FROM FRAGMENTATION to OBSCURANTISM

THIS IS A “BREAKTHROUGH” for me, in my understanding and it concerns the relationship between FRAGMENTATION and OBSCURANTISM.

Consider the following two ‘views of reality’;

The ‘thin skull’ rule

The thin skull rule makes the defendant liable for the plaintiff’s injuries even if the injuries are unexpectedly severe owing to a pre-exisiting yet stable condition.  The defendant must take the victim as they find them with whatever peculiar weaknesses and predispositions they might have, and is liable even though the plaintiff’s losses are more dramatic than they would be for the average person.

The ‘tide in the affairs of men” understanding;  (from Shakespeare’s ‘Julius Caesar’;

“There is a tide in the affairs of men Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune; Omitted, all the voyage of their life Is bound in shallows and in miseries.”

In the LATTER aphorism, there is an acknowledgment of our being included in a dynamic greater than ourselves,  (this is the QUANTUM LOGIC understanding wherein material forms are CONDENSATIONS of the all-including electromagnetic field) wherein WE ARE “NOT” AUTHORS OF OUR OWN ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENTS (as the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR asserts) but, gives us to understand that we are immersed in world of potentials that INVITES OUR PARTICIPATION.

In this “QUANTUM LOGIC” WAVE-FIELD understanding of ourselves, where we are like the CONDENSATION in the WAVE-FIELD, an understanding of which requires the BOTH/AND logic of the INCLUDING medium where the LOCAL FIGURE and the NONLOCAL GROUND are in physical reality, ONE THING so that “WE”, as the “MATERIAL ASPECTS OF OURSELVES”, have an even greater aspect since WE ARE, AT THE SAME TIME, THE TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM (AKA THE WAVE-FIELD) THAT WE ARE INCLUDED IN.    THIS REQUIRES ‘QUANTUM LOGIC’ based UNDERSTANDING WHICH IS LESS SIMPLE THAN ‘BINARY LOGIC’ UNDERSTANDING.  In ‘BINARY LOGIC’ understanding, ‘MATTER’ AND ‘SPACE’ ARE UNDERSTOOD AS TWO MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE ONTOLOGIC ‘SUBSTANCES’ WHERE THE FORMER ‘MOVES ABOUT’ WITHIN THE LATTER WITHIN A “MATRYOSHKA” (Russian doll) ARRANGEMENT.  In our sense-experience reality of inclusion in the WAVE-FIELD, the FORMS that are developing and, so we say “are moving around” within the field are actually CONDENSATIONS OF THE FIELD, so THE WHOLE THING IS ALIVE and the distinction between the CONDENSATIONS (VISIBLE AS LOCAL AND EXPLICIT FORMS) and the WAVE-FIELD (INVISIBLE AS NONLOCAL AND IMPLICIT WAVE-FIELD DYNAMIC) is a QUANTUM LOGIC distinction rather than a BINARY LOGIC distinction.

Indigenous aboriginal language architecture as well as Bohm’s ‘Rheomode language architecture, captures the QUANTUM LOGIC where the material forms are INCLUSIONS in the all-including WAVE-FIELD, hence the indigenous aboriginal language speaks in terms such as ‘THERE IS TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE’, which is QUANTUM LOGIC based in that the TOWNING is an ACTIVITY within a LARGER ACTIVITY such that the TOWNING is like a WHORLING within the over all TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE (as with the WHORLING IN THE TIDAL FLOW).

We WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS, meanwhile, HAVE ARCHITECTED A LANGUAGE THE REDUCES THE REPRESENTATIONS TO BINARY LOGIC BASED SPLITTING APART OF (A) MATERIAL FORMS, and (B) ABSOLUTE EMPTY AND INFINITE SPACE, … which means that the QUANTUM LOGIC of our sense-experience is LOST, and our language based REPRESENTATIONS are now in the guise of an abstract BINARY LOGIC based “SUBSTITUTE REALITY”.  We thus use language to construct representations wherein we must understand the material forms as possessed of INDEPENDENT BEING (given by NAMING) and also possessed of POWERS OF LOCAL AUTHORING OF ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENT).  This is cited by Nietzsche as ‘the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR.

WE WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS HAVE MADE THIS ABSTRACT BINARY LOGIC BASED SUBSTITUTE REALITY …. “OUR OPERATIVE REALITY” but it is NOT REAL in a sense-experience grounded way.  It is only INTELLECTUAL ABSTRACTION that can be employed in a psychological game-play, … a game played with LANGUAGE where the consistency comes from everyone following the same rules.  The rules in our case (we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS) are that WE MUST CONSIDER THE FORMS WE NAME TO BE INDEPENDENTLY EXISTING MATERIAL ENTITIES THAT ARE LOCAL, MATERIAL, FORMS THAT ARE INDEPENDENT OF THE NOTIONAL “ALL-INCLUDING-EMPTY-SPACE” THAT SERVES THE MIND AS A NOTIONAL ‘CONTAINER’ OF ALL OF THE LOCAL, INDEPENDENTLY EXISTING MATERIAL OBJECTS SUCH AS WE PORTRAY OURSELVES, AS ALLUDED TO WITH THE TERM ‘BEINGS’ AS IN ‘HUMAN BEINGS’.  (There are neither BEINGS nor EMPTY SPACE in a WAVE-FIELD, those are both LANGUAGE-stimulated ABSTRACTIONS).

THIS “NAMING” that imputes “LOCAL BEING” IS PART OF A BINARY LOGIC BASED (REDUCTIVE SIMPLIFICATION BASED) DEPARTURE FROM OUR QUANTUM LOGIC SENSE EXPERIENCE-AFFIRMED EXISTENCE AS CONDENSATIONS IN THE ALL-INCLUDING ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD.

It is ONE THING to understand ourselves as CONDENSATIONS in the all-including wave-field, where we are like WHORLS in FLUID FLOW which transmit influences from the NONLOCAL, IMPLICIT (RELATIONAL) FLOW, … and QUITE ANOTHER to understanding ourselves as LOCAL INDEPENDENT WHORLS notionally with OUR OWN POWERS OF AUTHORING OUR WHORLING , … as SUGGESTED by a LANGUAGE ARCHITECTURE that employs a DOUBLE ERROR combination of NAMING and GRAMMAR to create the impression (in the psyche) of LOCAL AUTHORING,…. a LOCAL AUTHORING THAT DOES NOT AND CANNOT OCCUR WITHIN THE TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM of the ALL-INCLUDING WAVE-FIELD.

As WHORLS in the FLOW, which has the QUANTUM LOGIC  (BOTH/AND logic of the INCLUDING medium) relation, our power comes from the flow we share inclusion in, consistent with the Shakespearean “THERE IS A TIDE IN THE AFFAIRS OF MEN, WHICH, TAKEN AT THE FLOOD, LEADS ON TO FORTUNE; OMITTED, ALL THE VOYAGE OF THEIR LIFE IS BOUND IN SHALLWS AND IN MISERIES.”  This clearly breaks us out of the BINARY LOGIC of independent material bodies in EMPTY EUCLIDEAN SPACE and sets us down in something resembling a WAVE-FIELD, complete with ‘tides’.

As Emerson also observes, we are like WHORLINGS in the FLOWING, and though NOT INDEPENDENT LOCAL AUTHORS OF ‘OUR OWN WORKS’, HAVE THE POWERS OF GATHERING ENERGY FROM THE FLOW WE ARE IN, PUTTING OUR OWN TWIST ON IT, AND IN THE PROCESS TRANSFORMING THE FLOW WE ARE BOTH INCLUDED IN AND ‘MADE OUT OF’.  Emerson captures this QUANTUM LOGIC, WHORLINGS IN THE FLOWUNG understanding of ourselves, in his ‘METHOD OF NATURE’ and therein WARNS US about our bad habit of REDUCING this QUANTUM LOGIC reality to a BINARY LOGIC based ABSTRACTION by imputing LOCAL AUTHORING POWER to the WHORLING IN THE FLOWING, in effect, reducing the FEMALE WAVE-FIELD CONJUGATE to ABSOLUTE EMPTINESS and PROMOTING THE WHORL TO THE ROLE OF A NOTIONAL INDEPENDENT MALE-ASSERTING AGENT working within an empty space;

Whilst a necessity so great caused the man to exist, his health and erectness consist in the fidelity with which he transmits influences from the vast and universal to the point on which his genius can act. The ends are momentary: they are vents for the current of inward life which increases as it is spent. A man’s wisdom is to know that all ends are momentary, that the best end must be superseded by a better. But there is a mischievous tendency in him to transfer his thought from the life to the ends, to quit his agency and rest in his acts: the tools run away with the workman, the human with the divine. -Emerson, ‘The Method of Nature’

The message of both our SENSE-EXPERIENCE and QUANTUM LOGIC (the BOTH/AND logic of the INCLUDING medium) is that we are included in something greater than ourselves which means that we are NOT local authors but rather relational participants with the powers of co-cultivating relational harmonies or dissonances but we are distracted by thinking of ourselves as local authors so that we become mesmerized and obsessed with OUR OWN (wrongly perceived as) SELF-AUTHORED ACTIONS and ACHIEVEMENTS.  The FALSE belief in our own SELF-AUTHORING of actions and developments (per the LANGUAGE-based DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR) brings forth an INTELLECT-BASED SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS that CORRUPTS our sensory-experience inspired participation in the all-including transforming relational continuum (e.g. see https://southerncrossreview.org/9/kleist.htm for ‘what happens when we let the conscious calculating intellect usurp the natural primacy of sensory experience of inclusion in the WAVE-FIELD, and become the LOCAL AUTHOR OF ACTIONS; i.e. we become SELF-CONSCIOUS and EGO-based.)

OK, SHAKESPEARE’S JULIUS CAESAR “tide in the affairs of men” comment is suggesting that we are included in forces greater than us that we can ‘tap into’;

-1- WE HUMANINGS IN THE WAVE-FIELD are like WHORLS-IN-THE-FLOW in that we are INCLUDED IN SOMETHING GREATER THAN OURSELVES, … but being INCLUDED, we are not the SLAVES of the FLOW (in QUANTUM LOGIC we ARE the flow at the same time as we are INCLUSIONS in the flow) and while we don’t have powers of LOCAL JUMPSTART AUTHORING of actions and developments, … we do have the powers of putting our particular SPIN on things as we do, for example, while driving in a heavy traffic flow where we can use our RELATIVE MOVEMENTS to “stir things up” to cultivate harmony or dissonance; i.e. the ‘tide-in-the-affairs” comment claims that our actions can transform the NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT aspects of the dynamics we share inclusion in which implies at the same time, OUR ACTIONS DO NOT DETERMINE LOCAL EXPLICIT RESULTS.  Note that NEWTONIAN PHYSICS, which is designed to serve up LOCAL and EXPLICIT UNDERSTANDINGS of DYNAMICS, is based on the dynamics of ONLY TWO BODIES at a time. “An exact solution for three bodies, exceeds, if I am not mistaken, the force of any human mind” – Isaac Newton 

NEWTONIAN PHYSICS IS DESIGNED TO DELIVER UNDERSTANDING IN LOCAL, EXPLICIT TERMS, .. “NOT” to address a QUANTUM LOGIC world wherein EVERYTHING IS IN FLUX.  In orienting to this goal of EXPLICIT SOLUTIONS, NEWTON invoked the notion of ABSOLUTE SPACE as a FIXED AND STABLE CONTAINER for MATERIAL DYNAMICS so that the focus would be on THE DYNAMICS OF “INDEPENDENT MATERIAL BODIES” AS IF WITHIN AN ABSOLUTE EMPTY AND INFINITE CONTAINING SPACE.   The LESS SIMPLE challenge of understand movements in a purely fluid sense, as with fluid forms within a fluid medium, in other words, the QUANTUM LOGIC (BOTH/AND) relational dynamic, which NEWTON ACKNOWLEDGED to be the more comprehensive target for understanding, was beyond the scope of his BINARY LOGIC based modeling architecture which split MATTER and SPACE apart into mutually exclusive ontological entities.  NEWTON openly acknowledged that the PRINCIPIA explained the dynamics of a SIMPLIFIED SUBSTITUTE REALITY, as the real (sense-experience affirmed) reality) was inherently LESS SIMPLE, this qualification being expressed in the preface to PRINCIPIA MATHEMATICA;

I wish we could derive the rest of the phaenomena of nature by the same kind of reasoning from physical principles; for I am induced by many reasons to suspect that they all may depend upon certain forces by which the particles of bodies, by some causes hitherto unknown, are either mutually impelled towards each other, and cohere in regular figures, or are repelled and recede from each other; which forces being unknown, philosophers have hitherto attempted the search of nature in vain; but I hope the principles laid down will afford some light either to this or some truer method of philosophy.”  Newton, Author’s Preface in the ‘Principia’.

In other words, NEWTON acknowledged that his model was constrained to describing the mechanics of existing material bodies as in an absolute empty space, but he stopped short of addressing TRANSFORMATION wherein GATHERING and SCATTERING seems to prevail over the things involved in the gathering and scattering suggesting the presence of a mysterious unknown force (he was not aware of the QUANTUM LOGIC relation wherein matter which appeared to be composed of, as he described it;

All these things being considered, it seems probable to me, that God in the Beginning form’d matter in solid, massy, hard, impenetrable, moveable Particles, of such Sizes and Figures, and with such other Properties, and in such Proportion to Space, as most conduced to the end for which he form’d them; and these primitive Particles being Solids, are incomparably harder than any porous Bodies compounded of them; even so very hard as never to wear or break in pieces: no ordinary Power being able to divide what God himself made one in the first Creation.”

But NEWTON was trusting in the language architecture he was using (which is limited by BINARY LOGIC as in the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR constructs which impute LOCAL AUTHORING).   He evidently did not reflect on how we infuse SIMPLIFICATION into language where there are resonance features such as the CLUSTERING OF ANTS as they GATHER and SCATTER in relation to a drop of honey (e.g.  from an overhead bees nest), where our language RE-CASTS the inherently NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT GATHERING-SCATTERING (FEMALE-MALE) dynamic of the ants by inventing a LOCAL BEING (the “cluster”) using the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR, as in THE CLUSTER IS GROWING LARGER.   Our use of this DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR is OBSCURANTISM

“OBSCURANTISM”,  the practice of deliberately preventing the facts or full details of something from becoming known.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE RESONANCE DYNAMIC; i.e. the GATHERING-SCATTERING RESONANCE DYNAMIC?

We started off with CLUSTERING which is a GATHERING-SCATTERING resonance feature which is a NONLOCAL, RELATIONAL phenomenon, and we SIMPLIFIED it , making it into a notional LOCAL THING-ITSELF with ITS OWN AUTHORING POWER, using the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR.  This is the same thing we did to the TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE which we made into ‘the TOWN’ and then used the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR to impute to it, “ITS OWN” “BEING”  and “ITS OWN” “LOCAL POWERS OF AUTHORING ITS OWN GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT”.

The TOWN, thanks to GRAMMAR, is imputed to be the LOCAL AUTHOR of its own GROWTH and DEVELOPMENT.  This is the same ABSTRACTION we used in the case of the CLUSTERING of ANTS where we SIMPLIFIED the NONLOCAL and RELATIONAL DYNAMIC using the DOUBLE ERROR OF NAMING and GRAMMER to REPRESENT the resonance feature in the overall flow (in the transforming relational continuum) AS IF IT WERE A LOCAL EXPLICIT THING-IN-ITSELF WITH “ITS OWN POWERS OF AUTHORING ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENTS”.

THE FULL DETAILS of what is going on with TOWNING include the GATHERING-SCATTERING resonance dynamic which is an ANDROGYNOUS dynamic, the GATHERING being FEMALE ACCOMMODATING and the SCATTERING being MALE ASSERTING and, like the GATHERING-SCATTERING in SAND DUNING, our VISUAL focus may be on the LOCAL AND EXPLICIT (e.g. ‘the dune’) which BECOMES LOCAL AND EXPLICIT IN LANGUAGE WITH OUR USE OF THE DOUBLE ERROR OF NAMING AND GRAMMAR WHICH NOT ONLY IMPUTES LOCAL BEING BY WAY OF “NAMING” BUT WHICH IMPUTES LOCAL AUTHORING POWERS BY WAY OF “GRAMMAR”.  But once we start using “the TOWN” as if it were a LOCAL THING-IN-ITSELF notionally with ITS OWN POWERS OF AUTHORING actions and development (e.g. the TOWN is GROWING, DEVELOPMENT, PRODUCING) , … WE ARE IN THE BUSINESS OF “OBSCURANTISM”

“OBSCURANTISM”,  the practice of deliberately preventing the facts or full details of something from becoming known.

The “FULL DETAILS” will include the fact that fact that what we are REALLY TALKING ABOUT is a resonance based dynamic we might more honestly label “the TOWNING” which is INEXTRICABLY INCLUDED IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE DYNAMIC so that we might better use a language architecture such as the indigenous aboriginal language and speak of ‘TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE” which is NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT dynamic.

But in speaking of ‘THE TOWN THAT IS GROWING’, not only are we OBSCURING THE NONLOCAL AND IMPLICIT (relational) RESONANCE PHENOMENON, we are INSERTING SOMETHING FAR SIMPLER IN ITS PLACE.  This is like the Cuckoo’s Egg which is laid in another LESS SIMPLE bird’s nest where it will be nurtured and supported to the point that it HIJACKS the whole process substitutes for the less simple, rightful occupants.  That which is “MORE SIMPLE” in this case SUBSTITUTES for that which is “LESS SIMPLE” so that the “LESS SIMPLE ACTUAL REALITY” is OBSCURED by the “MORE SIMPLE SUBSTITUTE REALITY”.   That is, the MORE SIMPLE SUBSTITUTE REALITY of  ‘THE TOWN IS GROWING, DEVELOPING, PRODUCING’ is SUBSTITUTED FOR THE LESS SIMPLE “THERE IS TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE”., … or in other words, THE MORE SIMPLE BINARY LOGIC WHEREIN FIGURE AND GROUND ARE TWO, IS SUBSTITUTED FOR THE LESS SIMPLE QUANTUM LOGIC WHEREIN FIGURE AND GROUND ARE ONE (WHEREIN MATTER IS A CONDENSATION OF THE ALL-INCLUDING ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD).

WESTERN CULTURE (CLASSICAL, NEWTONIAN) PHYSICS IS “OBSCURANTIST” AND THAT’S NOT ALL, … BECAUSE NEWTONIAN PHYSICS COMES FROM LANGUAGE;

It is sometimes stated that Newtonian space, time, and matter are sensed by everyone intuitively, whereupon relativity is cited as showing how mathematical analysis can prove intuition wrong. This, besides being unfair to intuition, is an attempt to answer offhand question (1) put at the outset of this paper, to answer which this research was undertaken. Presentation of the findings now nears its end, and I think the answer is clear. The offhand answer, laying the blame upon intuition for our slowness in discovering mysteries of the Cosmos, such as relativity, is the wrong one. The right answer is: Newtonian space, time, and matter are no intuitions. They are recepts from culture and language. That is where Newton got them.”  –Benjamin Whorf

SO THE UNDERSTANDING IS ALSO THAT OUR COMMON AVERAGE EUROPEAN LANGUAGE IS OBSCURANTIST, AND THE OBSCURANTISM IS SOMETHING WE INFUSE BY INFUSING BINARY LOGIC INTO THE VERY STRUCTURE OF OUR LANGUAGE AS IN STATEMENTS SUCH AS ‘THE TOWN IS GROWING’ WHICH INFUSES THE DOUBLE ERROR BASED ABSTRACTION OF LOCAL AUTHORING.   The anchor for this OBSCURANTISM is the abstraction of BEING which has no place within a WAVE-FIELD wherein material forms are inherently fluid.

As Nietzsche points out, the abstractions of REASON (which is based on RATIO and thus on BEING), and BEING-based LOCAL AUTHORING are language based abstractions that have no support from our sense-experience of inclusion in the transforming relational continuum (the WAVE-FIELD aka the Tao).  

“Nothing indeed has exercised a more simple power of persuasion hitherto than the error of Being, as it was formulated by the Eleatics for instance: in its favour are every word and every sentence that we utter!—Even the opponents of the Eleatics succumbed to the seductive powers of their concept of Being. Among others there was Democritus in his discovery of the atom. “Reason” in language!—oh what a deceptive old witch it has been! I fear we shall never be rid of God, so long as we still believe in grammar.” —Nietzsche, “Twilight of the Idols, or, How to Philosophize with a Hammer”

Our judgement has us conclude that every change must have an author”;–but this conclusion is already mythology: it separates that which effects from the effecting. If I say “lightning flashes,” I have posited the flash once as an activity and a second time as a subject, and thus added to the event a being that is not one with the event but is rather fixed, “is” and does not “become.”–To regard an event as an “effecting,” and this as being, that is the double error, or interpretation, of which we are guilty.” – Nietzsche, ‘Will to Power’, 531

SO, WHAT MORE MAY WE GET OUT OF ALL OF THIS RHETORIC BEYOND RESTATING WHAT BOHM AND NIETZSCHE HAVE SAID?  THAT IS, WHY THE TITLE FOR THIS  ESSAY;

THIS IS A “BREAKTHROUGH” for me, in my understanding and it concerns the relationship between FRAGMENTATION and OBSCURANTISM.

WE MAY RECALL THAT BOHM WENT AFTER THE ‘FRAGMENTATION’ THAT WE HAVE BUILT INTO OUR LANGUAGE ARCHITECTURE WHILE NIETZSCHE WENT AFTER THE ‘IDOLS’ which sounds at face value as if they were on different missions, but if we consider Nietzsche’s attack on the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR, we can see that this is also an attack on the FRAGMENTATION that derives from the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR (i.e. from using the double error to notionally construct representations of new developments wherever we choose.)

BUT NIETZSCHE was also critical of EGO which inflates through the belief in LOCAL AUTHORING that comes from the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR so Nietzsche wanted to COLLAPSE those IDOLS that were artificially created by the FALSE notion of LOCAL AUTHORING.

In the title Twilight of the Idols, or, How to Philosophize with a Hammer (Götzen-Dämmerung, oder, Wie man mit dem Hammer philosophiert), Nietzsche’s use of the Götzen-Dämmerung title was a pun on Wagner’s ‘Götterdämmerung’ (the Twilight of the Gods).  That is, Götze is a German word for “idol” or “false god”.

SO, we can consider the fact that there are two levels of looking at the same thing here.  Bohm is looking at this in terms of FRAGMENTATION which, while it does derive from the DOUBLE ERROR OF NAMING and GRAMMAR, Bohm doesn’t dwell on that, but goes ‘straight to the point of FRAGMENTATION since where he wants to ‘take us to’ is the understanding of reality in terms of the ‘IMPLICATE ORDER’ which is QUANTUM LOGIC based.

Bohm’s and Krishamurti’s position seems to be; WHY DWELL ON OUR MISTAKEN UNDERSTANDINGS WHEN WE CAN MOVE ON TO OUR CORRECTED UNDERSTANDING through different approaches to dialogue.  FRAGMENTATION as in the EXPLICATE ORDER of things is the problem and we can now acknowledge QUANTUM LOGIC and the natural primacy of the IMPLICATE ORDER which lies BEYOND our traditional form of discourse.

Bohm presents the problem of FRAGMENTATION as follows;

1 FRAGMENTATION AND WHOLENESS (from Wholeness and the Implicate Order by David Bohm)

The title of this chapter is ‘Fragmentation and wholeness’. It is especially important to consider this question today, for fragmentation is now very widespread, not only throughout society, but also in each individual; and this is leading to a kind of general confusion of the mind, which creates an endless series of problems and interferes with our clarity of perception so seriously as to prevent us from being able to solve most of them.

Thus art, science, technology, and human work in general, are divided up into specialities, each considered to be separate in essence from the others. Becoming dissatisfied with this state of affairs, men have set up further interdisciplinary subjects, which were intended to unite these specialities, but these new subjects have ultimately served mainly to add further separate fragments. Then, society as a whole has developed in such a way that it is broken up into separate nations and different religious, political, economic, racial groups, etc. Man’s natural environment has correspondingly been seen as an aggregate of separately existent parts, to be exploited by different groups of people. Similarly, each individual human being has been fragmented into a large number of separate and conflicting compartments, according to his different desires, aims, ambitions, loyalties, psychological characteristics, etc., to such an extent that it is generally accepted that some degree of neurosis is inevitable, while many individuals going beyond the ‘normal’ limits of fragmentation are classified as paranoid, schizoid, psychotic, etc

SO, LET’S REFLECT ON THIS.  BOHM WANTS TO GET TO THE IMPLICATE ORDER which AVOIDS FRAGMENTATION but Nietzsche wants to EXPOSE HOW LANGUAGE IS SCREWING UP OUR REPRESENTATIONS OF REALITY BY INJECTING LOCAL AUTHORS with the use of the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR.

Nietzsche is going after those unreal LOCAL AUTHORS and he wants us to SMASH THEM so as to STOP THEM FROM OBSCURING OUR ACCESS TO REALITY.  So Nietzsche wants to us to do some “psychoanalysis” on ourselves and clear up the confusion in our minds that he points out is being caused by infusing of the abstract notion of BEING.  Nietzsche reflects that; “Even the opponents of the Eleatics succumbed to the seductive powers of their concept of Being”

In other words, Nietzsche sees THE PROBLEM  for we are included in a transforming relational continuum, of the FALSE IDOLS that WE have created in our minds with the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR.  We have created a whole HIERARCHY of perceived LOCAL AUTHORS within our language based house of cards constructions, but in reality, there are no LOCAL AUTHORS, and Nietzsche was big on Emerson and as Emerson points out (in the earlier cited quote), we are included in a dynamic greater than ourselves, an awareness of which allows us to put our actions in the service of cultivating resonance within the transforming relational continuum (aka the WAVE-FIELD).  The HIJACKING of WHO WE REALLY ARE, the WE that is included in the WAVE-FIELD, … by our INTELLECTUAL CENTRE THAT INSISTS THAT WE ACCEPT THE ROLE OF THE LOCAL INDEPENDENT AUTHOR OF OUR OWN ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENTS.  In other words; i.e. in EMERSON’S WORDS; … “there is a mischievous tendency in us to transfer our thought from the life to the ends, to quit our agency and rest in our acts: the tools run away with the workman, the human with the divine.” –

IN OTHER WORDS, WE HAVE A TENDENCY TO TAKE OUR WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE “LITERALLY” AND WHAT WE HAVE BUILT INTO OUR LANGUAGE ARCHITECTURE IS THE DOUBLE ERROR OF NAMING AND GRAMMAR BASED LOCAL AUTHORING ABSTRACTION.  This LOCAL AUTHORING built into the language ARCHITECTURE sources FRAGMENTATION.   BUT WHAT NIETSZSCHE IS COMPAINING ABOUT IS “NOT” FRAGMENTATION BUT “OBSCURANTISM” WHEREIN OUR INJECTING OF AUTHORS EVERYWHERE TO CREATE A SUBSTITUTE REALITY BASED ON LOCAL SOURCING OF ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENTS SETS UP EGO-INFLATED PEOPLE AND NATIONS AND ORGANIZATIONS, WHO NOW BELIEVE IN THEIR OWN POWERS OF LOCAL AUTHORING OF ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENTS.  I am speaking of ‘WE WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS who teach this abstraction based belief to our children’..

It’s not just PERSONAL EGO that gets inflated here but NATIONAL EGO and GROUP EGO and RACE EGO and LGBTQ CATEGORY EGO, so that IDENTITY is FRAGMENTED (and SCHIZOPHRENIA and PARANOIA is following as Bohm is pointing out).  FRAGMENTATION leads to MECHANISTIC PROCESSES of COORDINATING all the FRAGMENTS which is like teaching a MACHINE how to DANCE in harmony with the WAVE-FIELD WORLD in which it is a CONDENSATION.

WAITING IN THE WINGS is the QUANTUM LOGIC awareness of inclusion in the all-including WAVE-FIELD and awareness that relegates the MECHANISTIC INTELLECTUAL CONSTRUCTIONS of our language-based SUBSTITUTE REALITY to a SUPPORT ROLE WITHOUT LETTING SUCH CONSTRUCTIONS HI-JACK THE HELM and have us PRETENDING TO BE AN INDEPENDENT LOCAL AUTHOR, as is the current affliction of WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENCY.

OK, PLEASE EXCUSE THE POSSIBLE JOLT OF INFUSING SUCH RADICAL (COMPARED TO THE WESTERN CULTURE NORMAL) UNDERSTANDING, if the reader isn’t ‘already there’, but the whole HIERARCHICAL SET UP WITH KINGS AND PRESIDENTS AND POLITICIANS THAT WE PURPORT TO BE AUTHORING THE DYNAMIC OF THE GLOBAL SOCIAL COLLECTIVE IS BULLSHIT, BECAUSE THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS LOCAL AUTHORING.

Is it possible for Putin to LOCALLY AUTHOR a NUCLEAR WAR?   Did HITLER’s GERMANY LOCALLY AUTHOR WWII?   Newspaper cartoons back at the end of WWI in 1919 (at the time of the TREATY of VERSAILLES, predicted that the harsh terms of the treaty that would be experienced by young GERMANS, would create the conditions for another war when they reach the age of maturity (i.e. in 1939).   The point is to do with our use of language since in another language we could understand WAR in terms of internal strife within the global social collective.  In the indigenous aboriginal culture, authorship of strife derives from NONLOCAL RELATIONAL TENSIONS that erupt through a local LIGHTNING ROD or CONDUIT which is NOT the AUTHOR of the WAR but which can be the LIGHTNING ROD, the AUTHORING being NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT while the LOCAL and EXPLICIT LIGHTNING ROD derives from TENSIONS which are NONLOCAL and develop within a global we of relations.. The LIGHTING ROD which is a conduit for release of social-relational tensions, however, nasty, does not alter the reality that strife develops within a relational web and does not JUMPSTART from “A LOCAL AUTHOR’ as WESTERN CULTURE OBSCURANTISM pretends; i.e. that “LOCAL AUTHOR” is not the “AUTHOR” but the LIGHTNING ROD that is the conduit for release of NONLOCAL TENSIONAL BUILDUP.  .

NOTE THAT THE (SO-CALLED) POWER TO AUTHOR, AND THE POWER TO DESIGN AND CONSTRUCT AIRPLANES AND RAILWAYS AND NUCLEAR MISSILES IS LIKE THE POWER OF CONSTRUCTING ‘TOWNS’.  IT IS ONLY LOCAL AUTHORSHIP SO LONG AS WE USE OUR WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE BASED REPRESENTATION WHERE WE PUT THE WORDS TOGETHER TO FORM IMAGERY IN THE PSYCHE WHICH, SO LONG AS OTHERS ARE USING THE SAME IMAGERY (AS IN A COMMON LANGUAGE GROUP), PUTS US ‘ON THE SAME INTELLECTUAL-CONCEPTUAL PAGE’.   As Bohm says in his example of the death of Lincoln, … John Wilkes Booth was just one of many contributing factions including “the invention of gunpowder”.    The WESTERN CULTURE habit of reducing language based representation of things to a BINARY LOGIC basis is common and it misrepresents OBSCURES what is really going on..

SO, THERE ARE NO ‘TOWNS’ THAT ‘GROW, DEVELOP AND PRODUCE goods and services.  That is just the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR ABSTRACTION  or the MALE-ASSERTIVE CONJUGATE.  AS IN THE BINARY LOGIC BASED SEPARATION OF ‘THE TOWN’ AS IF IT WERE A LOCAL EXPLICIT THING-IN-ITSELF WITH ITS OWN GRAMMAR-GIVEN POWERS OF AUTHORING ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENTS, SUCH IDEAS COME FROM OUR WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE ARCHITECTURE.  WHAT THERE IS, AS OUR SENSE EXPERIENCE CAPTURES IT AND AS INDIGENOUS ABORIGINAL LANGUAGES CAPTURE IT, IS; … ‘TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE’ WHICH IS A QUANTUM LOGIC BASED UNDERSTANDING WHEREIN FIGURE AND GROUND ARE ONE, WHEREAS ‘THE TOWN’ THAT GROWS, DEVELOPS AND PRODUCES’ IS A BINARY LOGIC BASED UNDERSTANDING WHEREIN FIGURE AND GROUND ARE NOTIONALLY TWO SEPARATE AND INDEPENDENT THINGS-IN-THEMSELVES, WITH THE LATTER HAVING BEEN MADE OVER INTO AN ABSOLUTE EMPTY SPACE OF INFINITE EXTENT IN ORDER TO LET US SPEAK OF THE TOWN SEPARATELY AS IF IT WERE A ‘LOCAL THING-IN-ITSELF’ WITH GRAMMAR-GIVEN POWERS OF GROWING, DEVELOPING AND PRODUCING goods and services.

Ok, the issue here is that our WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE has encouraged us to construct a lot of IDOLS such as HUMANS and TOWNS and NATIONS that are language based representations that OBSCURE the fluid reality of our sense experience of inclusion in the transforming relational continuum.  In indigenous aboriginal languages, as in Bohm’s Rheomode language, everything is included in the WAVE-FIELD (e.g. things are condensations of the WAVE-FIELD) and expressed as verbs, such as TOWNINGS, HUMANINGS and NATIONINGS etc.    Nietzsche’s TWILIGHT OF THE IDOLS points to the OBSCURANTISM that comes with NAMING.

In the title Twilight of the Idols, or, How to Philosophize with a Hammer (Götzen-Dämmerung, oder, Wie man mit dem Hammer philosophiert), the Götzen-Dämmerung title was a pun on Wagner’s ‘Götterdämmerung’ (the Twilight of the Gods).  That is, Götze is a German word for “idol” or “false god”.

ALL OF THE IDOLS WITH POWERS OF AUTHORING ACTIONS ‘HAVE TO GO” because they are OBSCURING what is really (in sense-experience) going on which is TRANSFORMATION.  WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE BASED REPRESENTATION OF (SUBSTITUTE) REALITY IS NOT JUST FRAGMENTED, IT IS OBSCURANTIST.

When we say “RUSSIA ATTACKED UKRAINE” we are using this DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR based ABSTRACTION which is OBSCURANTISM since “we live in a world characterized by global interconnectedness and mutual interdependence”

THERE IS NO LOCAL AUTHORING!  WE LIVE IN “A WORLD CHARACTERIZED BY GLOBAL INTERCONNECTEDNESS AND MUTUAL INTERDEPENDENCE”.

What we are looking at is a WESTERN CULTURE dominated way of TALKING and THINKING which IS in terms of LOCAL AUTHORING.  This reduction to the MALE ASSERTIVE conjugate and the DROP OUT Of the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING CONJUGATE was our WESTERN CULTURE move to SIMPLIFY language based representation.  It is NOT ONLY FRAGMENTATIST but OBSCURANTIST since it OBSCURES the LESS SIMPLE QUANTUM LOGIC of reality by imposing BINARY LOGIC REPRESENTATION.  There is no way to get from THE TOWN IS GROWING to the THERE IS TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE because the former is a representation that strips reality down to the MALE ASSERTING ONLY CONJUGATE while the latter representation retains full androgynous FEMALE-MALE CONJUGATE representation and thus preserves the NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT (RELATIONAL) essence of our sense-experience of inclusion in the transforming relational continuum aka the WAVE-FIELD.

IT IS NOT THAT RUSSIA ATTACKED UKRAINE (which is the one-sided MALE-ASSERTIVE LINGUISTIC ABSTRACTION), but that RUSSIA is serving as a CONDUIT or LIGHTNING ROD for the release of tensions within the global relational matrix.  THOSE LOBAL TENSIONS are clearly present and are taking shape in the usual WESTERN CULTURE manner which is BINARY LOGIC BASED POLARIZATION.

THE BASIC ISSUE IS the LESS SIMPLE QUANTUM LOGIC IMBALANCE while the WESTERN CULTURE OBSCURANTISM is reducing this to the SIMPLE BINARY LOGIC based GOOD and EVIL CONFLICT, reducing the view of what is going on from its innate NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT (relational) actuality to the BINARY LOGIC basis of LOCAL and EXPLICIT representation of POLAR OPPOSITION based CONFLICT.

In Modern physics, as in indigenous aboriginal understanding, any global social-relational complex can become TENSIONED and while the tensions are NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT in their basic nature, the manifestation is LOCAL and EXPLICIT.  The POLARIZED CONDUIT in such cases is not the PRIMARY STORY , since the LOCAL and EXPLICIT POLARIZED conduit through which the nonlocally arising tensions find release does not speak to the NONLOCAL AND IMPLICIT ORIGINS OF THE TENSIONS, but only to the lightning bolt of their release which illuminates two endpoints neither of which is the SOURCE of the stored up tensions.  The source of the tensions is dispersed within the commons that both poles are ‘tapped into’ so that the two antagonistic poles might be considered the ‘scape-goats’ for releasing tensions co-owned and co-authored by the overall nonlocal relationally tensioned web which, rather than acknowledging their own involvement, will form into cheer-leading teams in support of the polarized view of the conflict.  This polarizing is otherwise known as;
