSION IN THE TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM aka the WAVE-FIELD wherein “there are tides that we are encompassed in” so that we must naturally attune to the seasonal and other ambient cyclic influences we share inclusion in.

So, to me, it has always been a joke to see people lay claim to what they impute to be THEIR OWN SELF-AUTHORED SUCCESSES, even where they may be the offspring of the rich and powerful where the masses, including the police and ‘authorities’ give them far better than average ‘accommodating’ since, while no-one cares or is looking out for the interests of the poor and ugly, the rich and beautiful grow accustomed to better-than-average treatment within the WESTERN social dynamic which is not deriving from WHO THEY ARE AS GIVEN BY THEIR REAL LIFE INTERACTIONS, but is deriving from who they are in terms of SOCIAL SYMBOLISM and that could be ‘good news’ or ‘bad new’ though not necessily having anything to do with the ‘humanity’ of the individual (which brings us back to the “THREE LEVELS OF AWARENESS” of Erich Jantsch).

So, as Mach observes; The science of psychology is auxiliary to physics.  The two mutually support one another. In this case, the physical “STORY” is insufficient.  We hear expressions like ‘Cherchez la femme’ meaning that we can’t simply and straightforwardly come to an understanding of vents based only on the visible material particulars of the event.  There may be an extensive nonvisible, background matrix of relations that is calling the shots while our ‘normal’ observations are giving us a ‘puppet show-like’ presentation, the invisible strings being more responsible for the visible actions than what we can see from the physical dynamics or what we can hear from what may in most cases be a superficial dialogue.  What is important to consider in analyzing PHYSICAL dynamics, as Mach points out, is PSYCHOLOGICAL DYNAMICS.

Erich Jantsch’s Three Levels of Inquiry are EXTREMELY USEFUL and INFORMATIVE in that it explains where differences such as between CONSERVATIVES and LIBERALS are coming from and WHY we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERNETS are UNABLE to tune in to the Highest, LEVEL 1 INQUIRY and AWARENESS where MODERN PHYSICS, indigenous aboriginals, Taoists/Buddhists and Advaita Vedanta adherents tune in; i.e. because we limit ourselves to BINARY LOGIC and because BINARY LOGIC is too simple to ‘take us the distance’, so that we (the overall social collective) are divided into CONSERVATIVE LEVEL 3 based on MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING, without LEVEL 2 based on FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING, … “AND” …. LIBERAL LEVEL 2 which acknowledges BOTH MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING  (KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID), and, as well, FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING (TO EVERYTHING THERE IS A SEASON).  Some kind of psychological review and interpretation aka INQUIRY precedes our actions.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS HAVE DIFFICULTY GETTING TO LEVEL 1 INQUIRY BECAUSE LEVEL 1 INQUIRY IS QUANTUM LOGIC BASED WHILE LEVELS 3 AND 2 ARE BINARY LOGIC BASED.  The indigenous aboriginals DO NOT NEED BINARY LOGIC, and therefore do not GET HUNG UP WITH THE LIMITATIONS OF BINARY LOGIC relative to QUANTUM LOGIC which is LEVEL 1 LOGIC.  As the Anishnabe say;

I INCLUDE these comments on how BINARY LOGIC, being SIMPLER than QUANTUM LOGIC “CHASES OUT” QUANTUM LOGIC by ‘filling all the slots’ where QUANTUM LOGIC is needed with the simpler BINARY LOGIC which appears to ‘work’ but at the price of a LOSS of full WAVE-FIELD understanding since the DROP-DOWN from QUANTUM LOGIC to BINARY LOGIC is the same DROP-DOWN as from COMPLEX mathematical understanding to REAL only (without the IMAGINARY COMPONENT) mathematical understanding. This is the ESSENCE of the DUMBING DOWN of the language we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS are currently using; i.e. it is the same dumbing down as in coming from the full complex REAL + IMAGINARY WAVE-FIELD understanding to the SIMPLE REAL COMPONENT ONLY understanding where we speak in terms of the MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING … WITHOUT… the FEMALE ACCOMODATING/ENABLING.  This is where the BINARY LOGIC of the SACRED and PROFANE ‘comes into play and limits the scope of our WESTERN CULTURE LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING.  The QUANTUM LOGIC is the RELATIONAL LOGIC of RESONANCE and DISSONANCE, where the REMEDY for relational DISSONANCE is the co-cultivating of relational RESONANCE (HARMONY) where PURIFICATIONISM is a DEGENERATE simplification.

BECAUSE WESTERN CULTURE is LOCKED IN BY HIGH SWITCHING COSTS to the use of BINARY LOGIC, we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS are currently BLOCKED from getting to where we need to be which is to the HIGHEST LEVEL OF INQUIRY, LEVEL 1 WHERE QUANTUM LOGIC is required; e.g. where we are able to SAY and UNDERSTAND the LESS SIMPLE MEANING of ‘there is TOWNING in the TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM’ … in place of the SIMPLE  ‘The TOWN is GROWING, DEVELOPING and PRODUCING goods’.

ASCENDING to LEVEL 1 and the use of QUANTUM LOGIC SUBSUMES THE CONSERVATIVE – LIBERAL SPLIT since once we are using QUANTUM LOGIC, there are no DIVISIBLE ‘EITHER/OR’ SPLITS, there are only RESONANCE and DISSONANCE based relational tensions which are resolved RELATIONALLY and NOT by way of PURIFICATION involving the ELIMINATING of those BEINGS that are WRONG or BAD along with the PRESERVING and PROLIFERATING of those BEINGS that are CORRECT or GOOD.

This has been a comment on WHY WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS are likely NOT TO SEE LEVEL -1- and thus to persist in fighting in support of EITHER 2 OR 3 as in the antagonism between CONSERVATIVES (conservatives are level 3 INQUIRERS) and LIBERALS (liberals are LEVEL 2 INQUIRERS).

Erich Jantsch’s LEVELS OF INQUIRY explain how we become divided among ourselves by our differing LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING SCHEMES.  Jantsch describes three levels of INQUIRY which he terms ‘scientific’, ‘mythological’ and ‘evolutionary’ LEVELS OF INQUIRY These levels of INQUIRY emerge in many philosophical investigations, including my own.  For the ease that comes with consistency with the rest of my writing in this and other philosophical investigations, I am changing the “LABELS” that Jantsch is using for the LEVELS of INQUIRY.   My three categories are;  MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING (in place of ‘scientific’),    FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING (in place of mythological)   and   ANDROGYNOUS TRANSFORMATION (in place of ‘evolutionary’.   Meanwhile, I believe we GO TO THE SAME PLACE, … or to THE SAME THREE PLACES.  (p.s. the corrections in the type-writer copies of Jantsch’s text I’m assuming are Jantsch’s)

HERE GOES; … Jantsch’s THREE LEVELS of Transexperiential INQUIRY.

Level 3, the LOWEST LEVEL which is SCIENTIFIC in Jantsch’s terms and MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING in my terms FOCUSES ON THE LOCAL AND EXPLICIT, as if this were “REALITY” (the simplest level of ‘reality’).  In this level, we speak in terms of WHAT THINGS DO (their ASSERTING ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENTS) as if INDEPENDENT BEINGS within an ABSOLUTE EMPTY AND INFINITE SPACE.  In Jantsch’s model, in this SCIENTIFIC level we are ‘on dry land’ and our actions are ‘our local and explicit actions.’

This is where we say MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING things like “the TOWN is GROWING”

Level 2, the MIDDLE LEVEL which is MYTHOLOGICAL in Jantsch’s terms and FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING in my terms, as if this were “REALITY” (the middle level of ‘reality’).  In this level, we speak in terms of HOW THINGS ACCOMMODATE the relational dynamics they find themselves included in. In Jantsch’s model, in this level we are swimming in a pool with others and thus our actions are a combination of our asserting actions and incoming waves as distorted by incoming influences from the environment.    This is NOT QUITE THE SAME, because I am using the WAVE-MODEL wherein the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING is NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT (relational).

This is where we say FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING things like “the WILDERNESS IS SHRINKING”.  We are no longer able to quantitatively measure this, as we could the GROWTH of the TOWN, because the WILDERNESS is NOT A LOCAL, EXPLICIT THING like the TOWN but a NONLOCAL, IMPLICIT ‘EXPANSE’ .

NOTA BENE: WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS DO NOT ‘GET TO’ LEVEL 1 as indigenous aboriginals, Taoists/Buddhists and Advaita Vedanta adherents do, because BINARY LOGIC is TOO SIMPLE to take one there and QUANTUM LOGIC is needed.  There is more on this issue after completing this review of AWARENESS LEVELS

Level 1. The HIGHEST LEVEL which is EVOLUTIONARY in Jantsch’s terms and ANDROGYNOUS in my terms, as if this were “REALITY”.  In this level, we speak in terms of the ALL-INCLUDING TRANSFORMATION where, as Schroedinger says, SUBJECT AND OBJECT are ONLY ONE; i.e. where material forms are CONDENSATIONS of the ALL-INCLUDING WAVE-FIELD.  In Jantsch’s model, in this highest level, he emphasizes that we are part of the evolutionary process, and while this is ALSO SO in the model I am describing, because I am coming from the WAVE-FIELD point of view, the key difference in this, the HIGHEST level,  LEVEL 1,  is the QUANTUM LOGIC union wherein FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING and MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING are understood as ONE.  WE, as CONDENSATIONS of the ALL-INCLUDING WAVE-FIELD, ACKNOWLEDGE OUR INCLUSION in the TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM.  We become ONE WITH EVERYTHING.

CONTAINER AND CONTENT ARE NOW ONE, … I AM THE CONDENSATION OF THE ALL-INCLUDING ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM; SUBJECT AND OBJECT ARE ONLY ONE.

While BINARY LOGIC is TOO SIMPLE “BECAUSE, IN SUPPORTING ABSOLUTE “BEING” IN EMPTY SPACE, IT DROPS OUT THE FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING conjugate OF THE ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM and that is the source of FRAGMENTATION and OBSCURANTISM.

EVIDENTLY, WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS are for the most part tuning in to understanding that is BINARY LOGIC based which ALLOWS ONLY INQUIRY LEVELS 3 and 2, those both being accessible in BINARY LOGIC terms, while level 1 requires QUANTUM LOGIC.  In living within WESTERN CULTURE, we are continually bombarded with linguistic discourse that is BINARY LOGIC based which is SIMPLER than, and in effect, SHUTS OUT, QUANTUM LOGIC expression so that, for WESTERN CULTURE BINARY LOGIC users, there is no quick access to LEVEL 1 AWARENESS.
