OVERVIEW:  The challenge of sharing our complex experience of living in a transforming relational continuum also known as “The Tao that cannot be told” (Lao Tzu), has led to the development of “LANGUAGE”, more appropriately termed “LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING” to avoid the confusion that comes with the assumption that LANGUAGE is directly reporting on our sense-experience reality… IT IS NOT!  Language or “LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING” comes with the issue noted by Korzybski that ‘the word is not the thing’ which is further complicated since as MODERN PHYSICS informs us, we share inclusion in a WAVE-FIELD wherein material forms are CONDENSATIONS of the all-including WAVE-FIELD.   This ambiguous matter/field relation gives rise to the need for QUANTUM LOGIC in our LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING.  QUANTUM LOGIC is the BOTH/AND LOGIC of THE INCLUDING MEDIUM which takes into account the interconnected and interdependent (relational) nature of material forms as CONDENSATIONS of the WAVE-FIELD.   The cultures of EAST and WEST can be distinguished by the EAST’s use of LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING that is QUANTUM LOGIC or FLOW-BASED (relational) as contrasts with the WEST’s use of LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING that is BINARY LOGIC  or BEING-based.  This essay serves a ROSETTA STONE role in reviewing how the WEST’s adoption of a BINARY LOGIC LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING scheme is the source of FRAGMENTATION and OBSCURANTISM that is NOT PRESENT in the QUANTUM LOGIC LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING scheme of the“EAST” (indigenous aboriginal cultures, Taoism/Buddhism and Advaita Vedanta, as well as QUANTUM PHYSICS).

FORWARD:  WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE comes with the potential for psychological confusion because it incorporatates a TOO SIMPLE, LOGICALLY INCOMPLETE “BEING-BASED linguistic conceptualizing scheme that Nietzsche has termed ‘the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR.  This ‘DOUBLE ERROR’ gives us the impression of MALE-ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING “LOCAL AUTHORING” without acknowledging the real-world conjugate of FEMALE-ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING.  Only in an imaginary abstract flat space of infinite extent would the one-sided “male-asserting/actualizing” pseudo-dynamics of GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION be possible.  In the sense-experience affirmed, all-including, continually transforming wave-field, the “male asserting/actualizing” of GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION is only found in conjugate relation with the “female-accommodating/enabling’ dynamics of SHRINKING, DEGENERATION and CONSUMPTION, co-constituting together the all-including wave-field dynamic of TRANSFORMATION.

While philosophers such as Mircea Eliade (Mephistopheles et l’Androgyne) and systems theorists such as Kenneth Boulding have pointed to the confusion in WESTERN CULTURE associated with how our linguistic conceptualizing handles “THE TWO AND THE ONE” (the English title of the aforementioned book by Eliade).  The standard BEING-based languages of Western culture are simple BINARY LOGIC based while the languages of indigenous aboriginals, Taoists/Buddhists and Advaita Vedanta, in accord with MODERN PHYSICS, employ a less simple but more comprehensive QUANTUM LOGIC FLOW-based linguistic conceptualizing scheme.  The BEING based linguistic conceptualizing is dependent on an abstract ABSOLUTE EMPTY and INFINITE SPACE as an ‘operating theatre’ for dynamics that are imagined in the simple BINARY LOGIC terms of the movements and interactions of independent material bodies as if within an empty infinite space.  The FLOW based linguistic conceptualizing is dependent on RELATIONS as describe a NON-BEING-DEPENDENT transforming wave-field comprised of the QUANTUM LOGIC combination of wave-field and material forms that are condensations of the wave-field where the field and the condensations of the field manifest in a BOTH/AND LOGIC of the  INCLUDING MEDIUM (QUANTUM LOGIC) relation.

The QUANTUM LOGIC understanding requires a linguistic conceptualizing scheme that captures the BOTH/AND relation between “BOTH” material forms (condensations of the all-including energy-charged PLENUM aka WAVE-FIELD) … “AND” the energy charged PLENUM aka WAVE-FIELD.   This QUANTUM LOGIC has an ANDROGYNOUS structure in that its “BOTH/AND’ capability acknowledges the ANDROGYNOUS (conjugate) combination of the FEMALE ACCOMODATING/ENABLING dynamic and the MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING dynamic.  This means that GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION “DO NOT EXIST ON THEIR OWN” but are only found in conjugate relation with their”female-accommodating/enabling” “counterpart” dynamics of SHRINKING, DEGENERATION and CONSUMPTION, the combination, rather than a mechanical sum-of-the-parts, being found in the sense-experience affirmed all-including wave-field dynamic of TRANSFORMATION.

WE KNOW THAT we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS employ a linguistic conceptualizing scheme that FLATLY “DROPS OUT” the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING CONJUGATE and ‘goes with’ ONLY the MALE-ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING conjugate, hence we speak in terms of GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION as if these dynamics WERE REAL when they are ABSTRACTIONS that are MISSING their FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING conjugates of SHRINKING, DEGENERATION and CONSUMPTION which together with GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION co-constitute TRANSFORMATION.

Our sense-experience affirms that we are immersed in an all-including WAVE-FIELD based TRANSFORMATION, while our WESTERN CULTURE employs the tactic of using the simplified BINARY LOGIC based MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING pseudo-realities of GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION, which are only half the story.  But, as Goedel’s Theorem of the INCOMPLETENESS of ALL FINITE LOGICAL PROPOSITIONS, our propositions involving GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION can be “TRUE” without being “REAL” due to their INCOMPLETENESS wherein, as mentioned, they DROP OUT (or fail to acknowledge) the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING conjugates of SHRINKING, DEGENERATION and CONSUMPTION, and it is only when we use LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING in a manner that would have us understand these MALE and FEMALE conjugates in their ANDROGYNOUS UNION of TRANSFORMATION that our LANGUAGE-INFORMED UNDERSTANDING has a chance of ‘matching up with’ our SENSE-EXPERIENCE UNDERSTANDING.

As it is, in WESTERN CULTURE, we have engineered ECONOMIES based ONE-SIDEDLY on THE UNREAL, ABSTRACTIONS OF GROWTH/DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION, the TRUTH of which is convincing, without alerting us to the Goedel’s Theorem INCOMPLETENESS of such ONE-SIDED MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING LOGICAL PROPOSITIONS, which, TRUE though they may be, are nevertheless INCOMPLETE and thus fail in their linguistic conceptualizing, to inform us on REALITY, that REALITY being an all-including TRANSFORMATION which incorporates the conjugates of SHRINKING, DEGENERATION and CONSUMPTION together with GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION.

Our WESTERN CULTURE USE OF BINARY LOGIC and the simplified abstract “LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZATIONS” that such simple logic supports, distinguishes us from CULTURES USING QUANTUM LOGIC such as INDIGENOUS ABORIGINAL CULTURES, TAOISTS/BUDDHISTS and ADVAITA VENDANT ADHERENTS and the small minority of QUANTUM PHYSICISTS who have ‘switched teams’ (from the BINARY LOGIC, abstract being-based pseudo-reality-grounded team to the QUANTUM LOGIC sense-experience-grounded team). While some fractions of the aforementioned QUANTUM LOGIC user-groups have ‘converted’ to the BINARY LOGIC based understandings that are built into WESTERN CULTURE linguistic conceptualizing, there continue to be holdouts; i.e. those who have managed to sustain their FLOW-BASED LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING practice.

This lengthy FORWARD is ‘made lengthy’ beause it is written in ENGLISH and ENGLISH is one of the “Common Average European” languages, in linguist Benjamin Whorf’s categorization, that suffers from BINARY LOGIC based DUMBING DOWN by way of the DROPPING OUT of the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING conjugate.  That is, languages such as ENGLISH give a foundational role to BINARY LOGIC by way of simple LOGICAL PROPOSITIONS such as ‘the TOWN is GROWING’, which Goedel’s Theorem “WARNS US” is “INCOMPLETE”, and we can easily see what is INCOMPLETE about it; i.e. it DOES NOT MENTION THE CONJUGATE SHRINKING OF WILDERNESS and thus OBSCURES in our LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZATIONS, the LESS SIMPLE reality of TRANSFORMATION which comes to us with the conjugate combination of “BOTH” MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING as with GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION … “AND” … FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING” as with SHRINKING, DEGENERATION and CONSUMPTION.

As Whorf points out, we would have no problem with our LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING if we were using a QUANTUM LOGIC capable language like HOPI, but our use of ENGLISH with its BINARY LOGIC, BEING-based LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING “IS” a problem.  As Zen philosopher Alan Watts suggested, we users of English could avoid the BINARY LOGIC based DUMBING DOWN (from QUANTUM LOGIC to BINARY LOGIC) by avoiding the use of NOUNS signifying BEING and instead using only VERBS as support understanding in RELATIONAL (QUANTUM LOGIC) terms.

THIS HASN’T HAPPENED AND IS UNLIKELY TO HAPPEN SOON because we have secured with PRIDE the foundational status of NAMES/NOUNS with, as Nietzsche points out, the associated DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR that supports the abstraction of LOCAL AUTHORING of actions and developments which is solidly entrenched in WESTERN CULTURE LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING and is the basis for WESTERN CULTURE’S BEING based PURIFICATIONIST systems of REWARDS for GOOD BEINGS and PUNISHMENTS for BAD BEINGS.  This BINARY LOGIC EITHER/OR LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING scheme is in radical contrast to the ‘mitakuye oyasin’ (we are all related) QUANTUM BOTH/AND LOGIC OF THE INCLUDING MEDIUM understanding of indigenous aboriginal cultures.  The QUANTUM BOTH/AND LOGIC linguistic conceptualizing approach is reaffirmed by MODERN PHYSICS, wherein our INCLUSION in the all-including ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM aka WAVE-FIELD is LINGUISTICALLY ACKNOWLEDGED as in flow-based linguistic conceptualizations such as ‘THERE IS TOWNING AND HUMANING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE” where material forms are understood as CONDENSATIONS of the all-including ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM wherein EVERYTHING IS IN FLUX.

The DYSFUNCTION that is intensifying in our WESTERN CULTURE social dynamic is shaped by linguistic conceptualizing that is DUMBED DOWN from needed less-simple QUANTUM LOGIC, WAVE-FIELD competent linguistic conceptualizing, to simple BINARY LOGIC MECHANICS (material-objects-banging-about-in-empty-space linguistic conceptualizing).  This simplistic BINARY LOGIC conceptualizing DROPS OUT acknowledgement of the conjugate SHRINKING, DEGENERATION and CONSUMPTION that work together with GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION in the TRANSFORMING of the RELATIONAL CONTINUUM of our sense-experience.

In spite of the WARNINGS of Nietzsche, Bohm, Schroedinger and others as to how our WESTERN CULTURE over-simplistic LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING is the source of rising FRAGMENTATION and OBSCURANTISM, we continue to move forward down a path of intensifying BINARY LOGIC fuelled DYSFUNCTION, punctuated with MASS SHOOTINGS and MILITARY CONFLICTS that, instead of having a QUANTUM LOGIC orientation to resolving RELATIONAL IMBALANCE, have a BINARY LOGIC orientation to BEING-BASED PURIFICATIONISM.

The SHORTFALL in BINARY LOGIC based LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING which we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS PERSIST IN USING, is CLEARLY IDENTIFIED by Nietzsche, in his following two comments that ‘set the stage’ for the need to UPGRADE to QUANTUM LOGIC BASED LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING which is FLOW-BASED (NONLOCAL, IMPLICIT) and is NOT DEPENDENT on (LOCAL, EXPLICIT) MATERIAL BEINGS and, DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR based “LOCAL AUTHORING”.  In Nietzsche’s following two comments, he rejects the notion of BOTH “BEING” and “BEING-based LOCAL AUTHORING”.

 

In its origin language belongs in the age of the most rudimentary form of psychology. We enter a realm of crude fetishism when we summon before consciousness the basic presuppositions of the metaphysics of language, in plain talk, the presuppositions of reason. Everywhere it sees a doer and doing; it believes in will as the cause; it believes in the ego, in the ego as being, in the ego as substance, and it projects this faith in the ego-substance upon all things — only thereby does it first create the concept of “thing.” Everywhere “being” is projected by thought, pushed underneath, as the cause; the concept of being follows, and is a derivative of, the concept of ego. In the beginning there is that great calamity of an error that the will is something which is effective, that will is a faculty. Today we know that it is only a word.” – Nietzsche, ‘Twilight of the Idols’

 

Our judgement has us conclude that every change must have an author”;–but this conclusion is already mythology: it separates that which effects from the effecting. If I say “lightning flashes,” I have posited the flash once as an activity and a second time as a subject, and thus added to the event a being that is not one with the event but is rather fixed, “is” and does not “become.”–To regard an event as an “effecting,” and this as being, that is the double error, or interpretation, of which we are guilty.” – Nietzsche, ‘Will to Power’, 531

 

Note that Nietzsche is CRITIQUING both the use of NAMING to impute BEING (e.g. “lightning”) as the SUPPORT STUB for CONTRIVING BEING-based AUTHORING; …  Everywhere “being” is projected by thought, pushed underneath, as the cause …

Nietzsche’s exposing of this major SHORTFALL in WESTERN CULTURE LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING (an engineered-in dependency on BINARY LOGIC based BEING and its GRAMMAR based cohort “LOCAL AUTHORING”). which conflicts with the WAVE-FIELD view of reality wherein EVERYTHING IS RELATED AS CONDENSATIONS WITHIN AN ALL-INCLUIDING FLUX.  Nietzsche agrees with Heraclitus’ that “EVERYTHING IS IN FLUX” and holds a QUANTUM LOGIC-like view of the world as ‘ENERGY-CHARGED-PLENUM’;  “And do you know what “the world” is to me? Shall I show it to you in my mirror? This world: a monster of energy, without beginning, without end, a firm, iron magnitude of force that does not grow bigger or smaller, that does not expend itself but only transforms itself “ —Nietzsche, “The Will to Power”

Thus, Nietzsche makes an important critique of the WESTERN CULTURE “BEING-BASED” linguistic conceptualizing scheme.  Today, we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS continue to give BEING a foundational role in our LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING scheme  in spite of its REJECTION BY Heraclitus, and as is also evident, by Nietzsche and MODERN PHYSICS.

Here’s HOW WESTERN CULTURE is CULTIVATING DEEPENING DYSFUNCTION

 

By ‘Deepening Dysfunction’, I am referring to unfolding events such as HAMAS’ INSANE MASSACRE of Israelis and Netanyahu’s “INSANE” RESPONSE.

These are WESTERN CULTURE INSANITIES, based on SIMPLE BINARY LOGIC, the LOGIC that EITHER GOOD OR EVIL is made of, which leads to PURIFICATIONIST actions aimed at ELIMINATING EVIL actions and developments and PROMOTING GOOD actions and developments.

 

The THEME in this note, as in my writing generally, is the same theme as in Nietzsche and Bohm and Schroedinger’s writing, although expressed through different LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING means, is that WE LIVE IN A QUANTUM LOGIC REALITY while WESTERN CULTURE is using a TOO-SIMPLE BINARY LOGIC LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING SCHEME (‘language’) to construct a SHAREABLE IMPRESSION OF REALITY.   The SIMPLE BINARY LOGIC linguistic conceptualizing scheme is the  supports the ‘operative reality’ of WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS while the less SIMPLE (WAVE-FIELD compliant) QUANTUM LOGIC linguistic conceptualizing scheme is the ‘operative reality’ in use in MODERN PHYSICS and by indigenous aboriginals, Taoists/Buddhists and Advaita Vedanta adherents.

 

THE BEHAVIOR OF OUR SOCIAL COLLECTIVE DIFFERS depending on WHICH linguistic conceptualizing scheme we choose to use, and while we are free to SWITCH schemes at any time, we can see LANGUAGE and CULTURE inform each other and that as Kipling affirmed “EAST IS EAST AND WEST IS WEST AND NEVER THE TWAIN SHALL MEET”.  What this ‘boils down to’ is that WESTERN CULTURE is based on BINARY LOGIC linguistic conceptualization while EASTERN (indigenous aboriginal, Taoists/Buddhist and Advaita Vedanta CULTURES) are based on QUANTUM LOGIC linguistic conceptualization.

 

BINARY LOGIC is the EITHER/OR logic of the EXCLUDED MEDIUM (the logic of material BEING based entities moving about and interacting as if in empty, infinite space) which imputes the INDEPENDENCE of all material “BEING” things, which are spoken of by way of the “DOUBLE ERROR” (as Nietzsche hs termed it) device of NAMING and GRAMMAR (e.g. ‘the TOWN is GROWING’)

 

QUANTUM LOGIC is the BOTH/AND logic of the INCLUDING MEDIUM (the logic of fluid dynamics wherein material forms associate with WHORLINGS in the FLOWING [WAVE-FIELD] MEDIUM wherein EVERYTHING IS IN TRANSFORMATIVE FLUX (e.g. Where there are TOWNINGS in the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE where the TOWNINGS are ‘gathering-scattering features; i.e. LOCAL, EXPLICIT [in appearance] resonance features in an intrinsically NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT ‘fluid [WAVE-FIELD] dynamic).

We know that ONLY THE QUANTUM LOGIC LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING SCHEME is consistent with our SENSE-EXPERIENCE while the BINARY LOGIC LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING SCHEME is TOO SIMPLE, … HOWEVER, … It has the SUPPORT OF THE ABRAHAMIC RELIGIOUS TRADITIONS of JUDAISM, CHRISTIANITY and ISLAM which is why BINARY LOGIC based LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING IS DOMINANT IN SHAPING TODAY’S GLOBAL SOCIAL DYSFUNCTION such as exemplified by the BINARY LOGIC based CONFLICT of HAMAS and NETANYAHU.

 

WHILE STRIFE AND VIOLENCE are ubiquitous and are manifest in indigenous aboriginal cultures, Taoism/Buddhism and Advaita Vedanta, the understanding in these cases is NOT  the BINARY LOGIC based understanding that everyone is INDEPENDENT which leads to a PURIFICATIONIST response wherein there is an attempt to ELIMINATE THE BAD and support the continuance of THE GOOD, but the understanding is INSTEAD the ‘everything is related’ (MITAKUYE OYASIN) whereby a program of PURIFICATION equates to a program of SCAPE-GOATING, as in “BLAMING” the “holder of the smoking gun” who is in fact, in the relational understanding, the VENT for tensions developing in and belonging to the SOCIAL RELATIONAL MATRIX or WEB (“Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it” – Chief Seattle).  In this case, EVERYONE IS CO-RESPONSIBLE and it MAKES NO SENSE to undertake PURIFICATIONIST PROGRAMS of ELIMINATING EVIL OTHERS as is a tendency in the Abrahamic religious belief traditions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam.   Instead, the UNDERSTANDING of strife is that it is coming from unaddressed buildups of TENSIONS in the relational social matrix which, while these tensions are NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT (relational, and developing and building within the social matrix), THEY MANIFEST IN LOCAL, EXPLICIT VIOLENT ERUPTIONS.

 

EASTERN CULTURE (indigenous aboriginals, Taoists/Buddhists and Advaita Vedanta adherents), because of its embrace of QUANTUM LOGIC, the LOGIC of BALANCE and IMBALANCE, interprets such ERUPTIONS OF VIOLENCE as deriving from VENTINGS of the TENSIONS of relational IMBALANCE WITHIN THE ALL-INCLUDING RELATIONAL MATRIX.   The RELATIONAL MATRIX in this understanding, is the matrix of relations as may be visualized in terms where MATERIAL FORMS are CONDENSATIONS of the ALL-INCLUDING ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM aka WAVE-FIELD wherein EVERYTHING IS RELATED (mitakuye oyasin).  In this case, IT MAKES NO SENSE TO “LIMIT” the ATTRIBUTING of AUTHORSHIP of violence to the VENTING AGENT and IGNORE the role of the TENSIONED SOCIAL-RELATIONAL MATRIX, and this is why, in indigenous aboriginal culture, there is a convening of a HEALING CIRCLE to address the RELATIONAL TENSIONS which are the root source of ERUPTIONS of VIOLENCE wherein the SMOKING GUN HOLDER is the VENT rather than ‘the SOURCE’.

 

WESTERN CULTURE, because of its embrace, in its linguistic conceptualizing scheme, of SIMPLE BINARY LOGIC, comes up with a conceptualization wherein the VENTING AGENT that , in EASTERN CULTURE linguistic conceptualizing is merely the CONDUIT for the VENTING of TENSIONS accumulating within the SOCIAL-RELATIONAL MATRIX, is INSTEAD PORTRAYED as “the LOCAL, EXPLICIT AUTHOR of the VIOLENCE.”

 

WESTERN CULTURE LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING INVOLVES A SIMPLIFYING REDUCTION TO BINARY LOGIC so that even where relational dynamics prevail as in a traffic dynamic where the tensions invoke swerving and braking and accelerating and ultimately COLLISION in which case WESTERN CULTURE JUSTICE, using BINARY EITHER/OR LOGIC OF THE EXCLUDED MEDIUM, seeks out a LOCAL, EXPLICIT PERPETRATOR-VICTIM combination in spite of the NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT (RELATIONAL) NATURE OF DYNAMICS which call for the less simple QUANTUM BOTH/AND LOGIC OF THE INCLUDING MEDIUM.  When we undestand ourselves as INCLUDED WITHIN THE WORLD DYNAMIC as in a STRAND IN THE ALL-INCLUDING WEB-OF-LIFE, we cannot support the BINARY LOGIC based notions of INDEPENDENT BEINGS notionally with the power of LOCAL AUTHORING of actions and development as supports the differentiation into into LOCAL and EXPLICIT BINARY of PERPETRATOR and VICTIM.

We WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS have reached into our box of abstractions and have pulled out an ABSOLUTE REFERENCE SPACE FRAMER so as to isolate the movements of individuals by mapping them as moving relative to the ABSOLUTE REFERENCE FRAME, instead of acknowledging the less-simple reality of their inclusion in the transforming relational matrix.

This is WESTERN BINARY LOGIC THINKING CULTURE IN ACTION, reminding one of being in a crowd and being pushed up again the big bosomed lady who whaps you with her purse for your audacity in squeezing up against her boobs, as if the crowd dynamic were nothing other than an incidental smoke-screen for your ‘deliberate, local, explicit male asserting/actualizing caper’ as is the simplified ARISTOTELIAN (BINARY LOGIC BASED) linguistic conceptualizing of the WEST.  This WESTERN ARISTOTELIAN BINARY LOGIC SIMPLIFYING SCHEME is commonly used to INVENT a BINARY LOGIC PERPETRATOR-VICTIM relation, a ‘reality-simplifying’ tool which has been carried forward in WESTERN CULTURE by the Jewing, Islamic and Christian religion.

The U.S. is at its wit’s end in trying to ‘reason’ with Netanyahu as he digs his nation into an ever-deeper hole with his brutal treatment of Palestinians.

 

There is something BIBLICAL about the conflict that is unfolding, which is very “BINARY LOGIC” based on the EITHER/OR ABSOLUTES of “RIGHT” and “WRONG”.

 

In indigenous aboriginal cultures, and in philosophy in general, the less absolute form of logic, QUANTUM LOGIC is based on BALANCE as with the BOTH/AND LOGIC of the INCLUDING MEDIUM, an example of which is WHORLING in FLOWING where we cannot scoop out, in a fishing net, the WHORLING as we could if it were in an EITHER/OR BINARY LOGIC relation with the its CONTAINER because the WHORLING is an innately included FEATURE of the FLOWING.  Here, we could say that FIGURE and GROUND are only ONE, since we are talking about the world we live in, as Schroedinger says; ‘SUBJECT and OBJECT are ONLY ONE’, capture the reality that MATERIAL FORMS are CONDENSATIONS of the ALL-INCLUDING WAVE-FIELD.

 

NOW COMES LANGUAGE and while indigenous aboriginals, Taoists/Buddhists and Advaita Vedanta adherents, along with MODERN PHYSICS, have opted for a QUANTUM LOGIC foundation where one understands that material forms are condensations of the all-including energy-charged PLENUM aka WAVE-FIELD, we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS have persisted in following the path of the Abrahamic religions and are using the ABSOLUTES of BINARY LOGIC in our language, and thus in our REASONING.

 

Netanyahu is no “Chief Seattle”; i.e. Netanyahu is ‘coming from’ a BINARY LOGIC interpretation of ‘reality’ which is innately SIMPLER than the QUANTUM LOGIC interpretation of reality in the following sense;

Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.”   Here, EVERYTHING IS RELATED as with CONDENSATIONS in the ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM .  This LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZATION is supported by MODERN PHYSICS.

 

Abraham’s BINARY LOGIC counsel to man:  “…replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” Here, EVERYTHING IS INDEPENDENT, as in “the CREATION” (GENESIS) where material forms are seen as INDEPENDENT MATERIAL BEINGS.  This BINARY LOGIC based LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZATION is NOT SUPPORTED by our sense-experience nor by MODERN PHYSICS, however, it persists in playing a FOUNDATIONAL ROLE in our WESTERN CULTURE LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING by virtue of having been given a foundation role in WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGES.

 

(note that Hamas’ actions and Netanyahu’s response employ simple BINARY LOGIC that has been given a foundational role the Abrahamic religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam.  This may be moderated with “FORGIVENESS” but “FORGIVENESS” neverthess assumes a BINARY LOGIC based “reality”.

 

QUANTUM LOGIC is the BOTH/AND LOGIC of INTEGRATION via RELATIONAL BALANCE (HOLISM).  The INTEGRATION is of CONTENT and CONTAINER (CONDENSATION AND INCLUDING MEDIUM) which supports continuing TRANSFORMATION as is innate in NATURE.  Example of QUANTUM LOGIC: “There is TOWNING in the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE” (the TOWNING is BOTH ‘itself’ AND the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE it is included in, in the same QUANTUM LOGIC relationship as a WHORLING in FLOWING.  This is basic to reality as seen by MODERN PHYSICS where the understanding is that EVERYTHING is RELATED by virtue of all material forms being condensations of the all-including energy-charged PLENUM.

 

BINARY LOGIC is the EITHER/OR LOGIC of DIFFERENTIATION via FRAGMENTATION (REDUCTIONISM), which plays a foundational role in WESTERN CULTURE LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZATION.  Example of BINARY LOGIC: “The TOWN IS GROWING, DEVELOPING and PRODUCING goods and services”  (here, the TOWN IS A LOCAL, EXPLICIT MATERIAL THING-IN-ITSELF which is EITHER PRESENT or ABSENT as indicated by highway SIGNAGE such as “YOU ARE NOW ENTERING PLEASANTVILLE and … YOU ARE NOW LEAVING PLEASANTVILLE” which captures STATIC THING-IN-ITSELF “BEING” based status that is characteristic of BINARY LOGIC.

The LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING supported by the abstraction of“BEING”  opens the door to a  BINARY LOGIC REDUCTIONIST DIFFERENTIATION-based UNDERSTANDING of the nature of the”BEING” BY WAY OF “ITS CONSTITUENT FRAGMENTS”, WHICH IS VERY DIFFERENT from;…

The theQUANTUM LOGIC  “HOLISTIC” INTEGRATION based UNDERSTANDING of the TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM (WAVE-FIELD) and its INCLUDED RELATIONAL FORMS (CONDENSATIONS) which support an INTEGRATED CONCEPTUALIZING APPROACH. 

Here we can see the TWO OPTIONS  of INQUIRY  which we know as HOLISM and REDUCTIONISM. These two OPTIONS OF INQUIRY stem from the TWO OPTIONS of LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING, wherein HOLISM is based on QUANTUM LOGIC and REDUCTIONISM is based BINARY LOGIC.

 

HOLISM:  a LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING technique that is FOUNDATIONAL in indigenous aboriginal culture (the culture of ‘mitakuye oyasin’, ‘everything is related’, which opens the way to understanding relational forms in terms of sethe ‘web of relations’ they are comprised of.  This is an INTEGRATIVE LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING technique, an example of which is the HOPI language, is described by Linguist Benjamin Whorf in the following;  “English compared to Hopi is like a bludgeon compared to a rapier.” — Benjamin Whorf.

 

Whorf is pointed to the fact that the indigenous aboriginal languages employ conceptualizing that is BOOTSTRAPPING-based where, instead of thinking in the terms that one is a “BEING” which is LOCAL and EXPLICIT, we are, instead, ‘ALL MY RELATIONS’ (mitakuye oyasin) which ‘makes us’ NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT (relational) as the nature of CONDENSATIONS of he WAVE-FIELD which merely have a LOCAL, EXPLICIT “APPEARANCE”  while NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT (relational) in substance.

 

There is an option in LANGUAGE DESIGN, to give a foundational role to INTEGRATION or to DIFFERENTIATION and as we can see, indigenous aboriginals opted for INTEGRATION in keeping with their understanding of MITAKUYE OYASIN (everything is related).  In this approach, we come to understand a material form by way of its relationships with other material forms so that we end up with a relational understanding that is no longer dependent on the material forms (no longer dependent on “BEING” of any sort).

This form of understanding which involves bringing a multituded of disparat ‘forms’ into ‘connective confluence’ and extracting the  coherencies, has been called ‘BOOTSTRAPPING’ and has been described both by Wittgenstein and by MODERN PHYSICS researcher Geoffrey Chew;

BENJAMIN NETANYAHU, and HAMAS are IN NO WAY TUNING IN TO THE AWARENESS of MITAKUYE OYASIN, that we are all RELATED as CONDENSATIONS in the ONE ALL-INCLUDING ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM.  INSTEAD, in their VISION of THEMSELVES and OTHERS in the BINARY LOGIC terms of INDEPENDENT BEINGS, the set the stage for a conflating BINARY LOGIC defining hat flags the INDEPENDENT BEINGS as “EITHER” GOOD “OR “BAD”, setting up the conditions that support a program of PURIFICATION as is the objective of both HAMAS and NETANYAHU.

 

HOLISM (INTEGRATION) rather than REDUCTIONISM (DIFFERENTIATION) as the basic structure of our sense-experience reality is implicit in the MODERN PHYSICS understanding of reality wherein EVERYTHING IS RELATED by virtue of all material things being CONDENSATIONS of the all-including energy-charged PLENUM aka WAVE-FIELD.  This is the MITAKUYE OYASIN understanding of indigenous aboriginals.

So, given that “WE ALL” belong to the WHOLE THING (the energy-charged PLENUM) as CONDENSATIONS, our WESTERN CULTURE MADNESS of tagging material forms which are inclusions in the all-including energy-charged PLENUM aka WAVE-FIELD with NAMES that impute LOCAL, EXPLICIT BEING status is a PSYCHO-LINGUISTIC DIFFERENTIATING ABSTRACTION that is the source of SCHIZOPHRENIA and PARANOIA in WESTERN CULTURE since it CONFLICTS with the reality of our CO-INCLUSION as CONDENSATIONS of the ONE ALL-INCLUDING PLENUM/WAVE-FIELD.

 

PROBLEM: The abstraction of “BEING” given FOUNDATIONAL STATUS in the Abrahamic religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam is giving us WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS an EXPOSURE to FRAGMENTATION that includes SCHIZOPHRENIA and PARANOIA as is manifest in the Israeli – Palestinian conflict.  David Bohm points to this exposure, and in fact CONTINUING TREND in WESTERN CULTURE;

Similarly, each individual human being has been fragmented into a large number of separate and conflicting compartments, according to his different desires, aims, ambitions, loyalties, psychological characteristics, etc., to such an extent that it is generally accepted that some degree of neurosis is inevitable, while many individuals going beyond the ‘normal’ limits of fragmentation are classified as paranoid, schizoid, psychotic, etc.

The Israelis and Palestinians are NOT separate and independent BEING based ‘entities’.  The Israelis and Palestinians, like all of us, are CONDENSATIONS in the ALL-INCLUDING TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM aka the WAVE-FIELD.  BINARY LOGIC based DECLARATIONS of INDEPENDENCE are INTELLECTUAL ABSTRACTION that are NOT GROUNDED IN SENSE-EXPERIENCE.  In other words, Iraelis and Palestinians are STRANDS IN THE ONE WEB-OF-LIFE whereby INTERCONNECTEDNESS and INTERDEPENDENCE prevail, and the OPTION DOES NOT EXIST of creating PHYSICAL CONDITIONS of INDEPENDENCE by means of DECLARATIONS (LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZATIONS) to that effect, so as to establish the grounds for SUBOPTIMIZING the DECLARED-AS-INDEPENDENT “NATION”.

The analytic -reductionist scientific paradigm THAT WE WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS ARE PUSHING ON OURSELVES is exemplified here; ‘Bitzer,’ said Thomas Gradgrind. ‘Your definition of a horse.’  ….  ‘Quadruped. Graminivorous. Forty teeth, namely twenty-four grinders, four eye-teeth, and twelve incisive. Sheds coat in the spring; in marshy countries, sheds hoofs, too. Hoofs hard, but requiring to be shod with iron. Age known by marks in mouth.’ Thus (and much more) Bitzer.

 

ISRAELIS and PALESTINIANS are CONDENSATIONS IN THE ONE ALL-INCLUDING ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM AKA WAVE-FIELD as implies the QUANTUM LOGIC relation.

 

The ABSTRACTION of BINARY LOGIC pervades the teachings of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, and we are NOT USING IT when our actions are ‘coming from’ our sense-experience of inclusion in the transforming relational continuum; e.g. while our BINARY LOGIC LANGUAGE comes up with such (INCOMPLETE) propositions as ‘the TOWN IS GROWING’, our QUANTUM LOGIC sense-experience is informing us that there is a conjugate SHRINKING of WILDERNESS and WILDERNESS diversity, so that our intuitive actions are shaped so as to protect the WILDERNESS.  Nevertheless, the machinery of business and economy are supported by our LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZATIONS which, in WESTERN CULTURE, continue to be BINARY LOGIC based so that when we plan and execute the CONSTRUCTION of a TOWN, as far as our language conceptualizes this, it is all MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING and there is a DROP OUT of the FEMALE ACCOMODATING/ENABLING conjugate that is EVER-PRESENT in our actual sense-experience affirmed inclusion in the ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM.

 

There is NO SUCH DROP-OUT of the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING in the flow-based language of MODERN PHYSICS, indigenous aboriginal cultures, Taoism/Buddhism and Advaita Vedanta where the equivalent QUANTUM LOGIC LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZATION is ‘there is TOWNING in the TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM’.

 

In Collapse of Chaos, mathematician Ian Stewart and biologist Jack Cohen discuss how our understanding can divide into reductionism and holism.  I think that this topic could be expanded to include the impact on social relations of our respective preferences for reductionism or holism in language.  My impression, coming from my philosophical investigations is like Bohm’s impression;

 

“fragmentation is now very widespread, not only throughout society, but also in each individual; and this is leading to a kind of general confusion of the mind, which creates an endless series of problems and interferes with our clarity of perception so seriously as to prevent us from being able to solve most of them.” —David Bohm

 

Take for example LGBTQ and Women’s lib movements and BLACK LIVES MATTER wherein CATEGORIZATION (DIFFERENTIATION) is TAKING OVER from INTEGRATION and the ‘synergies’ that can come through INTEGRATION as is highlighted in indigenous aboriginal culture through stories such as ‘My Father and the Lima Beans’.  In this story, one does not start by evaluating the individual “IN HIS OWN RIGHT” but one starts instead from the opening of needs in our real-life activities where these needs are like FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING needs which can be fulfilled by MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING actions.   It would be a mistake to proceed with our WESTERN CULTURE tactic of evaluating individuals on the basis of their INDIVIDUAL attributes as if they were INDEPENDENT BEINGS rather than understanding how life opens up opportunities that are like sockets where the combination of the female opening/enabling and the male asserting/actualizing is innately more complex than any one-sided assessment of male asserting/actualizing capabilities.

 

NOTICE THAT the WESTERN CULTURE LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING APPROACH “DROPS OUT” the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING CONJUGATE; here are a few examples to make the general case;

 

-A-  “the punch shattered the recipient’s jaw” … it could be an eggshell jaw that shatters from the weakest punch.  WESTERN CULTURE LAW gives full and sole authoring credit to the MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING agent while our sense-experience informs us such “TRANSFORMATIVE” dynamics consist of “BOTH” male asserting/actualizing “AND” female accommodating enabling..

 

-B- “the boy dashed across the muddy field” … the female accommodating/enabling shows us as a line of holes from the boys BOOTPRINTS in the mud which with water, drawing in floating dandelion and other seeds which are nurtured by the WATER-GATHERING BOOTPRINT HOLES, become participants in the overall TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE.

 

-C- “the avalanche crashed down the mountainside and came to rest in the valley below”.  The mountain is no longer the same mountain and the valley is no longer the same valley.  What is going on in all these examples is TRANSFORMATION.  as Heraclitus observed, “No man ever steps in the same river twice. For it’s not the same river and he’s not the same man.”

 

In all such examples, we see that in the world of our sense-experience, dynamics have an ANDROGYNOUS composition, consisting of BOTH A MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING conjugate AND a FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING conjugate.  This is because the world of our sense-experience is the WAVE-FIELD world and it is only our WESTERN CULTURE LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING SCHEME that DROPS OUT the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING conjugate and “GOES WITH” only the “MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING conjugate” while there is a DROP OUT of the “FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING conjugate” and the substituting of a notional ABSOLUTE EMPTY AND INFINITE SPACE.

 

If we want to support LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZATIONS in simple terms of BINARY LOGIC, we have to SIMPLIFY things (as we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS HAVE DONE) by substituting EMPTY SPACE for the ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM;

 

BUT BINARY LOGIC is TOO SIMPLE “BECAUSE, IN SUPPORTING ABSOLUTE “BEING” IN EMPTY SPACE, IT DROPS OUT THE FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING conjugate OF THE ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM and that DROP OUT is the source of FRAGMENTATION and OBSCURANTISM.

 

-1-   BINARY LOGIC SPLIT OF MAN AND EARTH (MATERIAL BEING IN EMPTY SPACE): Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

WESTERN CULTURE gives a FOUNDATIONAL ROLE to BINARY LOGIC LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZATION.

QUANTUM LOGIC RETAINS the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING conjugate together with the MALE ASSERTING/ENABLING to support the LESS SIMPLE operative logic of a world in flux (relational transformation) where material forms are CONDENSATIONS of the energy-charged PLENUM aka WAVE-FIELD.

The WESTERN CULTURE BINARY LOGIC LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING SCHEME supports a VOYEUR VIEW which SPLITS APART OBSERVER and OBSERVED (SUBJECT AND OBJECT), insulating the gap with a notional ABSOLUTE EMPTY AND INFINITE SPACE, locally populated by notional MATERIAL BEINGS, NAMING-instantiated THINGS-IN-THEMSELVES with GRAMMAR-GIVEN POWERS of LOCAL AUTHORING, while QUANTUM LOGIC LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING supports an INCLUDED EXPERIENT formulation in the sense that the INCLUDED EXPERIENT is a CONDENSATION of the TRANSFORMING RELATION CONTINUUM aka WAVE-FIELD it is included in..

SUMMARY:

 

Our WESTERN CULTURE BINARY LOGIC based LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING SCHEME IS THE SOURCE of CONFUSION (as Bohm says, SCHIZOPHRENIA and PARANOIA, for example) and we are watching this PLAY OUT in the Netanyahu – Hamas conflict where ‘both sides’ are committed to the ELIMINATING of the other.  This is SCHIZOPHRENIC delusion since we are all included as CONDENSATIONS in the common ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM aka WEB-OF-LIFE aka WAVE-FIELD.  There are no INDEPENDENT MATERIAL BEINGS and there is no ABSOLUTE EMPTY SPACE OF INFINITE EXTENT to SUPPORT the INDEPENDENCE of the DIFFERENT SPECIES.

 

That is; ”Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.” 

 

So, in the case of STRIFE, as Pogo says, “We have met the enemy and he is us.”  In which case, it would be SCHIZOPHRENIC and PARANOID to CONCEIVE of the REMEDY to STRIFE in terms of the ELIMINATING of the ADVERSARY, … steal some horses and women in pursuit of REBALANCING, perhaps, in acknowledging ‘mitakuye oyasin’ (everything is related), but NO BINARY defining of GOOD and EVIL BEINGS along with BINARY follow-on by REWARDING and PROLIFERATING (the authors of) GOOD while PUNISHING and ELIMINATING (the authors of) BAD.  

 

Netanyahu’s INSANITY is OUR (WESTERN CULTURE) INSANITY.  It is born of BINARY LOGIC and while it pervades WESTERN CULTURE social relational dynamics, it doesn’t always VIOLENTLY EXPLODE but is like static electricity that spreads out over the land and if two sharply pointed opposing conductors come into play, the huge reservoir of accumulating energy may fuel a major short-circuiting melt-down which APPEARS to be a LOCAL, EXPLICIT phenomenon, but is NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT; e.g. the avalanche appears LOCAL and EXPLICIT, however, the MOUNTAIN is shrinking with the loss of material and the VALLEY is shallowing with the infusion of material and while our WESTERN CULTURE LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING makes it appear as if these are two separate things since our language supports our going into great detail as to how the MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING dynamic changed the valley.

However, the female opening of a hole in the mountain flank need not be mentioned in order for us WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS to conceive of as “REAL” the infilling of the valley.  The DROP OUT of the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING CONJUGATE (e.g. the opening of a hole in the side of the mountain does not have to be mentioned for people to BELIEVE the HEADLINE story which is the MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING act of “the avalanche crashing down the mountain flank”.  This is another case of the DEA ABSCONDITA, meaning that there is no mention of the opening up of a hole which is the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING conjugate, yet without such mention, the male asserting/actualizing AVALANCHE is NOT REAL.   Our intuition is free to acknowledge that what is going on here is ANDROGYNOUS TRANSFORMATION which includes SHRINKING of the MOUNTAIN together with SHALLOWING of the VALLEY , but WESTERN CULTURE’S SIMPLIFIED LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING constrains the conceptualizing to UNREAL, one-sided MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING development; i.e. the AVALANCHE crashed down the mountain flank….  BUT THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE IN THAT IT DOES NOT MENTION THE OPENING OF A CONJUGATE HOLE IN THE MOUNTAIN FLANK which is the ‘female accommodating/enabling conjugate’ that goes together with the ‘male asserting/actualizing conjugate’.  

 

This MISTAKE is just the TIP OF THE ICEBERG because WESTERN CULTURE linguistic conceptualizing CHRONICALLY DROPS OUT THE FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING conjugate and “GOES WITH” the ONE-SIDED MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING development as if it transpired in ITS OWN RIGHT.  That is the BINARY LOGIC basis on which we measure PRODUCTION; i.e. PRODUCTION does not acknowledge the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING HOLES WHICH SERVED UP MATERIALS FOR MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING PRODUCTION where these TWO CONJUGATES TOGETHER CONSTITUTE “TRANSFORMATION” of the OVERALL LANDSCAPE, which is something which is NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT and is beyond captue in one-sided MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING TERMS, such as DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION (which are NOT what they claim to be).

 

What we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS are MISSING is a LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING scheme capable of dealing with the LESS SIMPLE QUANTUM LOGIC of our sense-experience reality of inclusion in the WAVE-FIELD.  As has been pointed out, our WESTERN CULTURE LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING scheme is dumbed down to a BINARY LOGIC basis which can only handle the MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING wave-field conjugate, having DROPPED OUT the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING conjugate as exemplified by -A-, -B- and -C- above.

 

Jantsch’s THREE LEVELS of INQUIRY summarize this important difference between QUANTUM LOGIC (WAVE-FIELD CAPABLE) LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING and BINARY LOGIC (MECHANISTIC) LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING, the latter DROPPING OUT the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING WAVE-FIELD CONJUGATE and thus reducing the LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING CAPABILITY to one-sided MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING.

 

I have added an alternative terminology (to Jantsch’s following ‘LEVELS OF INQUIRY’ which is WAVE-FIELD based and thus more consistent with the linguistic conceptualizing in the rest of this note.

 

Erich Jantsch’s LEVELS OF INQUIRY explains how we become divided among ourselves by our differing LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING SCHEMES.  Jantsch describes three levels of INQUIRY which he terms ‘scientific’, ‘mythological’ and ‘evolutionary’ LEVELS OF INQUIRY These levels of INQUIRY emerge in many philosophical investigations, including my own.  For the ease that comes with consistency with the rest of my writing in this and other philosophical investigations, I am changing the “LABELS” that Jantsch is using for the LEVELS of INQUIRY.   My three categories are;  MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING (in place of ‘scientific’),    FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING (in place of mythological)   and   ANDROGYNOUS TRANSFORMATION (in place of ‘evolutionary’.   Meanwhile, I believe we GO TO THE SAME PLACE, … or to THE SAME THREE PLACES.

 

HERE GOES; …

 

Level 3, the LOWEST LEVEL which is SCIENTIFIC in Jantsch’s terms and MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING in my terms FOCUSES ON THE LOCAL AND EXPLICIT, as if this were “REALITY” (the simplest level of ‘reality’).  In this level, we speak in terms of WHAT THINGS DO (their ASSERTING ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENTS) as if INDEPENDENT BEINGS within an ABSOLUTE EMPTY AND INFINITE SPACE.  In Jantsch’s model, in this SCIENTIFIC level we are ‘on dry land’ and our actions are ‘our local and explicit actions.’

 

This is where we say MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING things like “the TOWN is GROWING”

Level 2, the MIDDLE LEVEL which is MYTHOLOGICAL in Jantsch’s terms and FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING in my terms, as if this were “REALITY” (the middle level of ‘reality’).  In this level, we speak in terms of HOW THINGS ACCOMMODATE the relational dynamics they find themselves included in. In Jantsch’s model, in this level we are swimming in a pool with others and thus our actions are a combination of our asserting actions and incoming waves as distorted by incoming influences from the environment.    This is NOT QUITE THE SAME, because I am using the WAVE-MODEL wherein the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING is NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT (relational).

 

 

This is where we say FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING things like “the WILDERNESS IS SHRINKING”.  We are no longer able to quantitatively measure this, as we could the GROWTH of the TOWN, because the WILDERNESS is NOT A LOCAL, EXPLICIT THING like the TOWN but a NONLOCAL, IMPLICIT ‘EXPANSE’ .

Level 1. The HIGHEST LEVEL which is EVOLUTIONARY in Jantsch’s terms and ANDROGYNOUS in my terms, as if this were “REALITY”.  In this level, we speak in terms of the ALL-INCLUDING TRANSFORMATION where, as Schroedinger says, SUBJECT AND OBJECT are ONLY ONE; i.e. where material forms are CONDENSATIONS of the ALL-INCLUDING WAVE-FIELD.  In Jantsch’s model, in this highest level, he emphasizes that we are part of the evolutionary process, and while this is ALSO SO in the model I am describing, because I am coming from the WAVE-FIELD point of view, the key difference in this, the HIGHEST level,  LEVEL 1,  is the QUANTUM LOGIC union wherein FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING and MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZING are understood as ONE.  WE, as CONDENSATIONS of the ALL-INCLUDING WAVE-FIELD, ACKNOWLEDGE OUR INCLUSION in the TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM.  We become ONE WITH EVERYTHING.

FOOTNOTE:  READER’S ‘HEAD’S UP’

 

In QUANTUM LOGIC, as contrasted with BINARY LOGIC, there are no “INDEPENDENT BEINGS” notionally with “THEIR OWN powers of LOCAL AUTHORING”, this notion derives from the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR as Nietzsche points out.

This is JUST ONE of a number of very based FOUNDATIONAL differences in LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING that separates UNDERSTANDING that derives from BINARY LOGIC WESTERN CULTURE linguistic conceptualizing and QUANTUM LOGIC MODERN PHYSICS, INDIGENOUS ABORIGINAL, TAOIST/BUDDHIST and ADVAITA VENDANTA linguistic conceptualizing.

In the QUANTUM LOGIC understanding of reality, there is no such thing as LOCAL AUTHORING of actions and developments, in which case the person who, in WESTERN CULTURE linguistic conceptualizing (which is BINARY LOGIC based), would be CAST AS THE LOCAL, EXPLICIT PERPETRATOR of a ‘GOOD’ or ‘BAD’ action or development, … would in MODERN PHYSICS, INDIGENOUS ABORIGINAL, TAOIST/BUDDHIST and ADVAITA VENDANTA linguistic conceptualizing, would be CAST as the LIGHTNING ROD or VENTING CHANNEL for developments which are of a NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT (RELATIONAL) origin.

The INDIGENOUS ABORIGINAL, Taoist/Buddhist and Advaita Vedanta linguistic conceptualizing schemes are RELATIONAL, FLOW-BASED schemes which imply NONLOCAL, IMPLICIT AUTHORING AGENCY, hence the “HEALING CIRCLE” as the indigenous aboriginal response to violence in the community; i.e. the assumption, which is supported by MODERN PHYSICS, is that we live in a relational web wherein THERE ARE NO LOCAL AUTHORING of EITHER GOOD or BAD events.   The indigenous aboriginal aphorism “MITAKUYE OYASIN” (everything is related) is the QUANTUM LOGIC understanding, and MODERN PHYSICS supports this meaning that the individual ‘holding the smoking gun’ IS NOT THE SOURCE of the crime but the one who becomes a CONDUIT or VENTING a buildup of relational TENSIONS within the social-relational collective.

The NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT (relational) understanding of emergent events, as is the understanding of indigenous aboriginals Taoists/Buddhists and Advaita Vedanta adherents, which is AFFIRMED by MODERN PHYSICS, gives sense to the very different “RESTORATIVE” JUSTICE approach, as contrasts with the WESTERN CULTURE “PURIFICATIONIST” JUSTICE that seeks to PUNISH and ELIMINATE “EVIL BEINGS” and REWARD and PROLIFERATE “GOOD BEINGS”.   Since there is not such thing as BEING’ in the actual TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM aks the ENERGY-CHARGED PLENUM in which we are INCLUSIONS, there is no embrace of the ABSTRACTION of LOCAL AUTHORING as there is in WESTERN CULTURE JUSTICE.

While the SIMPLE BINARY LOGIC linguistic conceptualizing scheme of WESTERN CULTURE lacks the relational approach of less simple QUANTUM LOGIC (the BOTH/AND LOGIC of the INCLUDING MEDIUM), the latter agreeing with indigenous aboriginal WEB-OF-LIFE conceptualizing, WESTERN CULTURE employs AFTER THE FACT of BINARY LOGIC JUDGEMENT, the moderating measures of PITY, FORGIVENESS and SYMPATHY so that while the BINARY LOGIC JUDGEMENTS are imposed on NOTIONALLY “INDEPENDENT” INDIVIDUALS, some SOFTENING … MAY BE METED OUT in the guise of FORGIVENESS.  FORGIVENESS, in the WESTERN CULTURE sense of “YOU DID THIS BUT I WILL FORGIVE YOU or moderate your punishment, IF YOU CONFESS AND SAY THAT YOU’RE SORRY.

While we WESTERN CULTURE adherents enjoy the AGATHA CHRISTIE ‘Whodunnits’, the questioning of WHY the BINARY LOGIC PERPETRATOR – VICTIM relation is FOUNDATIONAL to WESTERN CULTURE BINARY LOGIC based reality conceptualizing raises its head.   And while there may be some SYMPATHY for Jean Val Jean in Les Miserables (because BALANCE is NATURAL while ENTITLEMENT is ABSTRACT), the BINARY LOGIC WESTERN CULTURE MANAGEMENT SCHEME prevails in the end.  That is, WESTERN CULTURE linguistic conceptualizing CONTINUES to support an abstract system of ENTITLEMENT whereas indigenous aboriginal culture orients to BALANCE aka QUANTUM LOGIC. The BOTH/AND LOGIC of the INCLUDING MEDIUM, an example of which is WHORLING in the FLOWING where SUBJECT and OBJECT are ONLY ONE (Schroedinger) exemplifies Nature’s dynamics.

In spite of MANY DYSFUCTION INDUCING SHORTFALLS we have built into WESTERN CULTURE LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZING, such as the THIN SKULL RULE in WESTERN JUSTICE where we PRETEND the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING conjugate DOES NOT EXIST (i.e. all authoring of results credit is given the MALE ASSERTING/ACTUALIZNG conjugate while we pretend that the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING/ENABLING of the EGG-SHELL SKULL DOES NOT EXIST.   This mistake is PERVASIVE in our WESTERN CULTURE LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALISING GENERALLY; e.g. our familiar linguistic conceptualizing of GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION “MAKE NO MENTION” of the conjugate SHRINKING of WILDERNESS, and THUS THE OVERALL TRANSFORMATION, as has been mentioned in the essay.

 

BINARY LOGIC based LINGUISTIC CONCEPTUALIZATION is DUMBING DOWN our understanding of reality.  As Bohm observes, the language we are using is the source of FRAGMENTATION, both in our relations with one another and WITHIN OUR PSYCHE.  There is a need for WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS to make the shift to QUANTUM LOGIC from BINARY LOGIC as the FOUNDATION of linguistic conceptualizing as the indigenous aboriginals, Taoists/Buddhists and Advaita Vedanta adherents have done many years ago.  As the SYSTEMS SCIENCES have pointed out, WESTERN CULTURE SOCIAL COLLECTIVES have done an amazing job of agriculture and industrial, GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION , however, such claims are hollow in that they fail to include the sense-experience affirmed reality of a conjugate SHRINKING, DEGENERATION and CONSUMPTION of WILDERNESS.  The RESULTANT TRANSFORMATION is NOT SIMPLY SOMETHING WE ARE THE AUTHORS OF; i.e. WE ARE INCLUDED IN IT as Chief Seattle has reminded us (WARNED US) and he is backed up in this by MODERN PHYSICS.
