As Nietzsche pointed out, our WESTERN CULTURE language usage employs the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR to impute LOCAL SOURCING of actions and developments.

This is the basis of RATIO-based aka RATIONAL aka REASON based understanding.

RATIO is a concept that, in turn, enables the concept of TRANSACTION.

Example: Fred sold three tons of topsoil to Jane.

Our understanding here is in terms of TRANSACTION, yet the reality is TRANSFORMATION; i.e.  there is a hole in the ground over here and a big mound of topsoil over there.   What is REALLY manifest is TRANSFORMATION of the LANDSCAPE, so WHY DON”T WE TELL IT LIKE IT IS AND SAY THAT WHAT IS GOING ON HERE IS TRANSFORMATION.

The challenge is that TRANSFORMATION is NONLOCAL-and-IMPLICIT (purely relational) so an ARTICULATION of TRANSFORMATION would be INFINITE  in the sense that it is ongoing and there is no end to it thus LANGUAGE is not up to the task of capturing TRANSFORMATION in a LOCAL and thus FINITE sense.   Evidently, WE ARE INCLUDED IN TRANSFORMATION (I.E. WE ARE INCLUDED IN THE TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM AKA THE WAVE-FIELD).

Of course, language is a valuable tool for sharing (SOME SEMBLANCE OF) our INEFFABL-because-NONLOCAL-and-IMPLICIT experience of inclusion in the transforming relational continuum, so that it is worthwhile to BASTARDIZE the DYNAMIC REALITY that we would like to SHARE in order to render it SHAREABLE.

This BASTARDIZATION is achieved by way of the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR as Nietzsche has pointed out.  The NAMING chops out a bit of ‘reality’ and imputes LOCAL existence to it, while GRAMMAR re-animates IN OUR PSYCHE, the chopped out bit of ‘reality’.  Instead of DUNING as in NONLOCAL TRANSFORMATION we have ‘the LOCAL DUNE that is GROWING LARGER and is MOVING towards the coast’

The RESULT is that we shift the focus of understanding from TRANSFORMATION to TRANSACTION.  For example, when we excavate a truckload of topsoil and move it from here to there, we are, in reality, TRANSFORMING the LANDSCAPE.  Such TRANSFORMATION IS “THE REALITY”, but RATIO-NALITY allows us REDUCE this TRANSFORMATION to TRANSACTION by focusing on ‘how much LESS there NOW is over here’ and ‘how much MORE there NOW is over there’ (e.g. the DESERT FLOOR is being swept bare here and the DUNE is GROWING LARGER AND LONGER over there).

This kind of RATIO-based thinking is like MEASURING SPATIAL DIFFERENCES with respect to TIME as in differential calculus  (dx/dt).  What GOES MISSING is the baseline which is abstractly reduced to a ‘constant’.   This omission of the ‘constant’ lets us think of the surface of the ground as a flat plane of infinite extent (as in Euclidian space).  This simplifies the task of using language to capture what is going on by having only to deal with DIFFERENCES in the LANDSCAPE and NOT THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE LANDSCAPE.

So this TRANSACTION based capture of reality LOCALIZES and EXPLICITIZES what is ‘changing’ (one truckload of topsoil is taken from the X LOCATION and redeposited at the Y LOCATION.  Language and grammar give us the means of REPRESENTING what is going on in terms of TWO mutually opposite TRANSACTIONS, the subtraction of soil at LOCAL position X and the addition of soil at LOCAL position Y.

We just constructed in language-based abstraction what differential calculus is all about.  Note that it includes a FLAT EARTH assumption which makes it possible to AVOID ADDRESSING TRANSFORMATION by dealing only with subtraction (a new hole here) and addition (a new mound of earth over there).

You would probably agree with the neatness and tidiness in this language-based representation that comes from the reduction of the NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT (TRANSFORMATION) to the LOCAL and EXPLICIT (TRANSACTION).  You might also agree, on reflection, that THERE IS A BASIC LOSS OF REALITY IN THIS REDUCTION from NONLOCAL TRANSFORMATION of the LANDSCAPE to LOCAL TRANSACTION (a new LOCAL mound on the ground over here and a new LOCAL hole in the ground over there).  Note that this treatment sidesteps the NONLOCAL IMPLICITNESS of TRANSFORMATION by SUBSTITUTING LOCAL mounding and excavating.

There is the danger here that by our focusing on TRANSACTIONS (which are abstract REDUCTIONS of reality), the REALITY of TRANSFORMATION will be left like a ‘loose sheet flapping in the breeze’.  When we say we are constructing a new TOWN over there, this will involve many new gaps in the forest and holes in the ground ‘over there’ and in general, TRANSFORMATION of the LANDSCAPE.

That is, we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS have this way of thinking called RATIONALITY or REASON which sees change in terms of TRANSACTIONS.  That’s what RATIO does for us, it is a PETITIO PRINCIPII, a logical screw-up that references change to that which is changing so as to impute LOCAL SOURCING to phenomena that are innately, as all real world phenomena in the Wave-field aka the Tao are, NONLOCAL-because-relational.   For example, DUNING is a relational resonance phenomenon that is included in the TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM.  That is INEFFABLE-because-ONLOCAL-and-IMPLICIT so we can’t use language to ‘capture it’ because it goes endlessly on and on in space-time (in the Wave-field aka the Tao).

THE WAY OUT OF THE IMPASSE OF INEFFABLE-because NONLOCAL-and-IMPLICIT (fluid) reality, is to USE LANGUAGE (and more specifically the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING-and-GRAMMAR) to construct a pseudo-reality which is EFFABLE-because-LOCAL-and-EXPLICIT.  Voila ‘the LOCAL DUNE’ which, thanks to GRAMMAR, we can notionally enlarge and contract and lengthen and widen and shift towards the coast or shift towards the mountains, as if it were a LOCAL and INDEPENDENT thing-in-itself as the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR makes it out to be.

That’s a pretty neat DOUBLE ERROR based metamorphosis that enables us to reduce the NONLOCAL-and-IMPLICIT to the LOCAL-and-EXPLICIT so we can reduce the NONLOCAL to LOCAL MOUTHFULS. as with the NONLOCAL RESONANCE that manifests as DUNING which we use the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR to reduce to ‘the DUNE’ and/or ‘the DUNES’ with their own GRAMMAR-given notional power of LOCAL SOURCING of THEIR OWN GROWTH and MOVEMENT.

ALL OF THIS METAMORPHOSIS WHICH LETS US SUBSTITUTE THE LOCAL AND EXPLICIT FOR THE NONLOCAL AND IMPLICIT (the Wave-field aka the Tao) IS THANKS TO THE DOUBLE ERROR OF NAMING AND GRAMMAR.  In mathematics, it is the dx/dt DERIVATIVE, a DIFFERENTIATING that lets us separate out those DUNES from the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE and use language and grammar that liberates and animates them as if they had their own powers of LOCAL SOURCING of actions and development.

Now, remember how Heraclitus critiqued us WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS for falling back into our sleep (belef in TRANSACTIONS) immediately after hearing Heraclitus explain that the reality is TRANSFORMATING where ‘everything is in flux’?

Well, you can pretty much count on yourself, the reader of this (because of our WESTERN ACCULTURATION), to slip that same trap of falling asleep again, and there is a good reason for it, as Wittgenstein observed;

A picture held us captive. And we could not get outside it, for it lay in our language and language seemed to repeat it to us inexorably. –-Wittgenstein

Can you picture the FIGURE-and-GROUND-as-TWO representation of DUNE and DESERT as if the DUNE can shift over and across the DESERT?

YES, language lets us ‘paint that picture’ in our minds-eye, … but can you ‘see’, … and by ‘see’ I mean ‘understand’ FIGURE-and-GROUND-as-ONE so that the DUNE and DESERT are ONE and what is going on is NONLOCAL TRANSFORMATION and NOT the LOCAL TRANSACTION of the DUNE SOURCING its own actions and development?

SO, HOW ABOUT THE “FALLING BACK ASLEEP”?

When ASLEEP: we see the DUNE as LOCAL and disembodied from the NONLOCAL RESONANCE (Wave-field) phenomenon.  That is, we see the DUNE as a LOCAL THING-IN-ITSELF ‘out there in front of us’.

AWAKE: we experience inclusion in the NONLOCAL RESONANCE based TRANSFORMATION (Wave-field phenomenon) that includes everything including ourselves.

Evidently TALKING puts us to SLEEP.  TALKING has us doing the DIFFERENTIATION operation of dx/dt where we chop out the load of topsoil, and leave behind a hole in the ground.  Thank you very much EITHER/OR logic of the EXCLUDED medium, … but I would prefer to WAKE UP my INTUITION which acknowledges TRANSFORMATION and the BOTH/AND logic of the INCLUDED medium featuring the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE wherein FIGURE-and-GROUND-are-ONE.

SORRY ABOUT THAT (I am apologizing to my rational self that likes to keep things simple stupid, as the reduction to EITHER/OR logic of the EXCLUDED medium would have it).  According to the EITHER/OR logic of the EXCLUDED medium, the pile of soil and the excavation hole are TWO SEPARATE and LOCAL ONTOLOGICAL ENTITIES and these are the result of a TRANSACTION which ‘SUBTRACTED stuff from over here and ADDED IT over there’.

IN REALITY, there is the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE and it is only because we do the differentiation abstraction that separates out from the TRANSFORMATION, LOCAL MOUNDS and LOCAL DEPRESSIONS like PLUSES and MINUSES THAT TEXIST LOCALLY IN THEIR OWN RIGHT (in our abstracting minds but of course NOT in the reality of the transforming relational continuum aka the Wave-field)..  The belief in the LOCAL EXISTENCE of these ‘mounds’ and ‘excavations’ moves us into this NEW PSEUDO-REALITY where we can say that mounds GROW higher and larger and we use bulldozers to shift them around and we may even FORGET ABOUT ALL THE CONJUGATE HOLES which, together with the MOUNDS, constitute THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE (which lies beyond the reach of LOCAL and EXPLICIT language capture).

IT is by way of TRANSACTION that we buy a 3 ton load of TOPSOIL and spread it over our gravelly backyard..  TRANSACTION is a form of DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR that imputes LOCAL SOURCING of actions and developments.  We can say; “I have raised my garden six inches thanks to a transaction in which I purchased several loads of topsoil from a commercial supplier”.  But who is keeping track of the holes we leave in our ‘production and supply’ of topsoil?  Who is ‘in charge’ of managing TRANSFORMATION?  As we know, TRANSFORMATION is like the loose sheet on a sail that is flapping about in the gale.  We WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS are focused on LOCAL PRODUCTION as if that were the REALITY.  Is the GROWTH of the TOWN “REAL”?  …  or is the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE MORE REAL?  CLEARLY, the LATTER is the REALITY of our sensory experience while the concept of the GROWTH OF THE TOWN is RATIONAL ABSTRACTION.

As discussed above, if we use differential calculus, we can go straight to additions GROWTH and subtractions SHRINKAGE of LOCAL ONTOLOGICAL INVENTIONS (notional things-in-themselves) and forget about TRANSFORMATION.   That is the FLAT-SPACE assumption where we reduce the concept of change to additions (LOCAL mounding) and subtractions (LOCAL excavations) leaving no need to consider the reality of NONLOCAL TRANSFORMATION.  That is what the mathematical ABSTRACTION of “DIFFERENTIATING” does for us; i.e. it introduces the abstraction of LOCAL SOURCING as in GROWTH and SHRINKAGE by way of the DOUBLE ERROR.  The FIRST ERROR is NAMING to impute the LOCAL existence of a thing-in-itself and this is conflated with GRAMMAR to impute the power of SOURCING actions and development (GROWTH) to the NAMING-instantiated thing-in-itself.  This is a petitio-principii that we build into the foundations of rational thinking.

Berkeley was on target with his criticism of Newton’s calculus in his treatise – ‘The analyst: or a discourse addressed to an infidel mathematician’;

“And what are these fluxions [derivatives]? The velocities of evanescent increments. And what are these same evanescent increments? They are neither finite quantities, nor quantities infinitely small, nor yet nothing. May we not call them ghosts of departed quantities?”

RATIO aka REASON can be a useful tool but it is no substitute for reality.

To develop the concept of RATIO, first we impute the LOCAL existence of a NAMING-instantiated thing-in-itself, such as the FIGURE in a FIGURE-and-GROUND-as-ONE situation as with a hurricane in the atmosphere.  By imputing to this NON-DUALITY a DUALITY wherein FIGURE-and-GROUND-are-TWO, we can speak of the FIGURE GROWING LARGER implying an absolute space frame.  Thus, for example, we say the TOWN is GROWING larger without mentioning the conjugate shrinking of the Wilderness as in TRANSFORMATION.  In this manner, we present GROWTH over TIME (dx/dt) as something ‘real’ that we substitute for TRANSFORMATION.  This is the power of RATIONAL thinking aka ‘REASON’..

WITH that abstract reductionism aka ‘differential calculus’ in hand, we can now say that ‘THE TOWN IS GROWING LARGER AND MORE PRODUCTIVE’.  This is based on RATIO, the petition principii where we we use NAMING to invent a THING-in-ITSELF and use this FIRST ERROR to support an additional COMPOUNDING ERROR of GRAMMAR that imputes to the FIRST ERROR (the NAMING-instantiated thing-in-itself) the POWER of LOCAL SOURCING of actions and developments. VOILA, with this DOUBLE ERROR we have created LOCAL SOURCING of actions and developments, … and that’s a hell of a relief because it liberates us from having to deal with reality on the basis of a NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT (continually in flux) REALITY.

This NEW and LOCAL DOUBLE ERROR based pseudo-reality is our WESTERN CULTURE OPERATIVE REALITY and it constructs realities based on LOCAL SOURCING of actions and developments.

GOODBYE TO THE TRANSFORMING RELATONAL CONTINUUM (aka the Wave-field), HELLO LOCAL SORCERERS such as HUMAN-things-in-themselves, NATION-things-in-themselves, CORPORATION-things-in-themselves, all with GRAMMAR GIVEN LOCAL POWERS OF SOURCING actions and developments.

Few would argue against the UTILITY of this REDUCTION OF REALITY to a MECHANICS based on LOCAL SOURCING of actions and developments, … but as the EAST acknowledges, such ABSTRACTION is good only for INFERENCE of the REAL reality of TRANSFORMATION and the deployment of this mechanical DOUBLE ERROR based pseudo-REALITY as the OPERATIVER REALITY (instead of as a tool of inference of the ineffable-because-nonlocal reality) is a CRAZY-MAKER.

HOW IS IT A CRAZY-MAKER?  It is a crazy-maker when we substitute ‘the Town as a LOCAL thing-in-itself with its own powers of producing products’, … for the relational feature in the  TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE that it REALLY is.   This liberating of the TOWN is by way of RATIONAL thinking aka REASON and this is what is driving us WESERN CULTURE ADHERENTS NUTS, as in the conservative liberal split (both are based on the DELUSION of LOCAL SOURCING and argue over whether the SOURCING derives first from the individual or first from the social collective, the old enigma that crops up as ‘wind and flag’, which sources the movement of which and or the ‘hurricane and atmosphere,… does the hurricane source the stirring up of the atmosphere or does the atmosphere source the stirring up of the hurricane?

IN ALL CASES, THERE IS NO DILEMMA BECAUSE THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS LOCAL SOURCING, THAT IS JUST A DOUBLE EFFOR OF NAMING AND GRAMMAR, THERE IS ONLY TRANSFORMATION.  THERE IS NO ‘TOWN THAT GROWS LARGER’, THERE IS ONLY THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE, THE REST IS ‘DOUBLE ERROR OF NAMING AND GRAMMAR BASED ABSTRACTION.

As Heraclitus pointed out, after we have heard all of this, we tend to fall asleep again because our use of language is what is putting us asleep.

WE (WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS) ARE NOT PULLING OURSELVES OUT OF THIS CRAZY-MAKING TRAP BECAUSE OF THE NONLINEAR DYNAMIC KNOWN AS ‘LOCKED IN BY HIGH SWITCHING COSTS’.  That is, WESTERN CULTURE belief in LOCAL SOURCING is where EGO comes from and the social relational pattern of dynamics we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS have developed includes a system of rewarding and punishing based on the belief in LOCAL SOURCING.  For use WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS to GET HONEST and address the reality that THERE IS ONLY TRANSFORMATION and no such thing as LOCAL SOURCING (it is the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR) would be a CULTURE CHANGER of the order of CONVERTING TO EASTERN CULTURE which is consistent with modern physics in understanding FIGURE-and-GROUND-as-ONE in which case there is no such thing as LOCAL SOURCING since LOCAL SOURCING is abstraction based on FIGURE-and-GROUND-as-TWO where, for example, the hurricane sources the stirring up of the atmosphere or the atmosphere sources the stirring up of the hurricane.

YOU THINK WESTERN CULTURE IS READY TO CONCEDE THAT LOCAL SOURCING IS BULLSHIT?

IS WESTERN CULTURE THEN, READ TO CONCEDE  THAT THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A ‘PATHOGEN’ SINCE THE CONCEPT OF A PATHOGEN IS BASED ON THE ABSTRACT NOTION OF “LOCAL SOURCING” OF NASTY ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENTS, THE ANTHESIS OF THE BENEVOLENT WHO ARE CONCEIVED OF AS THE AUTHORS OF ‘LOCAL SOURCING’ OF BENEFICIAL ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENTS.

LETTING GO OF THE CONCEPT OF PATHOGEN MEANS LETTING GO OF THE EGO INFLATION THAT COMES FROM THE ASSUMPTION OF ONE’S PERSONAL POWER OF LOCAL SOURCING OF ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENTS OR THE NATIONAL PRIDE THAT COMES FROM THE ASSUMPTIO OF THE NATION’S POWER OF LOCAL SOURCING OF ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENTS.

These EGO-building assumptions of LOCAL SOURCING are nothing other than the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMAING and GRAMMAR as Nietzsche has pointed out.

There is only TRANSFORMATION and we and everything are included in it, call it the Wave-field or call it the Tao but whatever we call it, it remains INEFFABLE-because-NONLOCAL-and-IMPLICIT as is the nature of the Wave-field.

TRANSACTION derives from RATIONALITY aka REASON and that is where I move a truckload of topsoil from the ‘empty lot’ (as if that were an explicit LOCAL place) into ‘your yard’ (as if that were an explicit LOCAL place), thus obscuring the reality of TRANSFORMATION of the common LANDSCAPE.

RATIONALITY aka REASON is where we keep piling up loads of topsoil and speak of the GROWTH of the pile without mentioning the deepening and enlarging of hole that the topsoil is being extracted from.  INTELLIGENCE aka INTUITION is meanwhile making the connection between the subtraction of topsoil from one place and the addition of topsoil in another place as the one dynamic of TRANSFORMATION of the LANDSCAPE.

We WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS continue to orient our social relational actions to REASON based TRANSACTIONS as support the abstraction of GROWTH, ignoring our INTELLIGENCE/INTUITION which is informing us of the REAL REALITY of TRANSFORMATION.
