The data are coming together to say this to me, … WESTERN CULTURE is undergoing a kind of self-implosion which is captured by some (as in attached article by Gilchrist) as dropping out the RIGHT BRAIN and GOING SOLELY WITH THE LEFT BRAIN (in his two-brains model).  Although I deal in wave-fields rather than split brain theory, he is clearly talking about a real shift in the general ‘understanding approach’ of WESTERN CULTURE which is tied to our differing LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING APPROACHES.  That is, there are differences in LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING APPROACH between indigenous aboriginals who employ “FLOW-BASED” linguistic conceptualizing such as “THERE IS TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE” wherein EVERYTHING IS IN FLUX INCLUDING OURSELVES, … to “BEING-BASED” linguistic conceptualizing such as “THE TOWN IS GROWING, DEVELOPING and PRODUCING goods”, and my friend HENRY is GROWING DEVELOPING and PRODUCING goods”.

 

I am ready to publish my understanding of what is going on here, which reviews the findings of Bohm, Vygotsky and others, and so I am open to receiving suggestions from anyone in regard to potential facilitators (people who edit and ‘coach’ the writer as to how to EFFECTIVELY present such materials).  Or if anyone reading this may be interested in being a kind of EDITOR/ADVISOR, that could help me get these understandings of things into an appealing and digestible presentation form. Basically, my presentation will take the reader (or listener or viewer) through an understanding of how our presentations to ourselves of our wave-field world, we have split into two conjugate parts (male asserting/actualizing and female accommodating/enabling  AND THEN, DROPPED OUT THE FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING part (component) and SUBSTITUTED IN ITS PLACE,  ABSOLUTE EMPTY AND INFINITE SPACE, so that our LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING of REALITY has DRIFTED INTO a ONE-SIDED MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING based LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING scheme (e.g. we have shifted from ‘to everything there is a season and a time to every purpose’, to simply one-sided male asserting/actualizing constructs that DROP OUT the FEMALE ENVELOPE (the season which is somehow appropriate for certain types of action, as also implied in Shakespeare’s “there is a tide in the affairs of men…”.   In terms of the conjugate relational combination of female accommodating/enabling (the appropriate season) and male asserting/actualizing action, what commonly happens in our WESTERN CULTURE linguistic conceptualizing is that while our actions continue to be inductively shaped by unfolding events, our language has shifted towards purely one-sided captures of WHAT WE DO (the male asserting/actualizing conjugate aspect) DROPPING OUT the predominating, ever-present female accommodating/enabling situation.  YES, WE CAN MAKE OUR OWN ONE-SIDED PLANS OF MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING,  AND CARRY THEM OUT without sensitivity to the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING conditions.  For example, the CHARGE OF THE LIGHT BRIGADE.

 

There is also the CONTRASTING views of ROBINSON CRUSOE who tried to reshape the SOUTH SEAS DESERTED ISLAND environment he was marooned on, into something more like what he had become accustomed to in European home situation, … and SUZANNE DE LA PACIFIQUE who was also marooned on a SOUTH SEAS DESERTED ISLAND and who, instead of imposing her FRENCH customs on her environment, opened herself up to a personal transformation putting her in HARMONY with the NEW ENVIRONMENT she found herself in.  In other words, we are always in this confluence of what WESTERN CULTURE might call the NATURE-NURTURE influences based on the model of the HUMAN BEING which is notionally a SEPARATE and INDEPENDENT BEING with internal action asserting/actualizing powers as well as capabilities to respond and adapt to environmental influences.   Such a model is BINARY EITHER/OR LOGIC OF THE EXCLUDED MEDIUM based (there are either MATERIAL ENTITIES OR EMPTY SPACE and thus very different from the indigenous aboriginal and Modern physics understandings which are NONBINARY BOTH/AND LOGIC of the INCLUDING MEDIUM based where the individual is an INTERCONNECTED and INTERDEPENDENT flow-feature in the TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM.

 

Vygotsky raises an important point (essential to in-depth understanding) here, in that WE CAN’T LEGITIMATELY SPLIT what is essentially the WAVE-FIELD into a PEAK (male asserting/actualizing) and a trough (female accommodating/enabling) and then KEEP THE MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING while TOSSING OUT THE FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING, … NOT BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE UNFAIR TO THE FEMALE COMPONENT but BECAUSE THESE TWO DO NOT SPLIT APART, THEY ARE FLIP SIDES OF A SINGLE COINAGE (which is why we have to have complex (real + imaginary) mathematics in dealing with our WAVE-FIELD reality.  Vygotsky criticized Piaget for Piaget’s SPLITTING APART of SCIENTIFIC (local and explicit) and SPONTANEOUS (nonlocal and implicit) linguistic conceptualization, pointing out that these dual aspects of language are CONJUGATE and like the peak and trough of a wave, DO NOT SPLIT APART INTO TWO SEPARATE THINGS so that one could KEEP THE MALE ASSERTING PEAK and DROP OUT the encumbering FEMALE TROUGH as in our commonly used WESTERN CULTURE linguistic conceptualizing scheme..

 

This screw up appears to come from EGO supports the notion of LOCAL AUTHORING of actions and development which is NOT REAL but a fabrication based on the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR; e.g. ‘the TOWN is GROWING’ which makes no mention of the conjugate SHRINKING of WILDERNESS.  ACHTUNG!  NOTA BENE!  We are making the same mistake that Piaget made that Vygotsky pointed out, THE GROWING OF THE TOWN and the SHRINKING of the WILDERNESS … ARE NOT TWO SEPARATE AND INDEPENDENT ACTIONS, they are CONJUGATE aspects of the ONE DYNAMIC of TRANSFORMATION of the overall LANDSCAPE.  Vygotsky CATCHES PIAGET in making the MISTAKE of BUILDING INTO OUR WESTERN CULTURE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM the practice of teaching our children (too) SIMPLE BINARY LOGIC based linguistic conceptualizing.  This is the source of many problems in WESTERN CULTURE social dynamics and it is the reason why WE WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS have NOT accepted, as makes sense and as the indigenous aboriginals and Modern physics have, the NONBINARY BOTH/AND LOGIC of the INCLUDING MEDIUM as the foundation for linguistic conceptualizing.  Vygotsky has pointed out this MAJOR ERROR which persists in the WESTERN CULTURE family of linguistic conceptualizing schemes.

 

“Though fundamentally different in nature, the development of scientific [local and explicit] and spontaneous [nonlocal and implicit] concepts represents two sides of the same concept formation”  [implying a WAVE-BASED STRUCTURE].

“Our disagreement with Piaget centers on one point only, but an important point. He assumes that development and instruction are entirely separate, incommensurate processes, that the function of instruction is merely to introduce adult ways of thinking, which conflict with the child’s own and eventually supplant them. Such a supposition stems from the old psychological tradition of separating the structural from the functional aspects of development.” –Vygotsky

 

THIS is pointing to a FOUNDATIONALLY IMPORTANT ERROR in our WESTERN CULTURE linguistic conceptualizing scheme which Vygotsky is flagging; i.e. while our observations support a WAVE-FIELD based structure of the world we are living in and ‘talking about’, wherein the LOCAL and EXPLICIT MATERIAL FORMS AND THEIR ACTIONS ARE ONLY APPEARANCE (e.g. the TOWN is GROWING) while the NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT ENERAGY-CHARED PLENUM is the REALITY (i.e. the LOCAL and EXPLICIT CONDENSATIONS of the PLENUM (wave-field) are only APPEARANCE (Schaumkommen, in Schroedinger’s language).

The WESTERN CULTURE MISTAKE is our DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR to imply the existence and movement of LOCAL, EXPLICIT MATERIAL OBJECTS, as if within an ABSOLUTE EMPTY AND INFINITE SPACE, and in the process, DROPPING OUT MENTION of the NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT energy-charged PLENUM, implying as a holding tank for the LOCAL, EXPLICIT MATERIAL OBJECTS, … an ABSOLUTE EMPTY AND INFINITE CONTAINING SPACE which is UNINVOLVED in any material dynamics, in which case the LOCAL, EXPLICIT MATERIAL OBJECTS and their actions and interactions are the FULL AND SOLE AUTHORS OF THE WESTERN CULTURE linguistic conceptualization of this BINARY LOGIC based (PSEUDO-) REALITY.

 

It seems evident that EGO is the culprit in what we are doing to ourselves here with this over-simplistic BINARY LOGIC supported LOCAL AUTHOR based conceptualizing of “REALITY” (just look at TRUMP and what STUPIDITIES DAILY SPRING FORTH FROM HIS EGO based support of “LOCAL AUTHORING” , … which, like our WESTERN CULTURE in general, supports and encourages this SUBSTITUTION of the LOCAL and EXPLICIT MATERIAL OBJECTS IN EMPTY SPACE (a BINARY EITHER/OR LOGIC of the EXCLUDED MEDIUM LOGICAL STRUCTURE), in place of the actual NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM with it CONDENSATIONS which are BOTH themselves AND at the same time, the ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM they share inclusion in.

 

While the INTERPLAY in the BINARY EITHER/OR LOGIC of the EXCLUDED MEDIUM based dynamics of MATERIAL OBJECTS in EMPTY SPACE is MECHANISTIC, the INTERPLAY in the NONBINARY BOTH/AND LOGIC OF THE ALL-INCLUDING, ENERGY-CHARGED MEDIUM and its CONDENSATIONS wherein ‘everything is in flux’, is TRANSFORMATION.

 

WESTERN CULTURE which continues to cling to the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR based LOCAL AUTHORING CLAIM, clearly has an EGO problem, which is infused into our EVERYDAY LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING since we have, over the past few centuries, STOPPED SAYING THINGS LIKE ‘TO EVERYTHING THERE IS A SEASON AND A TIME TO EVERY PURPOSE’, … and simply go with the one sided MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING, I AM BUILDING A NEW HOTEL AND GOLF COURSE HERE, as if there were no need to mention the conjugate LOSS of wilderness and thus the overall TRANSFORMATION that is what is REALLY GOING ON.  We do not have to put a feather in a headband to think of what the indigenous aboriginal is thinking here, that the ONE-SIDED STORY OF CONSTRUCTION is NOT REALITY since it DROPS OUT acknowledgement of the conjugate SHRINKING of WILDERNESS and the overall TRANSFORMING OF THE LANDSCAPE.

 

SO, WE MUST KEEP IN MIND THE “EGO” INFLUENCE that COMES WITH THE UNREAL NOTION OF “LOCAL AUTHORING” (the construction of the TOWN or RECREATION FACILITY) because we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS are evidently unable to quit our habit of REDUCING our linguistic conceptualizations to ONE-SIDED MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING propositions, and as Goedel’s Theorem says, “ALL FINITE LOGICAL PROPOSITIONS ARE INCOMPLETE”, which means we are DROPPING SOMETHING OUT every time we make BOLD STATEMENTS (MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING PROPOSITIONS) that capture “OUR ACTIONS”.  These BOLD STATEMENTS are often EGO-DRIVEN and we must recall that while INSPIRATION FILLS THE HEART, EGO SWELLS THE HEAD.

 

INSPIRATION is describing feelings that come with our awareness of INCLUSION in something greater than ourselves, while EGO has us DEPART from that sense of inclusion and has us put on the EMEROR’S NEW CLOTHES of the PRODUCER AND DIRECTOR of NEW DEVELOPMENTS.  Of course, what is really going on IS NOT FINELY ENERGINEERD CONSTRUCTION, WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON is that we are IGNORANTLY TINKERING WITH the ONGOING TRANSFORMATION THAT WE SHARE INCLUSION IN THAT IS COMPLEX BEYOND OUR INTELLECTUAL REACH, while our EGO has us CLAIMING PERSONAL CREDIT for AUTHORING LOCAL EXPLICIT STUFF, and as Nietzsche has pointed out, this FALSE NOTION of LOCAL AUTHORING derives from the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR as in DONALD TRUMP WAS HERE AND HE DID THIS, as if we could isolate the “THIS” from the all-including transforming relational continuum; i.e. as if the LOCAL and EXPLICIT was an OUT THERE IN FRONT OF US (PSEUDO) REALITY that was more IMPORTANT than the all-including TRANSFORMATION in which we are INCLUDED.

 

LOCAL AUTHORING is something we like to speak of, as in connection with the works of Michelangelo and his paintings and sculptures, but as he has put it, he is just liberating what is already in gestation and Michelangelo had a good eye for that as is characteristic of artistically gifted people; i.e. artists do not create beautiful things as much as they help beautiful potentials to manifest.  Suzanne de la Pacifique did not, as Robinson Crusoe did, IMPOSE her personal understanding on the environment, but by using the environment as raw materials, she offered herself and her talents to be guided by the ambient “HARMONIES OF THE WORLD” (the title of Kepler’s master work).

 

EGO IS A BINARY LOGIC BASED INFLUENCE that tends to BLOCK our access to the HARMONIES OF THE WORLD WE SHARE INCLUSION IN, and has us surveying the world for a place to install one-sided MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING STRUCTURES with the “EGOTISM” of SKYSCRAPERS that make no attempt to BLEND IN OR HARMONIZE with the world they are included in, which CONTRAST with the indigenous aboriginal adobe pueblos that “are designed to match and harmonize with the desert landscape, both aesthetically and functionally”.

 

In other words, EGO has a DUMBING DOWN effect on us.  While it is natural for us to be INFORMED BY OUR SITUATIONAL SENSE EXPERIENCE OF INCLUSION IN THE TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM and to be a MIDWIFE for the male asserting/actualizing of the female accommodating/enabling potentials that open up for us, there is a mischievous tendency in us WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS, to let our EGO take over and drop out of the HARMONIES OF THE WORLD, which involves IGNORING the seductive pull of the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING influence (the NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT conjugate) as was picked up on by Suzanne de la Pacifique, and instead following in the footsteps of Robinson Crusoe, going with the MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING influence (the LOCAL and EXPLICIT conjugate).

 

Should we give ourselves up to INSPIRATION, to the PULL of something greater than us, that we are naturally included in, as in the story of Suzanne de la Pacifique, or should we follow in the path of Robinson Crusoe and listen to our own EGO tell us how we could take our own knowledge and skills and impose them on the land, like an opportunist; e.g. like a Donald Trump making a recreation park out of the Gaza Strip.  A comparison between Suzanne de la Pacifique and Robinson Crusoe  is an example of how INSPIRATION can be DISPLACED by EGO, and while INSPIRATION fills the heart, EGO swells the head.

 

INSPIRATION and EGO are alternatives for Captaining our Ship

 

Emerson: Whilst a necessity so great caused the man to exist, his health and erectness consist in the fidelity with which he transmits influences from the vast and universal to the point on which his genius can act. The ends are momentary: they are vents for the current of inward life which increases as it is spent. A man’s wisdom is to know that all ends are momentary, that the best end must be superseded by a better. But there is a mischievous tendency in him to transfer his thought from the life to the ends, to quit his agency and rest in his acts: the tools run away with the workman, the human with the divine. (i.e. the human EGO runs away with the divine INSPIRATION). 

 

By keeping INSPIRATION in its natural PRIMACY over EGO, we sustain our LEVEL 1 AWARENESS in our THREE LEVELS of AWARENESS capability as described by Erich Jantsch;

 

Jantsch’s THREE LEVELS of AWARENESS EXPLAIN the divisions between CONSERVATIVES and LIBERALS and EXPLAIN also, the DIVISION between WESTERN CULTURE and INDIGENOUS ABORIGINAL CULTURE.   I can ad lib a quickie definition of the THREE LEVELS to show how we (the overall social collective) can become DIVIDED by a focus on one or the other of the TWO LOWEST LEVELS OF AWARENESS.  The HIGHEST LEVEL 1  of the 3 LEVELS is actually an INTEGRATION of levels 2 and 3 while level 2 includes within it level 3.

 

LEVEL 1  WARENESS is like the indigenous aboriginal understanding ‘everything is related’ since we are CONDENSATIONS of the ALL-INCLUDING TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM.

LEVEL 2 AWARENESS is like the LIBERAL understanding wherein we acknowledge that all Nations are INTERCONNECTED and INTERDEPENDENT hence COOPERATION makes sense.

LEVEL 3 AWARENESS is like the CONSERVATIVE  EGO-based ‘survival of the fittest’ understanding wherein COMPETING TO WIN will cultivate strength/capability and overall supremacy.

 

Modern physics AFFIRMS the LEVEL 1 AWARENESS which supports our understanding that we are like STRANDS IN A WEB so that when things go WRONG AS IN the VIOLENCE, the VIOLENCE of a STRAND in the WEB is NOT LOCALLY AUTHORED by the STRAND since the STRANDS are ANIMATED by the WEB .

 

The WEB DYNAMIC is FIRST OF ALL A RELATIONAL DYNAMIC that is NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT in ORIGIN, like the traffic circulation in the PLACE D’ÉTOILE in Paris or in a BUMPER CAR GAME in the amusement park which WESTERN CULTURE LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING likes to capture in BINARY EITHER/OR LOGIC of the EXCLUDED MEDIUM TERMS where the complex reality, prior to our LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZATION based REDUCTION, is NONBINARY BOTH/AND LOGIC of the INCLUDING MEDIUM based.

 

The popular (in WESTERN CULTURE) DROPPING OUT of INFORMATION to create a SIMPLIFIED (BINARY LOGIC BASED) SUBSTITUTE REALITY in the case of VIOLENT COLLISION, imposes an abstract EMPTY and INFINITE EUCLIDEAN SPACE FRAME in which the FOCUS of a SPOTLIGHT illuminates only a PERPETRATOR-VICTIM COMBINATION, where we start with the simplified question “WHO IS AT FAULT” or “WHO IS THE AUTHOR OF THIS COLLISION” which in indigenous aboriginal culture and in Modern physics MAKES NO SENSE because what has physically occurred has a STRANDS-IN-THE-WEB structure which is the equivalent of the ‘THREE BODY PROBLEM” in physics; i.e “the impossibility of calculating the individual movements of three or more bodies moving under one-another’s simultaneous mutual influence”.

 

We know that the traffic flow in the Place D’Étoile and ‘strands in the web’ situations involve movement wherein IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO CALCULATE  the PARTICULAR ACTIONS of an INDIVIDUAL STRAND IN THE WEB which is intuitively known to us and to indigenous aboriginals and THIS is why indigenous aboriginals have developed the HEALING CIRCLE where the understanding is; OUR THE RELATIONS IN OUR COMMUNITY HAVE BECOME DISSONANT and there are ERUPTIONS OF VIOLENT CONFLICT.  The LEVEL 1 AWARENESS of indigenous aboriginals informs them the origin of dissonance in a STRANDS-IN-THE-WEB situation wherein everything is INTERCONNECTED and INTERDEPENDENT in the manner of STRANDS in a WEB is NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT and LOCAL and EXPLICIT ERUPTIONS of VIOLENCE are only APPEARANCE, or as Schroedinger says, “Schaumkommen”.

 

In other words, IN A STRAND IN THE WEB DYNAMIC, THE VIOLENT STRAND IS NOT THE AUTHOR OF ITS VIOLENT ACTION BUT THE CONDUIT OF VIOLENCE ENGENDERED WITHIN THE WEB.

 

HERE WE HAVE THE UNDERSTANDING OF JANTSCH’S THREE LEVELS OF AWARENESS and their ties to our LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING SCHEMES.

 

LEVEL 1  AWARENESS is like the indigenous aboriginal STRANDS IN THE WEB that secure RESONANCE between the NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT and the LOCAL and EXPLICIT (i.e. resonance between the OUTER and INNER as with wave-harmony).

LEVEL 2 AWARENESS is like the LIBERAL PARTICIPANTS in a spherical world where AUTHORING is INTERCONNECTED and INTERDEPENDENT so that COOPERATION is natural and essential.

LEVEL 3 AWARENESS is like the CONSERVATIVE EGO-based ‘survival of the fittest’ wherein COMPETING TO WIN can cultivate strength/capability to sustain overall SUPREMACY.

 

In the LEADERSHIP of CONSERVATIVE DONALD TRUMP, the AWARENESS LEVEL 3 commitment to OVERALL SUPREMACY is clear and distinguishes the TRUMP CONSERVATIVES from the LIBERALS who, because they believe in a world of INTERCONNECTION and INTERDEPENDENCE, support a politics of COOPERATION and ALLIANCES rather than one of OVERALL SUPREMACY as TRUMP is RE-ORIENTING the U.S. towards.  If the INDEPENDENT OF NATIONS WERE A REALITY, then TRUMP’S EFFORTS in TRADE REFORMS and the abandoning of ALLIANCES to pursue LEVEL 3 AWARE GLOBAL SUPREMACY would have at least “LOGICAL MEANING” but given that the world is characterized by INTERCONNECTION and INTERDEPENDENCE, it is INSANE to pursue SUBOPTIMIZATION of the PURPORTED INDEPENDENT NATION which is in reality a STRAND in an INERCONNECTED and INTERDEPENDENT WEB.   As Systems Sciences have warned, the pursuit of SUBOPTIMIZATION (e.g. the optimizing of a single NATION as if it were INDEPENDENT is inappropriate, conflict‐generating and dysfunctional in a world characterized by global interconnectedness and mutual interdependence.

 

The above aphorism (The Name of the Devil is Suboptimization’), attributed to Kenneth Boulding, points to the inherent weakness characterizing the mindset and socio‐economic, political, educational and managerial practices of Western Industrial society as it developed over the past 300 years. It has its basis in the analytic‐reductionist scientific paradigm, which, despite the remarkable technological applications it spawned, is inappropriate, conflict‐generating and dysfunctional in a world characterized by global interconnectedness and mutual interdependence …” — György Jaros and Martine Dodds-Taljaard  (International Society of Systems Sciences)

 

The DIFFERENCE between LIBERALS and CONSERVATIVES is that while LIBERALS see the need for COOPERATIVE OPTIMIZATION (LEVEL 2 AWARENESS) which acknowledges the basic PHYSICAL INTERCONNECTIONS and INTERDEPENDENCIES of NATIONS sharing interconnected and interdependent residence within a common spherical space, CONSERVATIVES see the need for INDIVIDUAL  SUBOPTIMIZATION (LEVEL 3 AWARENESS) which falls into the trap of confusing the “NOTIONAL INDEPENDENCE” of the NATION with “PHYSICAL INDEPENDENCE”, which is the MISTAKE that that induced SYSTEMS SCIENTISTS to come up with the warning that ‘The Name of the Devil is Suboptimization’.   That is, it is ONE THING to “DECLARE A NATION TO BE INDEPENDENT” but the rivers and winds and magnetic and electric fields DON’T PAY MUCH ATTENTION to such INTELLECTUALLY COMPELLING DECLARATIONS WITH THEIR SUPPORTIVE IMAGINARY LINE BASED DEFINITIONS, apart from the CARROT AND STICK based ENCOURAGEMENTS that come with the PACKAGE.

 

The FACT that we, …any of us, … can get LOCKED IN to one or other of those LEVELS OF AWARENESS explains MUCH about the DYSFUNCTION in our WESTERN CULTURE SOCIAL DYNAMIC that has been catalogued by psychologists and anthropologists including Ronald Laing, Jules Henry and Ernest Becker, all of whom have expressed concern about the global impact of WESTERN CULTURE.  In this essay, the finding is that while we have access to three levels of AWARENESS, there is a natural arrangement wherein while Level 1 Awareness (RESONANCE) includes Level 2 Awareness (COOPERATION) and Level 3 Awareness (COMPETITION), we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS are tending to ‘fall from grace’ (fall out of RESONANCE (Awareness level 1 aka TRANSFORMATION mode) wherein our LOGIC is the NONBINARY BOTH/AND LOGIC of the INCLUDING MEDIUM wherein we are ONE-WITH-EVERYTHING, and following the fall we find ourselves in a BINARY EITHER/OR LOGIC of the EXCLUDED MEDIUM collection of INDEPENDENT BEINGS in ABSOLUTE EMPTY AND INFINITE SPACE, tending either towards COOPERATION (Awareness level 2 aka LIBERAL) or tending towards COMPETITION (Awareness level 3 aka CONSERVATIVE).

Psychiatrist Ronald Laing’s “THE DIVIDED SELF”, Anthropologist Jules Henry’s “CULTURE AGAINST MAN”,  Anthropologist Ernest Becker’s “DENIAL OF DEATH”, and Modern physics pioneer David Bohm’s ‘FRAGMENTATION’ leadoff chapter in “Wholeness and the Implicate Order” are frequently cited in my writing and their critiques of THE PSYCHOLOGICAL PREMISES OF OUR WESTERN CULTURE are not simply a collection of RANDOM ATTACKS selected by my PERSONAL BIAS, they are the authors’ deeply felt appeals for a needed AWAKENING of WESTERN CULTURE to the understandings that are reviewd in this essay, a general model for which is the indigenous aboriginal STRANDS IN THE WEB which supports the LEVEL 1 AWARENESS of our RESONANCE based interconnection and interdependence.

 

The following selection of comments from Henry, Becker and Laing underscore the SERIOUSNESS of the MISUNDERSTANDING the we have built into our LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING APPROACH which has been described in detail in this essay; i.e. in the words of these authors;

 

School is an institution for drilling children in cultural orientation. …American classrooms, like educational institutions anywhere express the values, preoccupations,and fears found in the culture as a whole. School has no choice; it must train the children to fit the culture as it is. …Since education is always against some things and for others, it bears the burden of the cultural obsessions. …It thus comes about that most educational systems are imbued with anxiety and hostility, that they are against as many things as they are for. … The function of education has never been to free the mind and the spirit of man, but to bind them…acquiescence, not originality. …Schools are the central conserving force of the culture.”  — Jules Henry, Culture Against Man

What DOES NOT SHOW UP in these CRITICISMS of our WESTERN CULTURE is the PATH TO RESOLVING THE FRAGMENTATION, for which there have been MANY ALLUSIONS to in the BODY OF THIS ESSAY, in the works of Nietzsche and Bohm, in particular, which have critiqued the influence of our WESTERN CULTURE LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING SCHEME which is SIMPLE BINARY LOGIC based which sets the stage for A GOOD versus EVIL PURIFICATIONISM ORIENTATION in our social dynamic which remains PERVASIVE and is the source of FRAGMENTATION and OBSCURANTISM as Bohm  has pointed out.   This FRAGMENTATION derives from the WESTERN CULTURE use of a LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING APPROACH wherein BINARY LOGIC supports the SPLITTING OF REALITY into TWO SEPARATE and INDEPENDENT COMPONENTS; i.e. MATTER and SPACE.

The FALL-OUT of this WESTERM CULTURE approach to LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING is to REDUCE our NONBINARY BOTH/AND LOGIC of the INCLUDING MEDUM linguistic conceptualization of the all-including TRANSFORMING PLENUM (wave-field) reality wherein material forms are understood as CONDENSATIONS of the all-including ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM, … to BINARY EITHER/OR LOGIC of the EXCLUDED MEDIUM LOCAL, EXPLICIT MATERIAL OBJECTS that we PORTRAY as having THEIR OWN GRAMMAR-GIVEN POWERS OF LOCAL AUTHORING of actions and development within what is linguistically portrayed as an ABSOLUTE EMPTY AND INFINITE CONTAINING SPACE.

The EMPTY SPACE serves as an OPERATING ARENA in which MATERIAL OBJECTS can MOVE ABOUT and INTERACT and be “WHERE THE BUCK STOPS” in regard to the ORIGIN of LOCAL AUTHORING of ACTIONS and DEVELOPMENT.  Note that THERE HAS BEEN SOME SLEIGHT OF HAND HERE in that the foundational source of DYNAMICS which had been (and still is in indigenous aboriginal culture) the ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM aka the WAVE-FIELD, … HAS TO MOVE TO SOMEWHERE ELSE when we go with the common WESTERN CULTURE MODEL in which SPACE is an ABSOLUTE EMPTINESS OF INFINITE EXTENT.  The only available place to put the AUTHORING AGENCY becomes “WITHIN THE MATERIAL FORMS THEMSELVES”.

PROBLEM!  While the NONBINARY BOTH/AND/LOGIC OF THE INCLUDING MEDIUM of CONDENSATIONS in the ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM supports MOTIVE AGENCY THAT IS NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT, the BINARY EITHER/OR LOGIC OF THE EXCLUDED MEDIUM of MATERIAL OBJECTS IN EMPTY SPACE ONLY SUPPORTS MOTIVE AGENCY THAT IS LOCAL and EXPLICIT.   This makes it impossible to explain the INTERCONNECTIONS and INTERDEPENDENCIES of the PLANETINGS IN THE ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM as ‘shows up in’ Kepler’s Harmonies of the World, and it is understandable that Newton was NOT happy with the scheme he had to come up with to explain PLANETARY MOVEMENT on the basis of the mechanical movements of MATERIAL BODIES IN EMPTY SPACE.

The understanding of the NONBINARY BOTH/AND LOGIC of the INCLUDING MEDIUM relation supports the INTERCONNECTION and INTERDEPENDENCE of the CONDENSATIONS of the energy-charged PLENUM.

While my orientation is to WAVE-FIELD understanding rather than left and right brain models, they are saying the same thing; i.e. and I have mentioned this in the context of how we used to use aphorisms like; “To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose”   from the Bible and early writings, ….    and  “There is a tide in the affairs of men, Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune; Omitted, all the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and in miseries. … Shakespeaere’s ‘Julius Caesar’. 

It is EVIDENT that WESTERN CULTURE common language usage is PROGRESSIVELY DROPPING OUT the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING CONJUGATE.  This is what Vygotsky is accusing Piaget of doing as discussed earlier on and it is what the Neuroscientist is pointing out.

NOTA BENE:   The point that needs to be acknowledged here is that “OUR WESTERN CULTURE LIVING LANGUAGE” is commonly DROPPING OUT THE NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT conjugate aka the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING conjugate and GOING WITH ONLY the LOCAL and EXPLICIT conjugate aka the MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING conjugate.  This is a reduction of our language from LESS SIMPLE NONBINARY BOTH/AND LOGIC of the INCLUDING MEDIUM to SIMPLE BINARY EITHER/OR LOGIC of the EXCLUDED MEDIUM.   For example, instead of the less simple “THERE IS TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE” where we include the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING conjugate together with the MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING ‘TOWNING”, we SUBSTITUTE “THE TOWN IS GROWING” which is the MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING conjugate “on its own”.

 

A QUICK “REMINDER NOTE” ON THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING AWARE OF “AWARENESS LEVELS”; 

In the indigenous aboriginal culture, as in modern physics, there is the understanding that individual perspectives are innately ‘incomplete’, hence the indigenous aboriginal stories such as ‘Who shall speak for wolf?’  which remind the listener that we are living in a world of INTERCONNECTIONS and INTERDEPENDENCIES  where a LOCAL and EXPLICIT focus is INCOMPLETE (our knee-jerk action to set up camp may be in the breeding grounds of WOLF). so that we need to bring many different perspectives.  Nietzsche reminds us that individual perspective is fundamentally INCOMPLETE and that we need to bring MANY DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES INTO CONNECTIVE CONFLUENCE to harvest the coherencies therein [i.e. the ‘holographic’ view of the world we share inclusion in] to get closer to an understanding of the all-including, transforming relational continuum we share inclusion in.  Nietzsche has expressed this as follows;.

There is only a perspectival seeing, only a perspectival ‘knowing’; the more affects we are able to put into words about a thing, the more eyes, various eyes we are able to use for the same thing, the more complete will be our ‘concept’ of the thing, our ‘objectivity’.  — Nietzsche 

REMINDER of the IMPORTANCE of UNDERSTANDING THREE LEVELS OF AWARENESS and how this ties to our LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING PRACTICE.

TRANSFORMATIONAL:  (the AWARENESS of the continually unfolding relational development we share inclusion in), LIBERAL: (the AWARENESS of the need for cooperative management of relational inerconnections and interdependencies), and CONSERVATIVE: (the AWARENESS of the need to win the competition to make things happen the way one wants). 

NOTA BENE: TRANSFORMATIONAL AWARENESS is awareness of one’s inclusion in something NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT that is GREATER than oneself  (e.g. “there is TOWNING in the transforming landscape) which requires LESS SIMPLE LOGIC; i.e. the NONBINARY BOTH/AND LOGIC of the INCLUDING MEDIUM.  CONSERVATIVE and LIBERAL AWARENESS LEVELS invoke DETACHED VOYEUR VIEWING of that which is LOCAL and EXPLICIT which can be invoked using simple BINARY EITHER/OR LOGIC of the EXCLUDED MEDIUM.  

With our VOYEUR VIEWING, the FORMS that we capture are LOCAL and EXPLICIT such as ‘MAR a LAGO’ which we can say that we are EXPANDING and such a statement imposes on our linguistic conceptualization, the notion of LOCAL, EXPLICIT THING-IN-ITSELFness, i.e. the RESORT called MAR a LAGO which OVER-RIDES, within our linguistic conceptualization, the reality of ITS INCLUSION AS A FEATURE within the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE along with many other features all of which are INTERCONNECTED and INTERDEPENDENT inclusions within the NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT, TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM.

WE NORMALLY DO NOT DO ALL THIS ANALYSIS OF OUR LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING but we are doing it here and now because PEOPLE ARE GETTING CONFUSED over how our use of LANGUAGE is changing our way of THINKING; e.g. . Neuroscientist argues the left side of our brains have taken over our minds

The PUBLICATION for which this PRE-PUBLICATION DRAFT is prepratory to, is to EXPLAIN what is going on in this respect; e.g. WHY, as the Neuroscientifist  puts it, “THE LEFT SIDE OF OUR BRAINS HAVE TAKEN OVER OUR MINDS” which can be stated in more general terms such as “WHY THE LOCAL AND EXPLICIT is SUBSUMING THE NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT in our WESTERN CULTURE LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING APPROACH (e.g. why are we so focused on talking about the GROWTH of TOWNS (the local and explicit) while the TRANSFORMING OF THE LANDSCAPE is flappling about wildly like a loose sheet on a sail in a gale?)

The LEVELS of AWARENESS of Jantsch provides a valuable framework for being able to speak in informed terms as to what is going on, and WITH IT, we can state the issue captured in terms of Neuroscientist argues the left side of our brains have taken over our minds … in the alternative terms that that is WESTERN CULTURE is not ‘getting to’ LEVEL 1 AWARENESS since BINARY LOGIC cannot take us there, in which case, our DROPPING OUT the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING conjugate (which happens when we use BINARY LOGIC based language) IS BLOCKING OUR ACCESS TO LEVEL 1 AWARENESS.

 

IN SHORT, WHEN WE USE BINARY LOGIC, WE ARE UNABLE TO SUPPORT LEVEL 1 AWARENESS (OUR LANGUAGE BLOCKS OUR MINDS TO ITS ACCESS).

 

The story here is;  “THE ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM (the MOTHER) precipitates CONDENSATIONS (the CHILDREN)”.  GRAMMAR IS INVENTED that EQUIPS the CONDENSATIONS with THEIR OWN POWERS OF POWERS of LOCALLY AUTHORING GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION.   WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?  IT APPEARS THAT THE CREATIVE POWERS OF THE ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM WHICH IS NONLOCAL AND IMPLICIT, ARE BEING TRANSFERRED TO THE CONDENSATIONS which are LOCAL and EXPLICIT, and since the LOCAL and EXPLICIT CONDENSATIONS NOW HAVE CREATIVE POWERS, OUR LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZATION based ‘STORY’ CAN “LET GO OF” the NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT CREATIVE AUTHORING SOURCE, and simply DROP IT OUT OF OUR STORY.which is NOW GROUNDED IN THE LOCAL and EXPLICIT, hence the mention of the DEA ABSCONDITA (the GODDESS IN HIDING).

THIS MAJOR CHANGE IN OUR LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING OF REALITY IS HAPPENING THROUGH OUR WESTERN CULTURE EVOLVING LANGUAGE HABIT wherein IT USED TO BE that the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING (the NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT) was PRIMARY as in “TO EVERY THING THERE IS A SEASON AND TIME TO EVERY PURPOSE” which is reminding us that we are included in something greater than ourselves that opens up opportunities for us that OUTSIDE-INWARDLY ORCHESTRATE OUR INDIVIDUAL AND COLLECTIVE INSIDE-OUTWARDLY MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING LOCAL and EXPLICIT ACTIONS and DEVELOPMENT.

Our WAVE-FIELD WORLD has a TROUGH and PEAK STRUCTURE to it, and we know that the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING (the NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT) is the PRIMARY REALITY within which we have MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING ACTIONS and DEVELOPMENT (the LOCAL and EXPLICIT) which is APPEARANCE (Schroedinger’s Schaumkommen).  WESTERN CULTURE is making a major mistake here which Nietzsche refers to as a DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR where the NAMING assigns PRIORITY STATUS to the CONDENSATION while GRAMMAR transfers the POWER OF AUTHORING ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENT from the NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT to the LOCAL and EXPLICIT.

The tools run away with the workman, the human with the divine.  — Emerson  i.e. the LOCAL and EXPLICIT steals the PRIORITY from the NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT in our WESTERN CULTURE LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING SCHEME.

The WAY OUT of the DYSFUNCTION in our WESTERN CULTURE SOCIAL DYNAMIC is as Bohm has suggested, has also been suggested by Alan Watts which is to move to a VERB-BASED LANGUAGE which avoids DEPENDENCE ON BEING-BASED ABSTRACTION.  The use of NAMING instantiated MATERIAL BEING is, as Bohm has pointed out, a recipe for FRAGMENTATION and OBSCURANTISM which is NOT FOUND in indigenous aboriginal linguistic conceptualizing where verbs play the foundational role as Watts is pointing out.

 

Vyogotsky has pointed to the same need for a shift from the SCIENTIFIC to the SPONTANEOUS in our teaching and employing of linguistic conceptualization, which amounts to the re-installment of the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING conjugate which the SCIENTIFIC mode of linguistic conceptualizing DROPS OUT.  This is equivalent to Alan Watt’s suggestion to avoid all use of NOUNS.  For example, linguistic conceptualizations such as ‘the TOWN is GROWING’ are KILLERS that CRIPPLE the linguistic conceptualizing scheme, making it UNABLE to get to the level of expressing TRANSFORMING as the ‘there is TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE’ which gives us to understand that everything is in flux and that the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE INCLUDES THE TOWNING which is in accord with Modern physics and indigenous aboriginal languages.  It removes the MISTAKEN ILLUSION of MATERIAL THINGS-IN-THEMSELVES (THE TOWN) with notional GRAMMAR-GIVE POWERS OF LOCAL AUTHORING of ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENT as in ‘the TOWN is GROWING, DEVELOPING and PRODUCING goods’ which is a one-sided MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING PROPOSITION that is innately INCOMPLETE (Goedels’ Theorem of the incompleteness of all finite logical propositions).

 

Once we establish linguistic conceptualizing scheme that gives a foundational role to BEING as in ‘the TOWN is GROWING’ we are locking ourselves into the LIMITING conceptualizing capability of BINARY LOGIC which prevents us from getting to the level of LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING that is capable of TRANSFORMATION as in ‘there is TOWNING in the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE wherein everything is in flux and there is NO DEPENDENCE on “BEING” as when we insert the BEING based term of “THE TOWN” in which case we PERMANENTLY DISABLE our linguistic conceptualizing scheme from conveying an understanding wherein EVERYTHING IS IN FLUX and we must have that capability in our linguistic conceptualizing scheme to convey a world of flux aka a wave-field world.

 

These crippling limitations in our WESTERN CULTURE “BEING BASED LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALING SCHEME” are well known but as we have mentioned, the needed UPGRADE to a NON-BEING based, FLOW-BASED LINGIUSTIC CONCEPTUALIZING SCHEME is at this point in our WESTERN CULTURE , a challenge akin to changing the wheels on our car while speeding down the freeway in it.  Sure, we need to shift from ‘the TOWN is GROWING, DEVELOPING and PRODUCING goods’ which is all BINARY EITHER/OR LOGIC of the INCLUDING MEDIUM based, … to ‘there is TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE” (or TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM) which amounts to an UPGRADE of our linguistic conceptualizing scheme TO NONBINARY BOTH/AND LOGIC of the INCLUDING MEDIUM … FROM… BINARY EITHER/OR LOGIC of the EXCLUDED MEDIUM (absolute empty and infinite space medium).

 

Although Bohm has pointed out that we need the flow-based linguistic conceptualizing scheme to get to where the indigenous aboriginals are with their ability to use linguistic conceptualization that is capable of flow-based communications, our languages are no-where near that capability and what is needed is the AVOIDING OF ALL NOUNS (NAMING THAT IMPLIES MATERIAL BEING) and thus supports the ABSTRACTION of LOCAL AUTHORING which is the root source of FRAGMENTATION and OBSCURANTISM.
