EASTER REVIEW: OBSCURANTISM: the REDUCING of QUANTUM LOGIC to BINARY LOGIC

OBSCURANTISM: The practice of deliberately preventing the facts or full details of something from becoming known.

SYNOPSIS:  BINARY LOGIC is playing a CAT-and-MOUSE game with QUANTUM LOGIC in our language-stimulated understanding of reality.  If BINARY LOGIC gets into our mind FIRST, it LOCKS OUT QUANTUM LOGIC yet QUANTUM LOGIC is LESS SIMPLE and thus able to bring deeper understandings.  The words “on EARTH as it is in HEAVEN’ in the Christian Lord’s Prayer presupposes a BINARY LOGICAL structure to reality, and EASTER celebrates the existence of this BINARY LOGIC based PAIR which is the very definition of mathematical MUTUAL EXCLUSION.  In the indigenous aboriginal culture, Taoism/Buddhism and Advaita Vedanta, we have a QUANTUM LOGIC structure to reality wherein as suggested by the Yin/Yang symbolism where the Material aspect and the Spiritual aspect are NOT mutually exclusive but are related like MATTER and WAVE-FIELD where MATTER is CONDENSATION of the WAVE-FIELD.  This relational defines QUANTUM LOGIC, the BOTH/AND logic of the INCLUDING medium (i.e. the WAVE-FIELD includes the condensations that present as MATERIAL forms in the manner that the spirally WHORLS in river flow, while they seem to be ‘their own thing’ as if separate and independent of the flow, as in fact condensations of the flow as defines the QUANTUM LOGIC relation.

The LANGUAGE ARCHITECTURES of “EAST” and ‘WEST’ differ in that the former employs a QUANTUM LOGIC foundation while the latter employs a BINARY LOGIC foundation.  It is IMPORTANT to note that the BINARY LOGIC language architecture is SIMPLER than the QUANTUM LOGIC language architecture in the respect that BINARY LOGIC portrays FIGURE and GROUND as TWO separate ONTOLOGICAL entities, QUANTUM LOGIC portrays FIGURE and GROUND as ONE FLUID DYNAMIC.  In the EAST’s QUANTUM LOGIC structure we have BOTH female AND male aspects within a conjugate unity, so that QUANTUM LOGIC language architecture can speak of “TOWNING-IN-THE-TRANSFORMING-LANDSCAPE” which is an ANDROGYNOUS (female and male as ONE) conjugate dynamic.  In the WEST’S BINARY LOGIC structure, we have only to concern ourselves with MALE ASSERTIVE aspect; i.e. with THE TOWN  and its GRAMMAR given MALE ASSERTIVE powers of GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION.

The difference wherein the EAST’s QUANTUM LOGIC is LESS SIMPLE than the WEST’s BINARY LOGIC shows up in our LANGUAGE based REALITY REPRESENTATIONS.  For example, the WEST’s BINARY LOGIC based language presumes that FIGURE and GROUND are TWO SEPARATE AND INDEPENDENT ENTITIES, (e.g. where the TOWN) is INDEPENDENT of the landscape it is included within) which we ‘arrange’ by IMAGINING via our LANGUAGE CONSTRUCTS that the TOWN sits within an ABSTRACT EMPTY SPACE OF INFINITE EXTENT.  The EAST’s QUANTUM LOGIC based language, on the other hand, presumes that FIGURE and GROUND are ONE where the language capture of this is in terms equivalent to THERE IS TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE, keeping TOWNING and TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE together as ONE.  The QUANTUM LOGIC relation between the TOWNING and TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE is thus one of MUTUAL INCLUSION based on BALANCE, the dynamic form of which is RESONANCE as reaffirms the WAVE-FIELD nature of reality. Thus the EAST and WEST language-based ‘realities’ differ on the basis of their respective QUANTUM LOGIC and BINARY LOGIC foundations, the former being LESS SIMPLE than the latter in the sense that the relation between the WAVE-FIELD and its CONDENSATIONS is LESS SIMPLE than the relation between EMPTY SPACE and MATERIAL EXISTENCE.

While EASTERN CULTURE language architectures preserve the LESS SIMPLE QUANTUM LOGIC relation, WESTERN CULTURE language architectures employ the SIMPLER BINARY LOGIC relation.  The shift from QUANTUM LOGIC to BINARY LOGIC constitutes “OBSCURANTISM”

OBSCURANTISM is achieved when  the understanding conveyed is reduced from;

(A)  the less simple FEMALE-MALE CONJUGATE architectural foundation to;

(B) the simple MALE-ASSERTIVE architectural foundation.

EXAMPLE: OBSCURANTISM is achieved by the reduction from;

(A) There is TOWNING in the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE to,

(B) The TOWN that is GROWING, DEVELOPING, PRODUCING within a notional ABSOLUTE, EMPTY, INFINITE SPACE.

NOTE: (B) constitutes a SIMPLIFYING MALE-ASSERTIVE SUBSTITUTE for the FEMALE-MALE CONJUGATE WAVE-FIELD.  This common WESTERN CULTURE SIMPLIFIED LANGUAGE  based representation brings out a loss of expressive capability that suggests the term, DEA ABSCONDITA.  This term points to the fact that the FEMALE CONJUGATE which is the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE (nonlocal, implicit relational continuum aka ‘wave-field’) and thus THE WHOLE ALL-INCLUDING FIELD, is DROPPED from the representation leaving only the ORPHANED MALE-ASSERTING AGENT TO ‘POSE’ as the LOCAL AUTHOR of the manifest actions and developments.   The DROPPING OUT of the PRIMARY AUTHORING AGENCY, the FEMALE CONJUGATE which, in the example, is the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE, the ALL-INCLUDING WAVE-FIELD, WHICH “INCLUDES” the “TOWNING”, explains the choice of “DEA ABSCONDITA”.  NOTIONALLY ENDOWING THE TOWN “ON ITS OWN” with POWERS of LOCAL AUTHORING of ACTIONS INCLUDING GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION of goods and services, stems from MALE EGO and is achieved through the LOCAL AUTHOR abstraction created with the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR as Nietzsche points out.

There seems to be a fortuitous (?) synchronicity to my being at the point of summarizing a major problem in our LANGUAGE, as Bohm and Nietzsche have identified, the problem of FRAGMENTATION and the associated confusion of OBSCURANTISM which is where we reduce the LESS SIMPLE QUANTUM LOGIC to SIMPLE BINARY LOGIC.  The OBSCURANTISM comes into play as we employ “BINARY LOGIC” in our language based representations where the phenomena of NATURE demands a QUANTUM LOGIC representation.  For example, where the indigenous aboriginal languages say ‘THERE IS TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE’, our Common Average European language architectures SIMPLIFY this by DIFFERENTIATING OUT ‘the TOWNING’, making it over into a LOCAL, EXPLICIT THING-IN-ITSELF by the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR, as Nietzsche refers to it.  What this does is to SIDESTEP the innate interdependent inclusion of the TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE, by abstractly using NAMING to impute LOCAL BEING and conflating this FIRST ERROR with the SECOND ERROR of GRAMMAR which we use to impute LOCAL AUTHORING POWER to the NAMING-instantiated LOCAL BEING.

THIS DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR IS THE BIRTH OF BINARY LOGIC IN WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE ARCHITECTURE.

THERE IS NONE OF THIS BINARY LOGIC SPLITTING APART OF FIGURE AND GROUND IN OUR SENSE-EXPERIENCE AND WE WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS NOW KNOW WHY FROM MODERN PHYSICS WHICH HAS SIMPLY REMINDED US OF THE QUANTUM LOGIC STRUCTURE OF REALITY WHEREIN THE MATERIAL FORMS ARE CONDENSATIONS OF THE ALL-INCLUDING (electromagnetic) WAVE-FIELD. WHCH ANSWERS THE AGE-OLD QUESTION OF ‘THE TWO AND THE ONE’ (see anthropologist Mircea Eliade’s ‘Mephistopheles et l’Androgyne’, Engish title ‘the TWO and the ONE’).  That is, there has been division in understanding over whether MATERIAL FORMS MOVE THROUGH THE ‘ETHER’ or whether the ETHER has LUMPS IN IT (now we know that SPACE is the WAVE-FIELD while MATERIAL FORMS are CONDENSATIONS OF THE WAVE-FIELD, a reality that means that QUANTUM LOGIC is the basic LOGIC OF THE WORLD WE LIVE IN.

QUANTUM LOGIC is the BOTH/AND logic of the INCLUDING MEDIUM which is just restating the fact that MATTER is a CONDENSATION of the ALL-PERVADING ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD.  That is, ‘matter’ is a concentration of field strength within the field which makes that intense lump of field visible and tangible.  And because the WAVE-FIELD is in flux the patterns where the intensity is higher (which we recognize as material objects) can change and move without there ever being any persisting ‘material body’ involved.  This is why the world has been described by some as a holographic universe because a hologram has this same property where we can physically distinguish between content and container but rather than this being due to MATTER and EMPTY SPACE, it is due to CONDENSATIONS OF FIELD WITHIN FIELD.

RIGHT HERE WE HAVE THE ISSUE OF HOW QUANTUM LOGIC where FIGURE and GROUND (matter and space) ARE ONE rather than as BINARY LOGIC would have it, FIGURE and GROUND (matter and space) are TWO, an issue which divides the indigenous aboriginal culture from the “WESTERN EUROPEAN” cultures and which is captured in the respective language architectures.

EASTER seems an apt time to REFLECT on this question, the different understanding for which (i.e. QUANTUM LOGIC versus BINARY LOGIC) has contributed a divisions in religious groupings.  For example the Gnostics were in a minority that opted for QUANTUM LOGIC wherein FIELD (HEAVEN, aka the all-including WAVE-FIELD) and the world of MATERIAL forms are ONE, and what is going on here is that the MATERIAL forms are CONDENSATIONS of the all-including WAVE-FIELD.  This QUANTUM LOGIC topology is how Gnostics understand the relationship between ‘HEAVEN and EARTH’

“Again when Jesus saw infants being nursed by their mothers he said, “These infants being suckled are like those entering the Kingdom.” And the disciples asked, “Shall we, then, as little children, enter the Kingdom?” He answered them, “When you make two one, and when you make the inside the outside and the outside the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make the male and female one and the same…then you will enter (the Kingdom).” — The Gnostic gospel of Thomas.

Jesus said, “What you look forward to has already come, but you do not recognize it…the Kingdom of the Father is spread out on the earth, but men do not see it.”  The Gospel of Thomas

This description of HEAVEN and EARTH has a QUANTUM LOGIC structure as does the relation between the ALL-INCLUDING WAVE-FIELD and material forms which are CONDENSATIONS of the all-including WAVE-FIELD.

This QUANTUM LOGIC understanding of reality is also found in the Celtic (and other) worldviews;

In Celtic mythology, the Otherworld is the realm of the deities and possibly also the dead. In Gaelic and Brittonic myth it is usually described as a supernatural realm of everlasting youth, beauty, health, abundance and joy.[1] The Otherworld is similar to a parallel universe, usually elusive, but various mythical heroes visit it either through chance or after being invited by one of its residents. They often reach it by entering ancient burial mounds or caves, or by going under water or across the western sea.[1] Sometimes, the Otherworld is said to exist alongside our own located beyond the edge of the earth and intrudes into our world; signalled by phenomena such as magic mist, sudden changes in weather, or the appearance of divine beings or unusual animals.[2][3] An otherworldly woman may invite the hero into the Otherworld by offering an apple or a silver apple branch, or a ball of thread to follow as it unwinds

LANGUAGE ARCHITECTURES CAN EITHER CAPTURE QUANTUM LOGIC STRUCTURE OF REALITY OR GO WITH THE SIMPLER BINARY LOGIC STRUCTURE.

Indigenous aboriginal language architectures and Taoist/Buddhist and Advaita Vedanta USE OF LANGUAGE supports the “LESS SIMPLE” QUANTUM LOGIC foundation where the FIGURE and GROUND relation or MATTER and SPACE is understood in terms of QUANTUM LOGIC, the BOTH/AND logic of the INCLUDING medium, where SPACE-aka-WAVE-FIELD is understood as the PRIMARY REALITY while material forms are CONDENSATIONS of the WAVE-FIELD which, while they APPEAR TO BE “ON THEIR OWN” are in reality INCLUDED in the all-including WAVE-FIELD.  This suggests the all-including “web-of-life” wherein “everything is related” (‘mitakuye oyasin’).

This QUANTUM LOGIC relation wherein MATERIAL FORMS are CONDENSATIONS of the ALL-INCLUDING WAVE-FIELD is our current MODERN PHYSICS understanding of the world of our SENSE-EXPERIENCE of inclusion therein.

PROBLEM: PROBLEM: PROBLEM!  We WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS have architected language in such a manner that it gives a FOUNDATIONAL ROLE TO BINARY LOGIC based SPLITTING APART of MATTER and SPACE, imputing to SPACE the abstract characteristics of ABSOLUTE EMPTINESS OF INFINITE EXTENT.

If this SOUNDS CRAZY to us if we poinder it, SO IT SHOULD.  IT IS ABSTRACTION THAT HAS NO BASIS IN the real world of our sense experience; i.e. IT IS PURE INTELLECTUAL ABSTRACTION that we have invented to FILL A GAP in our simple model-making, and that GAP comes into being in our DESIGNING OF LANGUAGE where we want a language that will REDUCE the NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT nature of the world we are included in, to LOCAL and EXPLICIT ‘NAMEABLE’ FRAGMENTS that we can more readily coordinate our FOCUS ON, and capture with a common NAME-LABELLED-FORM collection that as to produced intelligible accounts of our observations and experiences in a shareable language based schema.

Of course, the FRAGMENTING into LOCAL EVENTS is SUPERFICIAL and as the Zen story of the old man and the horses reminds us, we never know whether a LOCAL EXPLICIT EVENT is GOOD OR BAD because in the ongoing transforming relational continuum, out of BAD things can come GOOD things and out of GOOD things can come Bad things which is pointing out that our language based capture of what is going on in the world-continuum can only be a local limited sampling, the interpretation of which is subject to major revision as the unfolding continuum ‘continues to unfold’ giving us access to language based representation opportunities.

WHAT DOES THIS TELL US?

It is a REMINDER that our use of LANGUAGE to extract LOCAL, EXPLICIT ‘BITS OF REALITY’ that we call ‘EVENTS’ IS NOT REALLY CAPABLE OF GIVING UP STAND-ALONE MEANING.  As in Goedel’s Theorem, all finite systems of logical propositions are innately incomplete, as the Zen story of the old man and the horses is also telling us.   This ‘incompleteness’ of finite observations which are limited not only by scope and duration but also by individual perspectives, is in our WESTERN CULTURE “steamrollered over” as implied by aphorisms such as “La raison du plus fort est toujours la meilleure” (Lafontaine) — “The reasoning of the most powerful is always the best”.   The ‘learning circle of the indigenous aboriginal culture is a wiser way of addressing the limitations of visual perspectives.  Where violence emerges within the social collective, it is not the ‘lightning rod’ that does the zapping that is taken to be the AUTHOR of such violence. The full social collective is understood as the breeder of relational tensions that FLARE UP through some lightning rod person WHO IS NOT MISIDENTIFIED AS ‘AUTHOR’; i.e. in the indigenous aboriginal culture the SOCIAL COLLECTIVE ASSUMES THAT RELATIONAL DISSONANCE IN THE RELATIONAL MATRIX FINDS EXIT THROUGH AN INDIVIDUAL who becomes a CONDUIT for the release of tensions that brew up and accumulate within the web of relations constituting ‘community’.

This WEB OF RELATIONS is PRIMARY as it is the ALL-INCLUDING ‘WAVE-FIELD”, while the individual STRANDS IN THE WEB are CONDENSATIONS of the WAVE-FIELD, and this requires QUANTUM LOGIC language based encoding, and depending on the architecture of the language, this may be tricky because the PHONETIC LANGUAGES have a built in BIAS for BINARY LOGIC constructions which can lead to confusion; i.e. even if we say’ THERE IS TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE’, someone may pick up on that and simplify it, saying ‘Oh yes, what he is saying is that there is now a TOWN in the valley and the TOWN is GROWING, DEVELOPING an PRODUCING products and services.

TOWNS ARE NOT AUTHORS OF ANYTHING, THEY ARE JUST A LABEL OF CONVENIENCE like the word CLUSTER which is a SIGN to SIGNIFY the gathering-scattering dynamic of ants, and by the time we start making BINARY LOGIC based constructs such as ‘the CLUSTER is GROWING LARGER’, we are CREATING AN ABSTRACT BINARY LOGIC BASED SUBSTITUTE REALITY that is using the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR to CHOP UP THE CONTINUUM and RE-START IT ON THE BASIS OF LOCAL AUTHORS OF ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENTS.  So instead of the QUANTUM LOGIC reality of TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE we create a SUBSTITUTE REALITY feature a TOWN that is GROWING, DEVELOPING and PRODUCING, which we have ABSTRACTLY PLUNKED DOWN IN AN ABSOLUTE EMPTY AND INFINITE PSEUDO-CONTAINING SPACE.

Let’s face it, we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS are now so accustomed to these LANGUAGE HI-JINX that WE RUN WITH IT, implicitly saying I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN, but the ABSTRACT CONCEPTUALIZING IN THE PSYCHE can TAKE OVER and then we start INTERPRETING LANGUAGE LITERALLY and thinking of A TOWN GROWING as if IN ITS OWN RIGHT AS IF IT WERE SITUATED WITHIN AN ABSOLUTE EMPTY SPACE OF INFINITE EXTENT SO THAT WE COULD SPEAK OF ‘IT’ AS IF IT HAD ‘ITS OWN AUTHORING POWER’ WITHOUT ANY CONJUGATE RELATION WITH THE LANDSCAPE IT IS INCLUDED IN.   OUR WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE “SLITS OUT” AN IMAGINARY MALE-ASSERTIVE CONJUGATE AND MOBILIZES IT WITH A VERB WITHIN THE ‘DOUBLE ERROR OF NAMING AND GRAMMAR’ CONSTRUCT.

Now we can talk about avalanches that crash down mountainsides without worrying about the FEMALE CONJUGATE of the HOLE ON THE SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN and therefore NOT WORRYING ABOUT THE REALTIY OF THE TRANSFORMING OF THE LANDSCAPE, the representation of which requires the full FEMALE-MALE CONJUGATE RELATION.

This CONFUSING ‘DROPOUT’ OF THE FEMALE CONJUGATE AND THUS THE REDUCTION OF THE WAVE-FIELD ‘CONIUNCTIO OPPOSITORUM’ TO THE ‘MALE-ASSERTIVE ONLY’ CAN BE TRACED BACK TO THE COMING OF THE ALPHABETIC BASED LANGUAGE ARCHITECTURE which involves a TIME-SEQUENTIAL REPRESENTATION rather than an ALL-AT-ONCE REPRESENTATION.   The LOCAL, EXPLICIT  SEQUENTIAL BINARY FIGURE and GROUND are TWO version is ‘THE TOWN IS GROWING’ while the NONLOCAL, IMPLICIT SPONTANEOUS FIGURE and GROUND are ONE version is ‘THERE IS TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE’. But the ALPHABETIC LANGUAGE ARCHITECTURE induces the user to keep falling back on the LITERAL, LOCAL and EXPLICIT INTERPETATION, the BINARY LOGIC interpretation rather than the QUANTUM LOGIC interpretation;

Of the logos [aka the Tao, the Wave-field], which is as I describe it, people always prove to be uncomprehending both before they have heard it and once they have heard it. For, although all things happen according to the logos, people are like those of no experience, even when they do experience such words and deeds as I explain when I distinguish each thing according to its phusis (nature / constitution) and declare how it is; but others are as ignorant of what they do when awake as they are forgetful of what they do when asleep.

Those who hear and do not understand are like the deaf. Of them the proverb says: “Present, they are absent.”

What Heraclitus is referring to is the common REDUCTION of QUANTUM LOGIC messaging to BINARY LOGIC messages.  If we use the indigenous aboriginal language and share the understanding that THERE IS TOWNING IN THE TRANFORMING LANDSCAPE, we are using QUANTUM LOGIC presentation wherein the TOWNING is INCLUDED IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE as in a QUANTUM LOGIC FIGURE and GROUND as ONE relation, but where this is reduced to THE TOWN IS GROWING, DEVELOPING, PRODUCING with the DOUBLE ERROR OF NAMING and GRAMMAR based imputing of LOCAL AUTHORING, then we have just FRAGMENTED OUT ‘the TOWN’ and made it out to be a notional LOCAL THING-IN-ITSELF with its own GRAMMAR-GIVEN POWERS OF AUTHORING ACTIOSN and DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION.

NO! NO! NO! says Heraclitus.  What I GAVE YOU WAS QUANTUM LOGIC based and now you are giving me back a BINARY LOGIC based SIMPLIFICATION.

The FACT IS, we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS are using the BINARY LOGIC based capability of our LANGUAGE, to construct SIMPLIFIED BINARY LOGIC based SUBSTITUTE REALITIES, and you can easily ‘check this out’ as I have (and Bohm and Nietzsche).  The check out can be done by using QUANTUM LOGIC in sharing a real account of some unfolding with others and then listening to how they pass along their version of what you have given them.  For example, if I share a story with others regarding the TRANSFORMATION of the VALLEY I GREW UP IN where part of that experience was the relations with bears, deer, eagles and wildlife that was an inherent part of the all-including landscape in which we ourselves are included, … there is a tendency to reorient the RE-TELLING from an account of the TRANSFORMING OF THE LANDSCAPE to an account orienting to the GROWTH OF THE TOWN.  The bears and the deer etc. if they are listening in, may find that with each re-telling of the story, they are being WRITTEN OUT OF THE STORY because they belong to the TRANSFORMING OF THE VALLEY, they do NOT belong to the GROWTH OF THE TOWN.  BINARY LOGIC applies here in that we can define LIMITS to the TOWN and as we move through the LANDSCAPE we can determine EITHER THIS IS THE TOWN OR THIS IS NOT THE TOWN, while such a distinction is not found in our QUANTUM LOGIC understanding in terms of TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE therein there is JUST ONE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE within which there are relational features such as TOWNINGS that are in a QUANTUM LOGIC relation wherein FIGURE and GROUND are only ONE.

ONLY IN OUR LANGUAGE BASED ABSTRACT INTELLECTUAL CONCEPTUALIZATIONS CAN BINARY LOGIC SPLIT THE TOWN OUT FROM THE LANDSCAPE.  In other words, QUANTUM LOGIC is not just INTELLECTUAL ABSTRACTION, but is GROUNDED IN OUR SENSE-EXPERIENCE OF ‘BALANCE’. THERE IS A DYNAMIC BALANCE IN THE CLUSTERING OF ANTS between the SCATTERING AND GATHERING so that his RESONANCE FEATURE of CLUSTERING is not MISTAKEN for a LOCAL THING-IN-ITSELF (the notional ‘CLUSTER’) notionally with ITS OWN POWERS OF AUTHORING MOVEMENT and GROWTH.  As QUANTUM LOGIC would have it, the CLUSTERING is a CONDENSATION of the relational dynamics which is included within those relational dynamics.  As Nietzsche has pointed out; in situations like this, it is the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR that imposes a BINARY LOGIC BREAK-OUT the RE-RENDERS the FIGURE as something INDEPENDENT OF THE GROUND and notionally endowed with ITS OWN LOCAL POWERS OF AUTHORING ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENT.  Thus this BINARY LOGIC abstraction allows a SIMPLER MEANS for REPRESENTATION in that it avoids the ambiguous unity of the TOWNING and the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE, by recasting what is going on using the BINARY LOGIC capability of language to reduce the NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT to the LOCAL and EXPLICIT via the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR.

In this EASTER REVIEW: OBSCURANTISM: the REDUCING of QUANTUM LOGIC to BINARY LOGIC

we can see how the EXPOSURE to OBSCURANTISM arises from the voluntary or involuntary habit of REDUCING QUANTUM LOGIC understanding, as is basic to our sense-experience perception of reality, to BINARY LOGIC LANGUAGE-based INTELLECTUAL-CONCEPTUAL REPRESENTATION.

WHEN WE SAY ‘the TOWN IS GROWING’, we imply a BINARY LOGIC based SPLITTING OUT of ‘the TOWN’ which is necessarily supported by the IMPUTING OF AN ABSOLUTE EMPTY AND INFINITE CONTAINING SPACE,  the sort of CONTAINER for notionally HOLDING THE TOWN IN that DOES NOT INTERFERE with language based representation that imputes to ‘the TOWN’ … “IT’S OWN NOTIONAL INDEPENDENT BEING” conflated with “ITS OWN NOTIONAL POWERS OF AUTHORING GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION of people and products and services etc.

TOTO , we are no longer in Kansas.  This is a NEW BINARY LOGIC BASED WORLD that employs DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR based ABSTRACTIONS, and it serves the purpose of ESTABLISHING A COMMON GROUND for DISCURSIVE SHARING OF REPRESENTATIONS of SENSE-OBSERVATIONS AND EXPERIENCES.

Heraclitus was using language’s ability for QUANTUM LOGIC transmission.  As Charles Kahn points out in ‘The Art and Thought of Heraclitus’, Heraclitus uses the combination of intentional redundancy (“linguistic density”) and inter-relations (“linguistic resonance”).

linguistic density: a multiplicity of ideas are expressed in a single, ambiguous word or phrase;

linguistic resonance: a single verbal theme or image is echoed from one text to another, so that their meaning is enriched when they are understood together

This approach by Heraclitus is paralleled by the BOOTSTRAPPING approach in Modern physics, describe by Geoffrey Chew;

Geoffrey Chew]: “when you formulate a question, you have to have some basic concepts that you are accepting in order to formulate the question. But in the bootstrap approach, where the whole system represents a network of relationships without any firm foundation, the description of our subject can be begun at a great variety of different places. There isn’t any clear starting point. And the way our theory has developed in the last few years, we quite typically don’t know what questions to ask. We use consistency as the guide, and each increase in the consistency suggests something that is incomplete, but it rarely takes the form of a well-defined question. We are going beyond the whole question­and­answer framework.”

This resonates with the approach pointed out by Wittgenstein which aims to infer the SYNOPTIC VIEW  through REPEATED SURVEYING OF THE CONNECTIONS.  In other words, we would NOT want to represent a TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM by way of a BOTTOM UP BUILD USING LOCAL AND EXPLICIT COMPONENTS.  Instead, as was also Wittgenstein’s approach, by BOOTSTRAPPING an IMPRESSION of this fluid WAVE-FIELD reality, using NAMING based LOCAL OBJECTS only for constructing a WEB of RELATIONS that, as in the indigenous aboriginal language architecture where for example, representations such as ‘THERE IS TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE’ preserves the overall FLUID nature of sense-experience reality.  This is QUANTUM LOGIC REPRESENTATION as with the CONDENSATION in the WAVE-FIELD.  In this case the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE is the WAVE-FIELD and the TOWNING is a CONDENSATION within the WAVE-FIELD (LANDSCAPE) such that FIGURE-and-GROUND-are-ONE and NOT TWO as in BINARY LOGIC.

THE POINT WHICH HERACLITUS MAKES IS THAT ALTHOUGH HE TAUGHT PEOPLE HOW TO INTERPRET HIS TEACHINGS IN QUANTUM LOGIC TERMS, THE TENDENCY OF THE STUDENTS WAS TO FALL BACK INTO THE SIMPLER BINARY LOGIC INTERPRETATION AND THE FURTHER PASSING ON AND SHARING OF THE SIMPLIFIED BINARY LOGIC REDUCTION WAS ‘OBSCURANTISM’ WHICH IS WHAT HERACLITUS WAS SO PEEVED ABOUT.

Personally, OBSCURANTISM is what I REUN INTO ALL THE TIME in trying to share QUANTUM LOGIC representations, so I understand why Heraclitus was so frustrated and it was because an ABLPHABET based language architecture leads naturally to BINARY LOGIC based constructions.  Fortunately for the indigenous aboriginal people, their language came from an oral tradition which was not dependent on putting together SYMBOL based constructions, thus the KILLER FLAW found in our Common Average European language architecture, of BOTTOM UP LOCAL AND EXPLICIT constructions which comes from the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR, LOCAL AUTHORING FRAGMENTATION SCHEME did not come into play at al, in the indigenous aboriginal language mode of communicating.  In other words, ‘TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE has this QUANTUM LOGIC character which was what Heraclitus was using in his philosophical writings, which allows the representation to FLOW as with the understanding of reality as ‘continual becoming’ i.e. as inclusion within the transforming relational continuum aka the WAVE-FIELD aka the Tao;

IT IS VERY CLEAR THEN, WHAT NIETZSCHE’S FAVOURITE PHILOSOPHER, HERACLITUS, WAS DOING, HERACLITUS WAS PUTTING THE KIBOSH ON LANGUAGE BASED REPRESENTATIONS THAT EMPLOYED A HARD DEPENDENCY ON LOCAL and EXPLICIT THINGS AS IN BINARY LOGIC CONSTRUCTS implying “EITHER” there is something here “OR” there is nothing here.   Heraclitus ‘flux’ view where perpetual becoming (transformation) prevailed previewed the arrival of WAVE-FIELD understanding where matter is a condensation of field.

WHAT IS THE CRITICAL UNDERSTANDING HERE?

THE KEY POINT HERE IS THE FLIP-FLOP THAT WE CAN MAKE BETWEEN THE LESS SIMPLE QUANTUM LOGIC TO THE MORE SIMPLE BINARY LOGIC AND HOW THIS LEADS TO OBSCURANTISM SINCE BINARY LOGIC BASED REPRESENTATIONS “DROP OUT” UNDERSTANDING THAT COMES WITH QUANTUM LOGIC REPRESENTATIONS, AND IN A PARTICULAR WAY; I.E. QUANTUM LOGIC PRESERVES THE FULLBLOWN CONJUGATE NATURE OF WAVE-FIELD REALITY WHILE BINARY LOGIC KEEPS ONLY THE MALE ASSERTIVE CONJUGATE AND ‘DROPS OUT’ THE FEMALE CONJUGATE.  EXAMPLE:

QUANTUM LOGIC: THERE IS TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE.  Here the ‘TOWNING’ and the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE are ONE THING with a DUAL ASPECT; i.e. the TOWNING is a RESONANCE FEATURE within the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE as with a WHORL in the FLOW.

BINARY LOGIC: The TOWN is GROWING, DEVELOPING, PRODUCING.  Here, the ‘TOWN’ and the CONTAINING SPACE which has now GONE BLANK are no longer inclusions in a larger animation, but the TOWN has been given its own GRAMMAR based POWERS OF AUTHORING actions and developments as if within an ABSOLUTE EMPTY SPACE OF INFINITE EXTENT.

The CRITICAL UNDERSTANDING is that LANGUAGE is the source of OBSCURANTISM whereby we DUMB DOWN the very nature of DYNAMICS by REMOVING the FEMALE WAVEFIELD CONJUGATE and constructing representations of what is now a SUBSTITUTE REALITY which is MALE ASSERTIVE ONLY, and which is now representing, as mentioned, a SUBSTITUTE REALITY featuring NAMING instantiated THINGS-IN-THEMSELVES which we equip with GRAMMAR based actions and developments that move about and interact within an ABSOLUTE ENPTY SPACE OF INFINITE EXTENT.

The LOSS here is the FEMALE ACCOMODATING which gives rise the THIN SKULL rule in WESTERN JUSTICE and the incessant search for inside-outward assertive authoring agency to explain phenomena which can only be sensibly understood in CONJUGATE phenomenal terms wherein the FEMALE inductive is included.

This LOSS IS THE BASIS OF OBSCURANTISM which continually SUBSTITUTES a simplified BINARY LOGIC INTERPRETATION of natural phenomena where less simple QUANTUM LOGIC understandings make a major difference to our understanding.   To say, and to understand that ‘the TOWN GROWS, DEVELOPS, PRODUCES, … is BINARY LOGIC based reduction to a SIMPLE WHAT IS purportedly coming from the LOCAL, EXPLICIT MALE THING-IN-ITSELF by way of its DOUBLE ERROR OF NAMING AND GRAMMAR based AUTHOING POWERS.  The natural WAVE-FIELD INFLUENCE which comes BOT only in the form of the MALE ASSERTIVE but also in in the form of the FEMALE CONJUGATE ACCOMMODATING is BUTCHERED by our BINARY LOGIC language formulations where we SPLIT OUT the FEMALE ACCOMMODATIVE and go solely with the MALE ASSERTIVE, hence ‘the TOWN is GROWING’ but there is no longer mention of the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE in which TOWNING was a secondary dynamic in the manner of a CONDENSATION of the WAVE-FIELD.

So, the BINARY LOGIC CONSTRUCT; ‘THE TOWN IS GROWING” is OBSCURANTISM that blinds us to the overall reality of the all-including transforming relational continuum aka the WAVE-FIELD aka the Tao.

The struggle with the ambiguity between Jesus and GOD is the struggle between QUANTUM LOGIC and BINARY LOGIC.

Does Jesus SPIRIT have to make a return trip to the land of spirits aka HEAVEN as would be the BINARY LOGIC based view of HEAVEN and EARTH?

Or, should our understanding go with the Gnostic text that paraphrases the QUANTUM LOGIC wherein material things are CONDENSATIONS OF THE WAVE-FIELD?

While the indigenous aboriginals and Taoist/Buddhist and Advaita Vedanta interpretations go with QUANTUM LOGIC wherein the ALL-INCLUDED WAVE-FIELD and the CONDENSATIONS therein are ONE,… Newtonian science and analytic thinking in general which predominates in our WESTERN CULTURE holds to the BINARY LOGIC based understanding of reality wherein the containing OPEN SPACE CONTAINER and the MATERIAL CONTENTS are TWO.  Our WESTERN CULTURE language architecture with its DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR constructs perpetuates the BINARY LOGIC structure of reality with its INDEPENDENT MATERIAL ENTITIES that are seen as moving about freely within an EMPTY ABSOLUTE SPACE OF INFINITE EXTENTS, the geometric abstraction known as EUCLIDEAN SPACE.

RESUMPTION OF ESSAY;

Western Culture, is a blurry designator, but for the purposes this short discussion, I would describe WESTERN CULTURE as the BINARY LOGIC driven people which is SOCIALLY DOMINATING group of people (often termed ‘successful’ or ‘intelligent’) but DOMINANCE can be (and often is in WESTERN CULTURE) of the type manifested by Vladimir Putin. A burst of SUCCESS that sees a certain ‘strain’ rise up stronger and taller than the rest is not necessarily ‘good news’.  In the plant world, some plants get on a diet that sees them rise up higher and stronger than the rest as is the case with “weeds” give the product ROUND UP.  The product design understands that if a particular plant’s growth is chemically accelerated, then all of those long evolved relational give-and-take relations with the general diversity will no longer be ‘in synch’ and that plant will die because its relational transactions cannot be sustained due it its growth, thanks to ROUND-UP, proceeding at a rate many times faster than its natural ecosystem partners can support so that it dies as a result of ‘forgetting to stay in synch with its friends and supporters.  I am not comparing ROUND-UP with RUSSIA but there may be an exposure there of that type.

OK, I am writing about OBSCURANTISM in connection with the philosophies of DAVID BOHM and FRIEDRICH NIETZSCHE and this is also about THINGS GETTING OUT OF WHACK WITH ONE ANOTHER by way of using BINARY LOGIC to become DOMINANT and I don’t want to push too hard on the ROUND-UP effect, to point out that BINARY LOGIC can lead to dominance that is UNSTABLE due to OBSCURANTISM.  This is not that difficult to understand but it is ELUSIVE because of the way we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS are in the habit of thinking.

The basics of OBSCURANTISM as I am using it, are something I run into all the time.  I will explain something using QUANTUM LOGIC, the BOTH/AND logic of the INCLUDING medium and someone in the same discussion will PLUG IN BINARY LOGIC (the EITHER/OR logic of the EXCLUDED medium) where I was using QUANTUM LOGIC.  Whether or not this is intentional, it can be confusing because that person totally MISREPRESENTS my proposition.  This can be tricky because of our WESTERN CULTURE penchant for STICKING BINARY LOGIC IN EVERYWHERE INTO DISCUSSIONS.   Here’s an example;

FIRST PERSON:  We can’t simply talk about THE GROWTH OF THE TOWN as if we lived in a flat space of infinite extent because we live in a spherical space wherein THERE IS A SHRINKAGE OF THE WILDERNESS that is CONJUGATE with the GROWTH OF THE TOWN.  In other words, we live in a WAVE-FIELD world wherein there are NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT effects in conjugate relation with LOCAL and EXPLICIT, so the reality is that there is NO SUCH THING AS THE GROWTH of the TOWN, because such GROWTH is at the same time SHRINKAGE of the WILDERNESS.

SECOND PERSON: Our plan involves significant GROWTH in the construction of new housing.  This project will be partially funded by the LOGGING of the heavily forested area being set aside for the new housing development.

The FIRST PERSON is using QUANTUM LOGIC, the BOTH/AND logic of the INCLUDING MEDIUM which acknowledges that when we make a local change it comes with a nonlocal conjugate and points out that GROWTH doesn’t make sense because the reality is TRANSFORMATION which includes the CONJUGATE SHRINKAKE (of the WILDERNESS) with the so-called GROWTH of the cultivated land.  The SECOND PERSON sees the project in the SIMPLER BINARY LOGIC based terms of GROWTH and IT WOULD BE GROWTH IF IT WERE HAPPENING IN A FLAT EMPTY SPACE OF INFINITE EXTENT rather than in a SPHERICAL SPACE OF FINITE EXTENT, where for every MALE-ASSERTIVE GROWTH OF CONSTRUCTION, there is a FEMALE-ACCOMMODATING SHRINKAGE of WILDERNESS.   Because spherical space is finite, the continuing growth of development comes with the conjugate shrinkage of wilderness, so that, in a spherical space, GROWTH IS NOT GROWTH BUT TRANSFORMATION which includes the SHRINKAGE OF WILDERNESS in conjugate relation with the GROWTH OF DEVELOPMENT.

OTHERWISE SAID, IN THE REAL WORLD OF OUR SENSE-EXPERIENCE, THE SIMPLE BINARY LOGIC UNDERSTANDING IN TERMS OF “GROWTH” IS INSUFFICIENT AND THE LESS SIMPLE QUANTUM LOGIC UNDERSTANDING IN TERMS OF “BALANCE” (TRANSFORMATION which combines the SHRINKING OF WILDERNESS WITH THE GROWTH OF NEW CROPLAND) IS NEEDED

If the FIRST PERSON KEEPS BRINGING UP THIS QUANTUM LOGIC (BALANCE between WILDERNESS vegetation and CROPLANDS) and the SECOND PERSON AND OTHERS KEEP ON TALKING IN TERMS OF “GROWTH” without acknowledging that fact that THERE IS NO GROWTH OF CULTIVATED CROPLAND, THERE IS ONLY TRANSFORMATION OF THE LANDSCAPE WHICH INCLUDES SHRINKAGE OF WILDERNESS DIVERSITY, … then what is going on here is OBSCURANTISM.

IN WESTERN CULTURE, BALANCE has been steadily giving way to the belief in GROWTH as in the GROWTH ECONOMY which ORIENTS SINGLE MINDEDLY TO THE PRODUCTION OF MATERIAL GOODS THAT THE CONJUGATE “CONSUMPTION” OF RAW MATERIALS IS OVERLOOKED, AND THUS THE REALITY OF THE ALL-INCLUDING TRANSFORMATION PROCEEDS LIKE THE PROVERBIAL LOOSE SHEET IN THE GALE

For example, when we use language such as ‘our farm has grown in size from 2 acres o 64 acres, THIS IS OBSCURANTISM sine it hides the fact that what is really going on is TRANSFORMATION.  THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS GROWTH OF CULTIVATED LAND. GROWTH can only happen in an ABSTRACT (UNREAL) ABSOLUTE SPACE of INFINITE EXTENT where the CONTAINING SPACE has no RELATIONSHIP with the THINGS CONTAINED WITHIN IT.

In our SENSE EXPERIENCE REALITY, our FARMING activity is TRANSFORMING what is already there so that there is a CONJUGATE SHRINKAGE OF WHAT WAS ALREADY THERE such as WILDERNESS.

NOTA BENE:  As Bohm and Nietzsche have pointed out, LANGUAGE can bring us a FRAGMENTED UNDERSTANDING of the space we are included in, since LANGUAGE can ABOLUTIZE not only the SPACE but the FORMS in the space, as has been pointed out by Modern physics, which affirms that what we SEE and EXPERIENCE is a WORLD wherein the material forms are CONDENSATIONS of the ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD which gives the QUANTUM LOGIC relation wherein FIGURE and GROUND are only ONE.  QUANTUM LOGIC is the BOTH/AND logic of the INCLUDING medium (the INCLUDING MEDIUM is the WAVE-FIELD and the CONTENTS are the CONDENSATIONS of the WAVE-FIELD.

“MOTION” in this QUANTUM LOGIC world, is actually TRANSFORMATION, since the entire WAVE-FIELD is in flux.

NOTA BENE:  THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION, there is only TRANSFORMATION.

If we were ‘raised’ in the indigenous aboriginal culture, this would already be our basic understanding of the nature of the world we live in; i.e. as an all-including transforming relational continuum in which the many forms are ALL RELATED as in ONE WEB-OF-LIFE, as describes a world of forms that are CONDENSATIONS in the all-including WAVE-FIELD (electromagnetic wave-field).

But we were ‘raised’ in our WESTERN CULTURE which has a different language architecture, … an architecture which SUPPORTS THE CONCEPTS OF GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION, which implies a BINARY LOGIC “EITHER/OR” relation between material forms and the space they reside in,… which DIFFERS RADICALLY from the Modern physics compliant INDIGENOUS ABORIGINAL worldview wherein FIGURE and GROUND (CONTENT and CONTAINER) have a QUANTUM LOGIC relation wherein the FIGURE is a CONDENSATION and the GROUND is the WAVE-FIELD such that THERE IS NO BINARY LOGIC FRAGMENTING INTO “INDEPENDENT MATERIAL ENTITITIES” that, so we say, MOVE ABOUT AND INTERACT WITHIN AN ABSOLUTE EMPTY AND INFINITE CONTAINING SPACE.

THIS IS WHERE WHAT WE CALL ‘EAST’ (indigenous aboriginals, Taoists/Buddhists and Advaita Vedanta Adherents, PART WAYS with WHAT WE CALL ‘WEST’ because those of us raised with belief in the REALITY of GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION  have developed social relational dynamics that accept the ABSTRACT WORLD IN WHICH “GROWTH”, “DEVELOPMENT” AND “PRODUCTION” are ‘taken to be real’ as “OUR OPERATIVE REALITY”…. and as Bohm has pointed with his warning on PSYCHOLOGICAL and MATERIAL “FRAGMENTATION” and also Nietzsche (coming at it from a NEED TO SMASH THE IDOLS point of view) the behaviours of our WESTERN CULTURE social collective are SCREWED UP by our WARPED-BY-LANGUAGE understanding of REALITY in terms of an abstract SUBSTITUTE REALITY in which GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION are DEEMED ‘REAL’, and thus

The SOCIAL RELATIONAL DYNAMIC of THOSE OF US who are orienting to GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION … ***AS IF THESE ARE REAL (THEY ARE NOT REAL IN A SENSE-EXPERIENCE AFFIRMABLE CONTEXT, THEY ARE INTELLECTUAL ABSTRACTIONS THAT INVOLVE BELIEF IN THE ‘REALITY’ OF ABSOLUTE EMPTY AND INFINITE SPACE POPULATED BY MATERIAL THINGS-IN-THEMSELVES, A MATTER-AND-SPACE COMBINATION THAT INVOKES DEPENDENCY ON “BINARY LOGIC” AND WHICH DEPARTS, RADICALLY, FROM THE QUANTUM LOGIC UNDERSTANDING OF MATTER AND FIELD WHERE MATTER IS A CONDENSATION OF FIELD) * * *.

THIS WESTERN CULTURE BELIEF IN THE ‘REALITY’ OF ‘GROWTH’, ‘DEVELOPMENT’ AND ‘PRODUCTION’ AND THE LANGUAGE-BASED ‘SUBSTITUTE REALITY’ WE CONCOCT WITH IT, REMAINS OUR WESTERN CULTURE ‘OPERATIVE REALITY’ IN SPITE OF THE DISCOVERY BY MODERN PHYSICS, THAT ACCORDS WITH THE INDIGENOUS ABORIGINAL LANGUAGE ARCHITECTURE WITH ITS QUANTUM LOGIC FOUNDATION; I.E. WHERE REALITY IS THE ALL-INCLUDING TRANSFORMING, AKA THE “WAVE-FIELD” AS AFFIRMED BY OUR SENSE-EXPERIENCE.  NOTE THAT ‘GROWTH’, ‘DEVELOPMENT’ AND ‘PRODUCTION’ ARE INTELLECTUAL ABSTRACTIONS THAT ARE NOT AFFIRMABLE BY SENSE-EXPERIENCE.

EXAMPLE: To show where the EAST-WEST difference and the WEST’S CONFUSION is coming from.

In our sense-experience of living in the SPHERICAL SPACE of a WAVE-FIELD based reality, we can only increase the area of our croplands by transforming the WILDERNESS or the NON-CROPLAND territory.

PICTURE ‘A’ (TRANSFORMING GESTALT):  Picturing the spherical surface of the earth may be useful in thinking this through, since we can then see that the GROWTH of the cultivated land IS AT THE EXPENSE OF THE SHRINKING OF THE WILDERNESS; in other words, there is a SHRINKAGE OF WILDRENESS CONJUGATE WITH THE “GROWTH” of the CULTIVATED CROPLAND and these are NOT ‘EXPERIENCED’ BY THE EARTH AS ‘TWO THINGS” but as the ONE DYNAMIC OF TRANSFORMATION, as recalls the transition from DR JEKYL to MR. HYDE which is a GESTALT based transformation.  We cannot capture what is going on by saying ‘the CULIVATED AREA IS GROWING’, as we could if the GROWTH was on a FLAT PLANE of INFINITE EXTENT so that there was no CONJUGATE RELATION.  Because the space involved is the SPHERICAL SPACE on the surface of a sphere, the GROWTH  of the CULTIVATED LAND COMES AS A PACKAGE DEAL WITH THE SHRINKAGE OF WILDERNESS in which case the overall GESTALT is undergoing TRANSFORMATION.

PICTURE ‘B’ (GROWTH OF CULTIVATED LAND).  Picturing the GROWTH of CULTIVATED CROPLAND can be done on a notional FLAT SURFACE because we are ONLY INTERESTED IN THE GROWTH AS THE RATIO BASED INCREASE in CULTIVATED CROPLAND which is SELF-REFERENTIAL and compares the AREA of CULTIVATED CROPLAND at the PRESENT TIME relative to the AREA of CULTIVATED CROPLAND X YEARS PRIOR.  This will give a measure of GROWTH of PRODUCTION of FOODCROPS which is a measure of ECONOMIC GROWTH.  From the point of view of INVESTMENT, PROFIT or CAPITAL GAIN, GROWTH IS ALL WE NEED TO KNOW.

NOW WE CAN BEGIN TO COMPARE BINARY LOGIC and QUANTUM LOGIC and explore in what way QUANTUM LOGIC is LESS SIMPLE than BINARY LOGIC.

When we TAKE INTO ACCOUNT the SHRINKAGE OF WILDERNESS in conjugate relation to the GROWTH OF CULTIVATED CROPLAND, we are delving into the REALITY of the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE, which is a LESS SIMPLE understanding that the RATIO-based (RATIONALLY UNDERSTOOD) “GROWTH” of CULTIVATED CROPLAND.   SINCE we are LOSING WILDERNESS as we INCREASE CULTIVATED CROPLAND, the overall GESTALT of land which includes BOTH the GROWING CULTIVATED CROPLAND and the SHRINKING WILDERNESS is TRANSFORMING and the land is becoming MORE DR. JEKYL  and LESS MR. HYDE.  The key point is that this PICTURE ‘A’ QUANTUM LOGIC CONJUGATE relation is the sense-experience affirmable REALITY while the PICTURE ‘B’ BINARY LOGIC GROWTH based RATIO-NAL picture is INTELLECTUAL ABSTRACTION WHICH DOES NOT EXIST IN OUR SENSE-EXPERIENCE.  In other words, the concept of GROWTH is ABSTRACTION which DROPS OUT THE FEMALE ACCOMMODATING CONJUGATE, the WILDERNESS that is GIVING WAY to ‘MAKE ROOM’ for the GROWING CULTIVATED CROPLAND.

HERE COMES THE ‘SCARY’ PART THAT INFECTS OUR WESTERN CULTURE REALITY CONSTRUCTIONS!

By orienting our actions to GROWTH as if it were REAL (but GROWTH is NOT REAL, GROWTH IS A RATIO-BASED FLAT-SPACE ABSTRACTION), we have left something important UNTIED into our thinking which is like leaving a SHEET (securing rope) LOOSE so that our SAIL is FLAPPING IN THE BREEZE whereupon the RANDOM WINDS we are included in are making nonsense of our pretence of steering as if we were following an intended course.  IN OTHER WORDS, WHAT IS GOING ON IS TRANSFORMATION and we are not keeping ourselves in HARMONY within it, because we are busy MANAGING AND DIRECTING GROWTH, and while we are focused on GROWTH, we are OBLIVIOUS TO THE REALITY OF OUR INCLUSION IN THE ALL-INCLUDING TRANSFORMATION AKA WAVE-FIELD.

WHY? BECAUSE “GROWTH” is abstraction that DROPS OUT THE FEMALE ACCOMMODATING CONJUGATE (substituting an absolute empty space of infinite extent) while retaining ONLY THE MALE-ASSERTIVE CONJUGATE OF THE WAVE-FIELD DYNAMIC.   As we manage and direct the GROWTH of TOWNS and FARMLANDS and INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENTS, it is as if this MALE ASSERTIVE CONJUGATE were all that ‘mattered’ WHICH WOULD BE THE CASE IF WE LIVED ON IN A FLAT SPACE OF INFINITE EXTENT WHERE THE ‘GROWTH’ OF ‘TOWNS’ AND ‘INDUSTRY’ AND ‘CROPLANDS’ WAS ‘SOMETHING REAL’; I.E. AS IF WE COULD SIMPLY ‘DROP OUT’ OF OUR REALITY, THE FEMALE ACCOMMODATING CONJUGATE.   Our TALK in terms of GROWTH gives us the RATIONAL PICTURE of CROPLANDS, ‘GROWING’ by spreading out and covering more and more space, … DOUBLING IN AREA and TREBLING IN AREA as are the RATIONAL TERMS we think in when we speak of GROWTH; i.e. the ONE-SIDED MALE-ASSERTIVE ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENTS which Nietzsche points out derive from the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR; i.e. the FARM IS GROWING.  IS THIS REAL?  IS SUCH A THING AS “GROWTH” POSSIBLE?  REFLECTION WILL SHOW THAT “GROWTH” IS POSSIBLE, BUT ONLY IN AN ABSTRACT EMPTY SPACE OF INFINITE EXTENT as our INTELLECTUAL ABSTRACTING POWERS ARE CAPABLE OF CONJURING UP, but “GROWTH” is NOT POSSIBLE in the real world of sense-experience as in a SPHERICAL SPACE where there is NO SUCH THING AS “GROWTH”.  What we call GROWTH as in the GROWTH OF CULTIVATED LAND refers to the where we hoe and rake and clear stones and TRANSFORM land that is already there so that we work over the WILDERNESS, transforming more and more of it to CULTIVATED CROPLANDS but at the end of the day, the INCREASE in CULTIVATED AREA is EXACTLY EQUAL AND OPPOSITE TO THE SHRINKAGE of WILDERNESS LAND.

This would merit the label TRANSFORMATION (of the WILDERNESS) rather than the label ‘GROWTH’ (of cultivated land) since the FORMER TERM acknowledges the CONJUGATE SHRINKAGE of WILDERNESS that comes together with the GROWTH of CULTIVATED LAND, these CONJUGATES transforming the overall GESTALT of the LAND, something that DOES NOT REGISTER when we employ ONE-SIDED MALE-ASSERTIVE FLATLAND ABSTRACTIONS such as GROWTH.

SHOULD WE BE CONCERNED WITH THE ‘DROP OUT’ of the FEMALE CONJUGATE which comes with the use of the term GROWTH?.  For example, when we speak of the GROWTH of a TOWN, we make it out to be a local independent island-in-the-sky, BEREFT OF ITS WILDERNESS CONJUGATE which is being EDUCED by exactly the same area as is being spoken of as GROWTH of the TOWN.   BUT IT IS SIMPLER to speak in terms of GROWTH, just as COPERNICUS pointed out it is SIMPLER to say ‘the EARTH TURNS ROUND’.  In both cases, we get to SIMPLER by way of SHIFTING INTO A SUBSTITUTE REALITY wherein BINARY LOGIC applies so that the operative reality is that there is EITHER something there OR nothing there, and if there is NOTHING THERE, wherever there is NOT SOMETHING THERE, this defines BINARY LOGIC of MATTER and SPACE where what we refer to as SPACE is the ABSOLUTE EMPTY AND INFINITE ‘EUCLIDEAN’ SPACE of the ABSTRACT REALM of GEOMETRY. Toto, we are not in Kansas anymore, we are not in the world of sense-experience anymore, the concept of GROWTH puts us into a world of abstraction.  BALANCE as in QUANTUM LOGIC, the BOTH/AND logic of the including medium is, on the other hand, something we can feel and experience.  In the BOTH/AND LOGIC of the INCLUDING MEDIUM, where WILDERNESS gives way to CULTIVATION, there is TRANSFORMATION.. 

IN SHORT, ‘GROWTH’ implies the BANISHMENT of the FEMALE CONJUGATE which now becomes the DEA ABSCONDITA (since the conjugate action of transformation us not satisfiable by one-sided male-assertive actions as in the THIN-SKULL rule etc.) and this banishment of the FEMALE CONJUGATE is accompanied by the introduction of a SUBSTITUTE REALITY characterized by an ABSOLUTE EMPTY SPACE OF INFINITE EXTENT populated LOCALLY by EXPLICIT MATERIAL THINGS-IN-THEMSELVES notionally with their own (grammar-given) powers of AUTHORING ACTIONS, GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT.

QUANTUM LOGIC is LESS SIMPLE than BINARY LOGIC as in the ANDROGYNOUS imagery wherein material forms are CONDENSATIONS of the all-including WAVE-FIELD (electromagnetic field).  TRANSFORMATION is the  MANIFESTING of CONDENSING and DECONDENSING (GATHERING and SCATTERING in a WAVE-FIELD sense).  As with TOWNING in the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE, while the entire APPLE may be undergoing TRANSFORMATION, the decaying SPOT on the apple, while it signals the overall dynamic of TRANSFORMATION may be seen in terms of the GROWTH of DECAYING SPOT.   The GROWTH of the SPOT is something LOCAL and EXPLICIT even though there is the sense that the real phenomena which includes the landscape, the orchard, the apple tree and the apple, is all included in this  NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT TRANSFORMATION dynamic

Insofar we focus our LANGUAGE-BASED DISCUSSION on the LOCAL AND EXPLICIT aspect of the GROWTH of the SPOT, we OBSCURE the GREATER REALITY.

OBSCURANTISM: The practice of deliberately preventing the facts or full details of something from becoming known.

LANGUAGE BASED CONCEPTS like GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT, PRODUCTION, are OBSCURANTIST because they INVOKE ABSOLUTE SPACE, ABSOLUTE MOTION and LOCAL AUTHORING (by way of the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR) … such ABSTRACT CONCEPTS OBSCURING the sense-experience affirmed REALITY of the all-including TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM aka the WAVE-FIELD aka ‘the Tao’..

CONCLUSION: Treating GROWTH as if it were something REAL is OBSCURANTISM .   AS we FOCUS ON GROWTH, a one-sided MALE-ASSERTIVE DEVELOPMENT, we BANISH FROM OUR PSYCHE, COGNITIVE AWARENESS of the LESS SIMPLE QUANTUM LOGIC CONCEPT OF BALANCE.

IN WESTERN CULTURE, BALANCE has been steadily giving way to the belief in GROWTH as in the GROWTH ECONOMY which ORIENTS SINGLE MINDEDLY TO THE PRODUCTION OF MATERIAL GOODS THAT THE CONJUGATE “CONSUMPTION” OF RAW MATERIALS IS OVERLOOKED, AND THUS THE REALITY OF THE ALL-INCLUDING TRANSFORMATION PROCEEDS LIKE THE PROVERBIAL LOOSE SHEET IN THE GALE

WE CAN EASILY PICTURE GROWTH.   WE SIMPLY HAVE TO FOCUS OUR ‘LENS’ ON ONE PARTICULARLY THING, TAKING A SUCCESSION OF SNAPSHOT OF THE ‘SAME THING’ AT SUCCESSIVE ‘INTERVALS OF TIME”.  OUR FOCUS ON THIS PICTURE of GROWTH; E.G. OF THE ‘GROWTH OF THE TOWN’ IS MISLEADING SINCE ‘TOWNING’ IS A RELATIONAL ‘FORMING’ WITHIN THE ‘TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE’ AND YET ‘IT’ IS A ‘FOCAL POINT’ THAT ‘HOLDS OUR ATTENTION’ IN THE MANNER OF THE ‘CLUSTERING’ OF GATHERING-SCATTERING ANTS, GROWING AND SHRINKING ‘CLUSTER’ BEING NOTHING OTHER THAN AN ‘APPEARANCE’ THAT WE ‘PICTURE’ THAT ONCE WE ASSIGN THE NAME ‘CLUSTER’ TO, AND ANOINT WITH GRAMMAR SO AS TO CREATE LANGUISTIC DOUBLE-ERROR BASED PICTURE OF ENTITY WITH ITS OWN POWERS OF LOCAL AUTHORING.  IN THIS CASE;

A PICTURE HELD US CAPTIVE.  AND WE COULD NOT GET OUTSIDE OF IT, FOR IT LAY IN OUR LANGUAGE AND LANGUAGE SEEMED TO REPEAT IT TO US INEXORABLY —WITTGENSTEIN.

WE CAN SEE THE ANT CLUSTER AND WE CAN SEE THAT IT IS GROWING.  WHAT ARE WE MISSING?

WE ARE MISSING THE UNDERSTANDING OF REALITY AS AN ALL-INCLUDING TRANSFORMATION IN WHICH WE, AND THE CLUSTERING ANTS, ARE INCLUDED.

OBSCURANTISM IS WHERE WE SPEAK IN TERMS OF ‘GROWTH’, ‘DEVELOPMENT’ AND ‘PRODUCTION’, ABSTRACT CONCEPTS THAT CAPTURE OUR ATTENTION SO FORCEFULLY THAT WE ‘LOSE TOUCH’ WITH THE SENSE-EXPERIENCE REALITY OF OUR INCLUSION IN THE TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM.

THE MENTAL PICTURE OF THE ‘GROWTH’ OF RUSSIAN-UKRAINIAN HOSTILITIES  REDUCES US TO ‘VOYEURS’ AND OBSCURES THE GREATER REALITY OF OUR INCLUSION IN THE ALL-INCLUDING TRANSFORMATION.

ARE WE WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS NOT LIKE VOYEURS of our own LIVES as we LOOK IN WHAT WE THINK OF AS ‘THOSE OTHERS’?  BUT AS SCHROEDINGER SAYS ‘SUBJECT AND OBJECT ARE ONLY ONE’.

THE CLOSEST I HAVE GOTTEN TO THAT IS IN PARTICIPATION IN INDIGENOUS ABORIGINAL ‘HEALING CIRCLES’ WHERE THE ‘TAKE-AWAY’ IS SOMETHING NONLOCAL AND IMPLICIT, SOMETHING WE WALK AWAY WITH KNOWING THAT WE HAVE TRANSFORMED AND KNOWING THAT OUR MANNER OF ENGAGING IS TRANSFORMED EVEN THOUGH WE WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO ARTICULATE THE CHANGE IN ‘PRECISE AND EXPLICIT’ INTELLECTUAL TERMS.

THE INFERENCE OF SUCH ‘HEALING CIRCLE’ EXPERIENCE IS THAT WE DO NOT NEED TO FIND EXPLICIT ANSWERS, THAT THE ANSWER LIES IN THE SEARCHING FOR THE ANSWER.

SHOULD I ATTEMPT A SUMMARY OF THIS NOTE?  That seems kind of crazy!

What I have evidently done is strolled NATURALLY through the THREE LEVELS OF REALITY as described by Erich Jantsch;

The lowest LEVEL OF REALITY being the LOCAL AND EXPLICIT where the focus is on the MALE ASSERTIVE as with GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION

The next highest LEVEL OF REALITY being the NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT where the focus is on the FEMALE ACCOMMODATIVE as with OPENING VALLEY aspect of the AVALANCHE which puts us on the doorstep of TRANSFORMATION wherein these MALE and FEMALE POLAR OPPOSITES come together in TRANSFORMATION where we realize that the AVALANCHE is ROCK SUPPLIED BY THE MOUNTAIN that is ACCOMMODATED BY, AND WHICH HELPS TO “FILL IN” FILL IN the VALLEY together constitute TRANSFORMATION when we remove the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMAMR which we habitually use to impute MALE ASSERTIVE AUTHORING of actions and developments and FEMALE ACCOMMODATING AUTHORING of actions and developments.

The highest LEVEL of REALITY being that of Rumi’s Love Dog, which is also the condition brought on in the HEALING CIRCLE which is a kind of inspired condition that is beyond articulation, but is certainly ‘felt’ and is very ‘real’.

And besides these levels, we have OBSCURANTISM which I would describe as our WESTERN CULTURE way of keeping ourselves DUMBED DOWN by denial of the next higher level, as when we find a place where BINARY LOGIC seems to fit and we use it thus blocking a slot that could have been understood with QUANTUM LOGIC (the logic of BALANCE).   Level 3 which is the BINARY LOGIC level leads to EITHER RIGHT OR WRONG based SELECTION and PURIFICATION and it the popular default in our WESTERN CULTURE social dynamic.  We are there once again with the UKRAINE-RUSSIA conflict and we do NOT stop and open the door to the higher levels, we simply DIG IN and SUPPORT ONE FACT OR THE OTHER.  Once people get involved on the basis of BINARY LOGIC EITHER right OR wrong, it is difficult to escape because people become committed to WIN the DISPUTE.    The level 2 option of BALANCE may show up late, and the level 3
