How our WESTERN CULTURE IS TENDING TOWARDS SCHIZOPHRENIA

AUTHOR’S NOTE:  In the WAVE DOMAIN, there are MALE and FEMALE conjugates (otherwise known as REAL and IMAGINARY conjugates).  WESTERN CULTURE’S Language Architecture is equivalent to a reduction to the MALE component on its own, dropping out the FEMALE CONJUGATE which seems to linger on in the shadows and HAUNT the conversation (The DEA ABSCONDITA).  WESTERN CULTURE Language Architecture can be seen as a reduction FROM SPHERICAL SPACE which consists of both MALE and FEMALE CONJUGATES, to the MALE-CONJUGATE ONLY which corresponds to Euclidian FLATSPACE representation, a reduction which reduces the WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE representation to a MALE-ASSERTIVE ONLY REPRESENTATION.  For example, the talk of the AVALANCHE will cover the descending pile of rocks but without mention of the HOLE in the landscape which is the FEMALE CONJUGATE in the complete scenario wherein the MALE and FEMALE conjugates together constitute TRANSFORMATION.  Being that WESTERN CULTURE rhetoric is ONE-SIDED MALE ASSERTIVE as in talk of GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION, there is no acknowledgment of the FEMALE HOLE IN THE LANDSCAPE which is CONJUGATE TO THE AVALANCHE., … however, as conversation continues in terms of GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION, … it is HAUNTED, by the DEA ABSCONDITA, the ‘something’ that has ‘gone missing’ in our talk of GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION, and IF IT COULD SPEAK, would speak of the HOLES from where materials have been given up for GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION.  An AWARENESS of the CONJUGATE RESTORES the understanding that REALITY is NOT ‘GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION’, … but ‘TRANSFORMATION’.  Without OVERTLY ACKNOWLEDGING the DEA ABSCONDITA, WESTERN CULTURE SUBSTITUTE REALITY CONSTRUCTIONS will focus on GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT PRODUCTION as if these were the complete REALITY, … but the discussion space will be HAUNTED by the DEA ABSCONDITA, the beautiful ghost of the virgin landscape that is no longer with us as we party on in celebration of GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION full stop.

BUT IN VIEW OF WHAT HAS JUST BEEN SAID, GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION … ARE NOT “SENSE-EXPERIENCE-REAL”, they are like the mathematical ‘derivatives’ that have become separate FRAGMENTS split off from the motherland of the transforming relational continuum, the DEA ABSCONDITA, which requires ‘her’ RE-INTEGRATION to recover full meaning.  In other words, the meaning of the LOCAL and EXPLICIT is NOT STAND-ALONE MEANING, but, like the mathematical derivative, has deeper meaning that requires RE-INTEGRATION with the missing LANDSCAPE, the FEMALE CONJUGATE that has become the DEA ABSCONDITA that is NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT.  The CONSTRUCTION of SUBSTITUTE REALITIES based solely on the LOCAL and EXPLICIT as in WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE representation is the SOURCE of FRAGMENTATION, NOT ONLY in the INTELLECTUALLY CONSTRUCTED ‘REALITY’, but also in the INTELLECTUALIZING MIND (which imagines itself to be a FRAGMENT within that FRAGMENT).  Care must therefore be taken to avoid the pitfall where the LOCAL and EXPLICIT abstractions of GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION HIJACK the SENSE-EXPERIENCE REALITY of inclusion in the all-including NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM.

The REPRESENTATIONAL TOOL of the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR that imputes the POWER of LOCAL AUTHORING of ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENT to a NAMING-instantiated “THING-IN-ITSELF” HAS the MAKINGS of SCHIZOPHRENIA.  The LOCAL ‘BREAKER’ in the NONLOCAL OCEAN SWELL is only ‘LOCAL and EXPLICIT’ by APPEARANCE but language offers us the choice of BINARY LOGIC to concretize that ILLUSION where the alternative of QUANTUM LOGIC is naturally warranted; i.e. the BREAKER and the SWELL are NOT TWO but ONE just as FIGURE and GROUND in the WAVE-FIELD IS NOT TWO but ONE. When the BREAKING WAVE within the LONG OCEAN SWELL declares itself LOCAL and EXPLICIT, we have FRAGMENTATION that brings with it a HOMELESSNESS problem that we resolve by INVENTING an ABSOLUTE EMPTY and INFINITE SPACE, liberating the MALE ASSERTIVE FIGURE of the BREAKING WAVE for our language-based communications convenience and BANISHING the NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT FEMALE CONJUGATE in the process  The BREAKER can now be spoken of as it were the LOCAL AUTHOR of its own actions and development.

The APPEARANCE of the INDEPENDENT BEING of the BREAKER with its own POWER of AUTHORING ACTIONS and DEVELOPMENT is PSYCHOLOGICALLY CONVINCING, but not nearly so CONVINCING as when we construct a LANGUAGE-BASED SUBSTITUTE REALITY where we use NAMING and GRAMMAR to conjure up something that is unequivocally the LOCAL and EXPLICIT AUTHOR of ACTIONS and DEVELOPMENT.  The number of FRAGMENTS we can create for service in our SUBSTITUTE REALITY constructions, and may include numerous versions of ourself, as Father, Brother, Lover Manager is unlimited.  While it is easier to understand reality in terms of the ONE ALL-INCLUDING TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM, WHILE OUR SENSE-EXPERIENCE MAKES USE of the NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT, we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS have designed our LANGUAGE to construct REPRESENTATIONS that are LOCAL and EXPLICIT.and this is where the FRAGMENTATION is coming in, along with the exposure to SCHIZOPHRENIA.  While we can cover GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION with our one-sided MALE ASSERTIVE REALITY FRAGMENTING SCHEME, the FEMALE CONJUGATE (DEA ABSCONDITA) continues to HAUNT OUR UNDERSTANDING.   Since that problem is coming from the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING AND GRAMMAR FRAGMENTATION, it does not impact INDIGENOUS ABORIGINALS who employ relational language rather than LOCAL AUTHORING based language which is why SCHIZOPHRENIA is an almost exclusively WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENT PROBLEM. Bohm’s remedy is to avoid getting hung up on our WESTERN CULTURE SCHIZOPHRENIA BREWING LANGUAGE but tot short circuit understanding by going directly to CHOICELESS AWARENESS.   The learning of a FLOW-BASED LANGUAGE is a hypothetical alternative but there is the issue of having to put new wheels on the car while you are driving it.

Meanwhile, it is useful to keep in mind that the NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT (relational) is in a natural primacy over the FRAGMENTARY LOCAL and EXPLICIT.

Bohm claims that we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS are becoming SCHIZOPHRENIC.  This shows up every time we label someone a TERRORIST.  This finger-pointing is denial that dissonance is a relational thing, since our use of language, and the word ‘terrorist’ indicates a NON-RELATIONAL LOCAL AUTHORING of action that is BINARY LOGIC based.

This REDUCTION of REALITY to a simplified SUBSTITUTE REALITY by way of BINARY LOGIC is characteristic of WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE constructions and is the root of FRAGMENTATION.

FRAGMENTATION is ABSTRACTION that leads to SCHIZOPHRENIA as we pretend to SPLIT OURSELVES OFF from the matrix of relations as comes with inclusion in the all-including transforming relational continuum.

As Nietzsche points out, FRAGMENTATION is achieved with the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR which notionally recasts relational forms in the flow as LOCAL AUTHORS of actions and developments.

Using the NAME-LABEL ‘TERRORIST’ escalates the sense of SEPARATION from ‘REBEL’ which implies CHANGE-AGENT “WITHIN” the relational social collective, to an entirely SEPARATE and INDEPENDENT ATTACKER implying a BINARY LOGIC (EITHER IS OR IS NOT) DEFINING, preparing the psyche for the remedial action of ELIMINATION rather than RESTORING BALANCE in the case of relational DISSONANCE or REBELLION as associated with a REFORMER who is nevertheless a BROTHER within the SOCIAL COLLECTIVE.

There is no MEASURE of VIOLENCE of action that specifies the escalation from REBEL to TERRORIST since it is a shift in the use of LOGIC from QUANTUM LOGIC which is  relational as in BALANCE and IMBALANCE,  to BINARY LOGIC which is ontological as in EITHER IS OR IS NOT.

The authorship of REBELLION is coming from WITHIN the social collective, hence the QUANTUM LOGIC which is BALANCE based suggesting a relational shift rather than a SWITCH from One thing to Another.

The authorship of TERRORISM is coming from OUTSIDE the local social collective, hence the BINARY LOGIC which is WIN/LOSE based. The BINARY LOGIC ISSUE IS; DO THE ATTACKERS PREVAIL OR DO THE DEFENDERS PREVAIL?

Note that the JUDGEMENT of whether an action is REBELLION or TERRORISM is arbitrary, intellectual-abstraction based; i.e. the continuing growth of use of TERRORISM in our WESTERN CULTURE “VOCABULARY” represents a shift from the shades of GRAY of REBELLION  which may induce REFORMATIVE RESPONSE through NEGOTIATION to the BLACK and WHITE WIN OR LOSE ATTACK of TERRORISM which elicits an ELIMINATORY (PURIFYING) RESPONSE.

PURIFICATION (ELIMINATION OF EVIL OTHERS) WHILE INNATELY ‘SCHIZOPHRENIC’ (SINCE WE ALL SHARE INCLUSION IN THE ONE TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM) IS EVIDENTLY ON THE RISE IN WESTERN SOCIETY AND ASSOCIATES WITH WHAT DAVID BOHM POINTS OUT IS A SHIFT IN WESTERN CULTURE SOCIAL DYNAMICS TO “FRAGMENTATION” GENERALLY, WHICH IS ALSO SEEN IN THE RISE OF “POLITICAL CORRECTNESS” WHERE THERE ARE SOCIETY-PERVADING SOCIAL PRESSURES TO RESPECT LGBTQ, FEMALE, ETC. ‘RIGHTS’.  Note that this FIRST DEFINES THE SEPARATE STATUS and then DEMANDS EQUAL/FAIR TREATMENT of the NOW FRAGMENTED WHOLE, rather than ENCOURAGING DEFRAGMENTATION.  As Bohm suggests, this FRAGMENTATION is leading to SCHIZOPHRENIA on the scale of overall, popular WESTERN CULTURE.  However, this trend is continuing because the level of consciousness needed to see what is going on is level higher than our WESTERN CULTURE ‘default’ which is BINARY LOGIC based.

1 FRAGMENTATION AND WHOLENESS (from Wholeness and the Implicate Order by David Bohm)

The title of this chapter is ‘Fragmentation and wholeness’. It is especially important to consider this question today, for fragmentation is now very widespread, not only throughout society, but also in each individual; and this is leading to a kind of general confusion of the mind, which creates an endless series of problems and interferes with our clarity of perception so seriously as to prevent us from being able to solve most of them.

Thus art, science, technology, and human work in general, are divided up into specialities, each considered to be separate in essence from the others. Becoming dissatisfied with this state of affairs, men have set up further interdisciplinary subjects, which were intended to unite these specialities, but these new subjects have ultimately served mainly to add further separate fragments. Then, society as a whole has developed in such a way that it is broken up into separate nations and different religious, political, economic, racial groups, etc. Man’s natural environment has correspondingly been seen as an aggregate of separately existent parts, to be exploited by different groups of people. Similarly, each individual human being has been fragmented into a large number of separate and conflicting compartments, according to his different desires, aims, ambitions, loyalties, psychological characteristics, etc., to such an extent that it is generally accepted that some degree of neurosis is inevitable, while many individuals going beyond the ‘normal’ limits of fragmentation are classified as paranoid, schizoid, psychotic, etc

THERE ARE NO NATURAL GROUNDS FOR THIS ONGOING WESTERN CULTURE FRAGMENTATION, THERE ARE ONLY BINARY LOGIC BASED INTELLECTUAL GROUNDS, AND BINARY LOGIC APPEARS TO BE OVERTAKING QUANTUM LOGIC (RELATIONAL BALANCE BASED LOGIC) IN OUR MODERN WESTERN-CULTURE DOMINATED SOCIETY.

The REDUCTION of relational dissonance, to the SIMPLE BINARY LOGICAL ABSTRACTION OF THE TERRORIST ATTACK is a shift from QUANTUM LOGIC (the logic that comprehends individual and collective as ONE) to BINARY LOGIC (which comprehends individual and collective as TWO) as with the absolute POLAR OPPOSITES of “EITHER” GOOD “OR” EVIL.

This shift signals the rise in SCHIZOPHRENIA in the WESTERN CULTURE SOCIAL COLLECTIVE as Bohm is pointing out.   One can almost FEEL the rise of suspicion and mistrust fostered by our WESTERN NEWS MEDIA with respect to ISLAMIC TERRORISTS.  The HORRORS OF VIOLENT STRIFE are NOT NEW TO THE WESTERN CULTURE.  The loading of cannons with the heads and body parts in CRUSADE related battles in Malta and smuggling in of swords to an ostensible friendly meeting in Japan to lop off the heads of the hosts, .. are all recorded in WESTERN CULTURE social history, but something else is going on today.  There is shift away from QUANTUM LOGIC (the sense-experience logic of relational BALANCE and IMBALANCE) to BINARY LOGIC (the abstract intellectual logic of ontological “EITHER” IS “OR” IS NOT and this seems to be TAKING OVER in our WESTERN CULTURE social practice).

The INJECTION of FRAGMENTATION into WESTERN CULTURE SOCIETY IS PROGRESSIVE, its progress being staked out such social movements as THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE which have been laying the foundational groundwork for an INJECTION OF SCHIZOPHRENIA since the INDEPENDENT claimed by SOVEREIGN STATES is pure ILLUSION, as the systems sciences have been pointing out;

The FALSE notion of INDEPENDENCE of the sovereign state (i.e. the psychological ILLUSION) leads directly to SUBOPTIMIZATION, the notion that it MAKES SENSE to work on optimizing activities of one’s NATION STATE which has been DECLARED to be INDEPENDENT, …. AS IF IT REALLY WERE “INDEPENDENT”.  SUCH SUBOPTIMIZATION is a SYMPTOM OF SCHIZOPHRENIA ON THE SCALE OF THE OVERALL WESTERN CULTURE SOCIAL COLLECTIVE.  The REALITY IS that we live in a world of relational interdependence as systems scientists HAVE BEEN WARNING US (the ‘warning’ is because our believing in our ‘independence’ while in reality being woven into a global interdependency is a CRAZY-MAKER..

The Name of the Devil is Suboptimization’  (N.B. SUBOPTIMIZATION IS FRAGMENTATION).

What we TALK UP as REALITY is a language-based SUBSTITUTE REALITY where nations are regarded as INDEPENDENT which is a FIGMENT OF OUR  LANGUAGE-STIMULATED IMAGINATION, which, as Nietzsche points out, derives from the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR that CREATES the notion of the LOCAL AUTHOR of actions and developments.  THERE ARE NO LOCAL AUTHORS IN THE SENSE-EXPERIENCE GROUNDED REALITY OF INCLUSION IN THE TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM.   “LOCAL AUTHORS” ARE ABSTRACTIONS THAT “LIVE” ONLY IN THE “SUBSTITUTE REALITY” wherein NATIONS, PEOPLE, CORPORATIONS etc. are GRAMMATICALLY (LINGUISTICALLY) animated as LOCAL AUTHORS within language based SUBSTITUTE REALITY CONSTRUCTIONS, by way of the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR.

indigenous aboriginals, Taoists/Buddhists and Advaita Vedanta Adherents have long been trying to make this point and Modern physics has ‘come along’ to join in and REAFFIRM THIS INDIGENOUS ABORIGINAL UNDERSTANDING;

NEVERTHELESS, FRAGMENTATION CONTINUES IN OUR WESTERN CULTURE, fuelled by EGO since EGO is a supporting pillar of the HOUSE OF CARDS concept of LOCAL AUTHORING..

LOCAL AUTHORING brings us a SUBSTITUTE REALITY that is ABSTRACTION that is based on the MALE ASSERTIVE dynamic which drops out the FEMALE inductive.  This happens whenever we downgrade from QUANTUM LOGIC which is BALANCE based to BINARY LOGIC which is LOCAL EXISTENCE based.  For example, “the Avalanche crashed down the Mountainside” is BINARY LOGIC BASED and splits apart the notional LOCAL AND EXPLICIT mass of rock of the avalanche from the GROUND, generating a one-sided MALE ASSERTIVE dynamic which OMITS mention of the RECEIVING HOLE IN THE GROUND which is the FEMALE CONJUGATE.  But that’s just typical for ENGLISH and the Common Average European language, while indigenous aboriginal language retains the relational aspect and would speak of the AVALANCHING of the LANDSCAPING which implies TRANSFORMATION.

Our ENGLISH language works like a DERIVATIVE in mathematics; i.e. the DERIVATIVE SELECTS OUT THE LOCAL AND EXPLICIT DIFFERENCE ASPECT, dropping out any reference to the overall dynamic continuum (which is nonlocal and implicit and thus can only be inferred), as selecting out the high frequency, LOCAL and EXPLICIT CHOP on a huge ocean swell, the swell being NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT.  

Its not that ENGLISH is WRONG in focusing on the LOCAL AND EXPLICIT, it is just that it formulates limited propositions which, as in Goedel’s theorem of the INCOMPLETENESS  of all finite logical propositions, are innately incomplete.

Like the derivative that shows up local and explicit pseudo-events that is fact are not real local and explicit events wrinkles on an alligator’s back of a larger reality that the zoom lens has focused in on.  MODERN WESTERN JUSTICE and political correctness are overlooking the understanding that local and explicit detail chopped out in space and time is missing the essential message in the nonlocal and implicit which is the alligator’s of whale’s back that gives the deeper meaning.  The nonlocal and implicit is the missing ‘constant’ ‘C’ of integration in calculus, and this missing bit is much more than a constant, it is semi-submerged back of the entire transforming relational continuum.

Our talk of the avalanche crashing down the mountain side is LOCAL and EXPLICIT but it is INNATELY INCOMPLETE because what is REALLY GOING ON IS TRANSFORMATION which one might say INCLUDES BOTH MALE AND FEMALE COMPONENTS, so that we can’t just talk about the MALE ASSERTIVE AVALANCHE CRASHING DOWN THE MOUNTAINSIDE but MUST INCLUDE THE CONJUGATE REALITY OF THE OPENING OF THE HOLE IN THE TERRAIN WHICH IS THE SOURCE OF THE MATERIAL THAT IS CRASHING DOWN THE MOUNTAINSIDE.

WE MAY ASK OUR SELF, … “UNDER WHAT CONDITIONS COULD WE IGNORE THE FEMALE CONJUGATE’?

THE ANSWER IS, IF THE AVALANCHE WAS OCCURRING ON A LOCAL RISE ON A FLAT PLANE OF INFINITE EXTENT, THERE WOULD BE NO CONJUGATE HOLE OPENING.  THE MALE-FEMALE CONJUGATE REALITY ASSOCIATES WITH SPHERICAL SPACE LIKE THE SPACE ON THE SURFACE OF THE EARTH WHERE THE PUSHING UP OF A MOUNTAIN IMPLIES A CORRESPONDING SUCKING DOWN IT (VALLEY ) SOMEWHERE ELSE BECAUSE THE NOTION OF ‘BALANCE’ COMES BUNDLED WITH THE NOTION OF THE SPACE ON THE SURFACE OF A SPHERE, BUT NOT SO ON A FLAT SURFACE OF INFINITE EXTENT OF THE EUCLIDEAN PLANE WHERE MALE ASSERTIVE ACTIONS HAPPEN ONE-SIDEDLY ‘ON THEIR OWN’.

This is where RATIO and RATIONALITY come in.  RATIONAL THINKING is a FLAT-SPACE means of intellectual abstraction that does not involve a FEMALE CONJUGATE.  If one person can clear, cultivate, grow and develop and produce 2 acres of croplands, then 5 people can clear, cultivate, grow and develop and produce 5 X 2 = 10 acres of croplands.  This is called RATIONAL THINKING.

OK, what about the reduction of WILDERNESS lands that are conjugate to the GROWTH of DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION?.  If we we lived on a FLAT SPACE of INFINITE EXTENT, we would not have to concern ourselves with the conjugate and that is what is automatically assumed in our WESTERN CULTURE way of thinking and speaking.  BUT THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A FLATSPACE OF INFINITE EXTENT, unless we wish to shift our minds so as to put ourselves in a SUBSTITUTE REALITY where there is a FLATSPACE of INFINITE EXTENT, which is evidently what we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS HABITUALLY ARE DOING.

IF WE ASSUME DYNAMICS AS IF ON THE FLAT SURFACE OF INFINITE EXTENT, THEN WE ARE IMPOSING BINARY LOGIC ON OUR THINKING, WHICH BRINGS US ALL THE WAY BACK TO OUR ONE-SIDED MALE ASSERTIVE DECLARATIONS OF INDEPENDENCE AND OUR DECLARATION OF THE EXISTENCE OF A TERRORIST.  THESE DECLARATIONS OF ABSTRACT ONE-SIDED MALE-ASSERTIVE “SUBSTITUTE REALITY” GET INTO OUR BRAIN AND SERVE US UP THESE “SUBSTITUTE REALITIES” WHICH WE CAN THEN USE IN OUR REASONING PROCESS  TO GENERATE UNDERSTANDING that while it is logically consistent within this SUBSTITUTE REALITY, is a CRAZY MAKER when considered within the REAL REALITY of inclusion in the transforming relational continuum.

For example, if there are valuable minerals in that AVALANCHE, we could use explosives to make more avalanches and liberate more of those minerals from the mountain through our own man-made AVALANCHES.  This could lead to the GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION of our MINING OPERATION.

Because this language creates a SUBSTITUTE REALITY based ONE-SIDEDLY on the MALE ASSERTIVE ONLY, the REAL REALITY of TRANSFORMATION which would come into conscious awareness with the inclusion of the FEMALE CONJUGATE OF THE OPENING HOLE.

We must therefore ask; DO  OUR ONE-SIDED MALE ASSERTIVE REFERENCES TO GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION QUALIFY AS “REALITY” SINCE THEY FAIL TO INCLUDE THE FEMALE CONJUGATE OF THE OPENING HOLE, WHICH TOGETHER WITH THE MALE, WOULD INFORM US IN TERMS OF “TRANSFORMATION”?

WE WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS, BY ORIENTING TO THE MALE-ASSERTIVE ONLY AND DROPPING OUT THE FEMALE CONJUGATE, ARE TALKING IN TERMS OF GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION WHILE ALL THE WHILE WE ARE ENGAGING IN TRANSFORMATION (that is including us within it), which we (THIS IS A WEAKNESS OF US WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS) kind of blank out from our consciousness, preferring to remain in the SUBSTITUTE REALITY where the MALE ASSERTIVE is ALL SHE WROTE”.  Sure we can meditate ‘after work’ and get back in touch with ‘being one with everything’; i.e. being included in the transforming relational continuum, but in our WESTERN CULTURE nine-to-five jobs, we have to become believers in GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION once again and forget about the TRANSFORMATION we are participating in).

When will we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS, as far as the accepted understanding of our social collective goes, wake up to the full-blown MALE-FEMALE CONJUGATE REALITY of the all-including TRANSFORMATION, as embraced in Modern physics, indigenous aboriginal cultures, Taoism/Buddhism and Advaita Vedanta?  T. S. Eliot had some thoughts on this;

The DEA INCOGNITA or DEA ABSCONDITA is the missing FEMALE CONJUGATE which goes missing when we are single-mindedly focusing on GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION, all of these being ILLUSIONS created by CHOPPING OUT the FEMALE ACCOMMODATING CONJUGATE to leave us with a MALE-ASSERTIVE SUBSTITUTE REALITY wherein there is no longer ANY SENSE OF BALANCE, since BALANCE resides in the CONJUGATE MALE-FEMALE relation.

The declaration of COVID 19 as a PATHOGEN rather than as an IMBALANCE in the microbial assemblage is another in the long series of mistakes we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS are making  by discarding the BALANCE constituted in QUANTUM LOGIC, and going instead with BINARY LOGIC which employs RATIO and RATIONAL JUDGEMENT where the RATIO of MORE TO LESS IS SOMETHING LOCAL AND EXPLICIT AS CAN BE CAPTURED IN NUMERIC FORM (THE RICH CAN AFFORD MANY TIMES AS MUCH FOOD AS THE POOR, … A RATIO THAT FAILS TO SPEAK OF THE QUANTUM LOGIC RELATION OF ‘BALANCE AND IMBALANCE’ WHICH INVOLVES A CONJUGATE OPENING AND FILLING AND THE NATURAL NEED TO SUSTAIN BALANCE AND AVOID IMBALANCE).

RATIONALITY IS  ONE-SIDED INTELLECTUAL ABSTRACTION; I.E. ALL MALE ASSERTIVE, AND GOES FROM LOW TO HIGH WHILE  BALANCE HAS A FEMALE-MALE CONJUGATE SENSE THAT INVOLVES A ‘DIMENSIONALITY’ THAT LIES BEYOND THE DIMENSIONALITY OF RATIO, WHICH IS AN INCESTUOUS CONCEPT WHILE BALANCE IS CONJUGAL.

RATIONALITY is a simple technique for understanding reality, … TOO SIMPLE, … and when a person gets all tangled up with using too simple a tool to understand complexity that lies beyond the tools reach, SCHIZOPHRENIA can be the result.

We can devise the following TEST to check out whether we are falling into the SCHIZOPHRENIA TRAP which is very common in our WESTERN CULTURE, as a matter of fact, as the psychiatrist R. D. Laing pointed out, this mind-splitting dysfunction is commonly associated with WESTERN CULTURE NORMALITY.

If we are all schizophrenics together, it ceases to be a distinguishing characteristic, … but here, let me explain quickly the problem with REATIONALITY aka REASON and how it screws up our UNDERSTANDING while it is PERFECTION OUR BINARY LOGICAL THINKING.

Most of us automatically UNDERSTAND what is meant by GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION because this described the dynamics of our industrious society and its ECONOMY.   In other words, we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS USE OUR ENERGIES TO FUEL “GROWTH”, “DEVELOPMENT” and “PRODUCTION” which GENERATE “INCOME”..

GROWTH DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION can only happen on a FLAT SPACE of INFINITE EXTENT because if they were happening in the SPHEREICAL SPACE on the surface of a SPHERE we would have to address, at the same time, the SHRINKING of the CONNJUGATE SPACE that was NOT ONLY “NOT” PARTICIPATING IN “GROWTH”, “DEVELOPMENT” AND “PRODUCTION” BUT WAS BEING “CONSUMED” AND THUS “SHRINKING” IN THE PROCESS!

In formulating descriptions of “REALITY” with language, we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS are known for ‘simplifying our language capture of reality’, as Poincaré reminds us here;

The point is that MAKING THE PLANETS OUT TO BE SEPARATE THINGS-IN-THEMSELVES instead of, Modern physics affirms, condensations of the  Electromagnetic field they are included in, … we get ourselves a much simpler language, as Poincaré once again reminds us here;

OH, WE GET IT!  There is no such thing as ^^^GROWTH^^^ or ^^^DEVELOPMENT^^^ or ^^^PRODUCTION^^^ since that could only occur in the space on a FLAT EMPTY OPENNESS of INFINITE EXTENT!   So we should not even be using those words as if they were real, since they only apply in an ABSTRACT SUBSTITUTE REALITY wherein BINARY LOGIC SPLITTING INTO MATERIAL THINGS and NOTHING WHATSOEVER (EMPTY SPACE) are considered REAL; i.e. where BINARY LOGIC is accepted as REAL and “APPROVED FOR USE” in our mental constructions of “REALITY”, … scratch that because that abstract “REALITY” can only be an imaginary SUBSTITUTE REALITY.

The convenient thing about RATIO-NALITY aka REASON is that we can use concepts like GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION as if they WERE REAL and by dropping out the CONJUGATE SHRINKING of WILDERNESS , we can get on with our work and investments and profit taking etc. all of which are tied to GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION.

WHAT’S THAT YOU SAY, … BEWARE the DEA ABSCONDITA?  … are you trying to FREAK US OUT while we are in the middle of enjoying the profits from GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION?  These are all RESPECTED and REWARDED ENDEAVORS in our WESTERN CULTURE social dynamic so don’t put some worrisome shit into the back of our minds while we are focusing RATIO-nally on furthering GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION.  You are putting a HEX on us and trying to turn our PORTRAIT of OURSELVES into a PORTRAIT OF DORIAN GRAY whose exploitive behaviors start to show up in his portrait.  Are you saying that the portrait of WESTERN CULTURE MAN, figures like ourselves, are going to start to HAUNT US by looking back at us as if DEGENERATING, as if our enjoyment of the abundance from our GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION is somehow of a DEGENERATE NATURE?

WE WESTERN CULTURE PEOPLE ARE AN ENTERPRISING PEOPLE, in pursuing GROWTH and DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION, we open up new opportunities.  WE HAVE ROCKETSHIPS NOW, we are no longer limited to what the EARTH OFFERS, we can soon move on to colonize the MOON and MARS, … OUR RATIO-NALITY KEEPS US MOVING FORWARD, ONWARD and UPWARD and the PORTRAIT OF DORIAN GRAY is a senseless SPOOKING of MAN’s continuing PROGRESS AND ADVANCEMENT, demonstrating our INDEPENDENT BEING and our POWERS OF AUTHORING NEW DEVELOPMENT as assured by our repeated use of the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR which supports our continuing GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION which now seems to be outpacing the OPENING OF HOLES in the WILDERNESS.   When God put us HUMANS on the EARTH, even HE could not have envisaged ALL THE REMARKABLE IMPROVEMENTS WE HUMANS HAVE MADE, IN OUR ROLE AS LEADERS OF THE GREAT CHAIN OF BEING;

BINARY LOGIC gives us that INITIAL ASSURANCE of our own BEING, our LOCAL EXISTENCE independent of the lesser world of plants and rocks and the overall ‘enviroment’ that it is our Noblesse Oblige Duty to take good care of and not to abuse, as the cute (but sometimes sharp-tooted and vicious) Greta Thunberg is always reminding us.    How lucky we are to be sitting atop this GREAT CHAIN OF BEING, rather than being constrained to the role of relational forms in flow as the indigenous aboriginals have fooled themselves into believing, so that rather than partaking in the consumption of this wonderful planetary resource, they are stuck with the belief that they are included in a NATURAL REALM that is greater than one-self

QUANTUM LOGIC is the logic of BALANCE and IMBALANCE rather than the logic of BEING OR NON-BEING, the former supporting the notion of material forms as condensations of the electromagnetic field SUPPORTS QUANTUM LOGIC BUT NOT BINARY LOGIC.

BINARY LOGIC comes bundled in with the concept of BEING which, in turn, is supported by the abstraction of NAMING within the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR where GRAMMAR imputes LOCAL AUTHORING POWER of ACTION and DEVELOPMENT.

SCHIZOPHRENIA derives from the REALITY that WE ARE NOT MALE ASSERTING MATERIAL ONTOLOGIES as our WESTERN CULTURE would have us see ourselves, but that we are of a CONJUGATE ANDROGYNOUS nature like the planet that is blowing out new magma at the same time as subducting and melting down old congealed sediments, and thus not being a PLANET as AUTHOR that  sucks in and blows out but a PLANETING which is pure action without BEING —the conjugate SUBDUCTING-EXTRUDING DYNAMIC ITSELF without there being an PERSISTING THING there, only the spherical form of the extruding-subducting which is like a Janus-faced condensing-fluidizing, as given by the QUANTUM BOTH/AND logic of the INCLUDED medium, the ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD and its CONDENSATION being the FIELD and MATTER NON-DUALITY that is basic to reality.

For us so-called NORMAL state WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS, we are encouraged (our language architecture pretty much insists) that we imagine ourselves to be INDEPENDENT of the space we share inclusion in as in the BINARY LOGIC concept of MATTER and SPACE, … however, in Modern physics as in the indigenous aboriginal culture, Taoism/Buddhism and Advaita Vedanta, … the topology of reality becomes like the Tai-Chi symbol suggestive of QUANTUM LOGIC, FIGURE-and-GROUND-as-ONE as where MATTER is a CONDENSATION of the all-including ENERGY FIELD.

So, if we TOW THE LINE and remain OBEDIENT WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS or BELIEVERS, then we hold firm and stable, to the SPLIT of ourselves out of the transforming relational continuum (this was to simplify language based representation as Poincaré pointed out, remember?)   So this is where our SCHZOPHRENIA IS WESTERN CULTURE NORMALITY, … but for those that start to DOUBT THIS and feel that they are INCLUDED IN THE TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM AKA THE WAVE-FIELD, … if they are living in an indigenous aboriginal culture, no problem because that is the common understanding, … but if they are living in WESTERN CULTURE, they are immersed in a social collective where everyone has ‘drunk the Coolaid, then they are feeling SPLIT OUT of the mainstream because of their natural sensing of INCLUSION in the WAVE-FIELD which comes with the QUANTUM LOGIC, the BOTH/AND logic of the INCLUDED medium, the ‘medium’ being the FIELD aka the ENERGY FIELD aka the ELECTROMAGNIETIC FIELD THAT IS THE MOTHER OF ENERGY CONDENSATIONS TERMS MATERIAL OBJECTS.

That is why when people come in from indigenous aboriginal cultures, they have to get used to SCHIZOPHRENIA as being the NEW NORMAL as it is in WESTERN CULTURE, as R.D. Laing points out;

   What we call ‘normal’ is a product of repression, denial, splitting, projection, introjection and other forms of destructive action on experience.” — R.D. Laing

SO THE PROBLEM IS THAT SCHIZOPHRENIA IS THE STANDARD BELIEF IN WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENCY, AND WHAT SHOWS UP AS PSYCHOLOGICAL ABERRANCE IS A FAILURE TO ACCEPT SCHIZOPHRENIA AS THE ‘NORMAL’ which impacts indigenous aboriginal people entering into WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENCY which requires thinking in FRAGMENTED (SCHIZOPHRENIC) terms;

For example, research by Cochrane and Sashidharan shows that the incidence of schizophrenia in non-native born blacks in the U.K. is 3-5 times higher than native born blacks. As these researchers point out, this effect cannot be due to genetic difference or other sources within the individual. Their point is that a science that studies ‘mental illness’ is not going to explain what is going on in this case, a study of mental health (which extends the realm of investigation to include the social dynamic the individual is situationally included in) would instead be required.

From the outset it will be clear that most of the research in this field has followed the conventional epidemiological or medical paradigm by focusing on mental ill health as the dependent variable. It is, therefore, not surprising that there is a lack of empirically grounded research on mental well-being or the psychological resilience and survival of minority groups in this country” — R. The point is that our WESTERN CULTURE is GROUNDED in SCHIZOPHRENIA as the CULTURAL NORM, as in the terms GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODDUCTION which use NAMING to SPLIT OUT A NOTIONAL “LOCAL AUTHOR” and use GRAMMAR as a second, conflating ERROR to impute LOCAL AUTHORING POWERS to the NAMING instantiated notional LOCAL THING IN ITSELF.  This is a RECIPE for FRAGMENTATION which is what Bohm was talking about and he includes in his comments, that this brings with it SCHIZOPHRENIA;

1 FRAGMENTATION AND WHOLENESS (from Wholeness and the Implicate Order by David Bohm)

The title of this chapter is ‘Fragmentation and wholeness’. It is especially important to consider this question today, for fragmentation is now very widespread, not only throughout society, but also in each individual; and this is leading to a kind of general confusion of the mind, which creates an endless series of problems and interferes with our clarity of perception so seriously as to prevent us from being able to solve most of them.

Thus art, science, technology, and human work in general, are divided up into specialties, each considered to be separate in essence from the others. Becoming dissatisfied with this state of affairs, men have set up further interdisciplinary subjects, which were intended to unite these specialities, but these new subjects have ultimately served mainly to add further separate fragments. Then, society as a whole has developed in such a way that it is broken up into separate nations and different religious, political, economic, racial groups, etc. Man’s natural environment has correspondingly been seen as an aggregate of separately existent parts, to be exploited by different groups of people. Similarly, each individual human being has been fragmented into a large number of separate and conflicting compartments, according to his different desires, aims, ambitions, loyalties, psychological characteristics, etc., to such an extent that it is generally accepted that some degree of neurosis is inevitable, while many individuals going beyond the ‘normal’ limits of fragmentation are classified as paranoid, schizoid, psychotic, etc

How RATIONALITY BREEDS SCHIZOPHRENIA

The point is that the RATIO or RATIONAL concepts of GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION encourage understanding in one-sided RATIO BASED SENSE which fails to include the CONJUGATE shrinkage of Wilderness or ‘Unknown’ or the DEA ABSCONDITA which we just ‘drop out’ so that we speak of the AVALANCHE without speaking of the CONJUGATE HOLE from whence the avalanche material (the positive male asserting mass) is deriving.   This is where SCHIZOPHRENIA begins, but WESTERN CULTURE defines that SOCIAL COLLECTIVE that are ALL THINKING THE SAME WAY in the sense that the ONE-SIDED MALE ASSERTIVE ONLY concepts of GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION are TAKEN TO BE REAL, so that THE TOWN IS GROWING is taken to be real without mention of the DEA ABSCONDITA, the CONJUGATE  HOLE that opens up in serving up the mass of rock constituting the AVALANCHE, these two CONJUGATES pointing to the SENSE-EXPERIENCE affirmed REALITY of TRANSFORMATION.

NOTE that GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION ARE NOT AND CANNOT BE SENSE-EXPERIENCE AFFIRMED BECAUSE THEY APPLY ONLY IN AN ABSOLUTE EMPTY AND INFINITE SPACE, AND THAT IS NOT SOMETHING AVAILABLE TO OUR SENSE EXPERIENCE, …. IT IS PLAIN AND SIMPLE INTELLECTUAL ABSTRACTION.

IF YOU SAY THAT YOU CAN MEASURE THE VOLUME AND MASS OF THE AVALANCHE, YOU NEVERTHELESS CAN’T DENY THE CONJUGATE HOLE ASSOCIATED WITH SUCH AN ACCUMULATION AND SO WERE ARE YOU GOING TO PUT THAT ACCUMULATION TO ASSESS IT IN ITS OWN RIGHT?  HOW ABOUT IN AN ABSOLUTE EMPTY AND INFINITE SPACE?  THE TROUBLE IS, THAT EXISTS ONLY IN OUR IMAGINATION SO THE AVALANCHE, … AS FAR AS THINKING OF IT AS A LOCAL THING-IN-ITSELF, … ONLY EXISTS IN OUR IMAGINATION, … AND WHAT AS FAR AS OUR SENSE EXPERIENCE GOES, WE LIVE IN A SPHERICAL SPACE THAT INVOLVES THE FEMALE CONJUGATE TOGETHER WITH THE MALE ASSERTIVE CONJUGATE SO THAT THERE HAS TO BE HOLE TO GO WITH THAT AVALANCHE ROCK PILE WHICH MEANS THAT TRANSFORMATION IS WHAT IS GOING ON AND NOT ‘GROWTH’, ‘DEVELOPMENT’ AND ‘PRODUCTION’.

p.s. so when the indigenous aboriginal comes into WESTERN CULTURE and is confused by the STANDARD OF SCHIZOPHRENIA, he gets labelled as being a SCHIZOPHRENIC by his natural resistance to WESTERN CULTURE STANDARD OF SCHIZOPHRENIA (due to the DEA ABSCONDITA) wherein the understanding of TRANSFORMATION is replaced by the ONE-SIDED MALE-ASSERTIVE CONCEPTS of GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION.  Don’t look now, but we are living in a social collective where those one-sided male assertive concepts are REGARDED AS REAL and we are MAKING A LIVING by WORKING ON THEM AS IF THEY ARE REAL, … without at the same time acknowledging the DEA ABSCONDITA HOLE OPENINGS which  is the conjugate to GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION, these two conjugates pointing to the sense-experience reality of inclusion in TRANSFORMATION.

This is par for the course for indigenous aboriginal people, Taoists/Buddhists and Advaita Vedanta adherents, but it can be a shocker for those of raised from birth in the WESTERN CULTURE where GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION are taught to us as something REAL that we can ‘make a living’ by ‘finding employment’ in this purportedly REAL dynamics, which we can affirm with our own visual observation, but WATCH OUT, … because while we are observing THE TOWN GROWING, … we cannot at the same time be FOCUSING ON the shrinking of the Wilderness because that’s the way it works living in a spherical space where, as we watch and measure the TOWN GROWING, … as if on a flat plane of infinite extent, …we are not keeping track of the SHRINKING of the conjugate ‘WILDERNESS’ area because THERE IS NO CONJUGATE ON A FLAT PLANE OF INFINITE EXTENT which our mind prefers just to KEEP THINGS SIMPLE as POINCARÉ pointed out.  So, to keep things simple GROWTH is a ONE SIDED MALE ASSERTIVE ONLY DYNAMIC, … thank you very much, flat plane of infinite extent, you make my talking so much simpler and easier!
