OBSCURANTISM is a game that WE HAVE BUILT INTO WESTERN CULTURE, INTO OUR LANGUAGE ARCHITECTURE by way of the DOUBLE ERROR OF NAMING AND GRAMMAR with its LOCAL AUTHORING ILLUSION.  The LOCAL AUTHORING is the basis of a SUBSTITUTE REALITY based on BINARY LOGIC which is SIMPLER than our QUANTUM LOGIC  SENSE-EXPERIENCE REALITY.

 

There is OBSCURANTISM in reducing the QUANTUM LOGIC REPRESENTATION “THERE IS TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE” to the BINARY LOGIC REPRESENTATION. “THE TOWN IS GROWING, DEVELOPING and PRODUCTING goods and services”, … for once we LATCH ON to thinking in the SIMPLIFIED BINARY LOGIC terms of LOCAL AUTHORING, the LESS SIMPLE understanding in QUANTUM LOGIC terms is OBSCURED.  Instead of the QUANTUM LOGIC “THERE IS TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE” which captures the ANDROGYNOUS WAVE-FIELD “CONTENTS-AND-CONTAINER-ARE-ONE” reality, the INJECTING of the SIMPLIFYING BINARY LOGIC NAMING and GRAMMAR FRAGMENTATION into “the TOWN is GROWING, DEVELOPING and PRODUCING products and services” OBSCURES the LESS SIMPLE “THERE IS TOWNING IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE”.

 

This OBSCURANTISM which injects a SIMPLER BINARY LOGIC “SUBSTITUTE REALITY” in place of the LESS SIMPLE QUANTUM LOGIC sense-experience-affirmed REALITY PERVADES WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE-BASED REPRESENTATIONS and as David Bohm has pointed out, is the source of much FRAGMENTATION and DYSFUNCTION in our WESTERN CULTURE SOCIAL DYNAMIC.

 

OBSCURANTIST LANGUAGE CONSTRUCTS SUCH AS RUSSIA ATTACKS UKRAINE …. psychologically break out RUSSIA and UKRAINE like two ISLANDS in the OCEAN, OBSCURING the reality that the profiles of these TWO ISLANDS can be followed down their respective flanks, down below the water’s surface, down into the depths to the ocean floor to the CONTINUOUS surface of the SPHERE of the earth, informing us that the TWO are in fact only ONE, that FIGURE and GROUND are only ONE as is a STATEMENT of QUANTUM LOGIC, which, in our WESTERN CULTURE PENCHANT FOR BINARY LOGIC BASED LANGUAGE CONSTRUCTIONS is OBSCURED.  BINARY LOGIC obscures QUANTUM LOGIC which is LESS SIMPLE and cannot be conveyed by BINARY LOGIC. 

 

THAT IS, the QUANTUM LOGIC REALITY is OBSCURED by the INTELLECTUAL BINARY LOGIC ABSTRACTION because BINARY LOGIC is SIMPLER than QUANTUM LOGIC.  This SIMPLIFICATION that we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS BUILD INTO OUR LANGUAGE BASED REPRESENTATIONS is OBSCURANTISM.

 

We WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS, thanks to MODERN PHYSICS, formally accept what the indigenous aboriginals have long accepted, that “ALL THINGS ARE RELATED” within the one WEB-OF-LIFE”, or in other words, “MATTER IS A CONDENSATION OF THE ALL-INCLUDING WAVE-FIELD.”  However, WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS have STILL NOT BROKEN FREE from our penchant for CONSTRUCTING SIMPLIFIED SUBSTITUTE REALITY based on BINARY LOGIC.

The SIMPLIFICATION we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS have introduced into our language architecture is one which lets us avoid having to deal with the “THREE BODY PROBLEM” wherein three bodies move under one anther’s simultaneous mutual influence (imagine that both containing space and contents are ‘made of energy’ which is suggested by the actual HARMONIES of the WORLD as Kepler described them.  It is simpler to DESCRIBE the complex movements of the planets by assuming that THEIR MOTION IS ABSOLUTE and not influenced by the space they are moving within.  In this case the laws of motion would be simpler since they would only address the motion of the bodies on their own, as if in an ABSOLUTE EMPTY and INFINITE containing space such as the MATHEMATICAL ‘EUCLIDEAN’ SPACE).  This would be a SIMPLER and MORE CONVENIENT TO REPRESENT dynamic.

But it is SIMPLER to reduce the LESS SIMPLE QUANTUM LOGIC wherein FIGURE and GROUND are ONE, to BINARY LOGIC wherein FIGURE and GROUND are TWO as in the ABSTRACTION WHERE MATTER is MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE OF SPACE (wherein we SUBSTITUTE the abstraction of ABSOLUTE LOCAL, EXPLICIT MATERIAL ENTITIES (INDEPENDENT things-in-themselves) IN AN ABSOLUTE EMPTINESS OF INFINITE EXTENT for the ALL-INCLUDING WAVE-FIELD wherein MATTER is a CONDENSATION of the WAVEFIELD as in the QUANTUM LOGIC understanding of the world

 

ACCEPTANCE of a SIMPLIFIED BINARY LOGIC basis for REPRESENTATIONS OF REALITY, means that the ‘REALITY’ that is captured in the SIMPLIFIED REPRESENTATION is no longer a faithful representation of the sense-experience reality, but a representation of a simplified SUBSTITUTE REALITY.

 

WHERE WE ARE NOW IS WELL DESCRIBED BY THE TERM “OBSCURANTISM” and it is “OBSCURANTISM” on the scale of the WESTERN CULTURE SOCIAL COLLECTIVE whereby we, for example, DECLARE THE EXISTENCE OF INDEPENDENT NATIONS, INTELLECTUAL ABSTRACTIONS which BINARY LOGIC MAKES POSSIBLE, which we ‘back up’ by constructing a MAP divided up into SEPARATE POLYGONS with solid line BORDERS, designating the INDEPENDENT NATIONS which EITHER EXISTS as a particular location OR DOES NOT EXIST at that location..

 

This BINARY LOGIC BASED PARTITIONING OF SPACE IS IN SPITE OF THE SENSE-EXPERIENCE AWARENESS THAT “WE ARE LIVING IN A WORLD CHARACTERIZED BY GLOBAL INTERCONNECTEDNESS AND MUTUAL INTERDEPENDENCE” as affirmed by the Systems Sciences and also by our sense-experience.  It is only our INTELLECTUAL CAPACITY FOR LANGUAGE-BASED ABSTRACTION that affirms the partitioning into ‘INDEPENDENT NATIONS’ which leads to putting the actions and developments of us WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS in the business of constructing a SUBSTITUTE REALITY which is AT ODDS WITH OUR SENSE-EXPERIENCE REALITY.  As Bohm has pointed out, this leads to FRAGMENTATION, SCHIZOPHRENIA and PARANOIA.

 

There is a more general problem.

To put together the words “RUSSIA IS INVADING THE UKRAINE” follows our WESTERN CULTURE tradition of constructing representations using the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR which imputes LOCAL AUTHORING of actions and development.

 

In the FLOW-BASED LANGUAGE OF MODERN PHYSICS AS ALSO IN THE FLOW-BASED LANGUAGE OF INDIGENOUS ABORIGINALS,  there is NO imputing of LOCAL AUTHORING as derives from the abstract DOUBLE ERROR OF NAMING AND GRAMMAR, … instead, … there is the SENSE-EXPERIENCE GROUNDED AWARENESS of RELATIONAL BALANCE and IMBALANCE (*LOVE and STRIFE” in Heraclitus’ terms) within a world characterized by GLOBAL INTERCONNECTEDNESS AND MUTUAL INTERDEPENDENCE”

 

[[NOTE: With the BINARY LOGIC worldview, we understand MATTER as moving through EMPTINESS which is SIMPLER than the QUANTUM LOGIC worldview where there are CONDENSATIONS in the ALL-INCLUDING WAVE-FIELD so that ‘movement’ is equivalent to TRANSFORMATION of the WAVE-FIELD.  OBSCURANTISM comes into play whenever we use language representations which imply MATERIAL forms with ‘their own movement’, since this DROPS OUT the full, less simple details.  For example, if we say that ‘the TOWN is GROWING, DEVELOPING, PRODUCING’, this is not giving the full details; i.e. it is dropping out the FEMALE conjugate of how the WILDERNESS is SHRINKING to ACCOMMODATE the GROWING of the TOWN, the MALE and FEMALE conjugate actions together constituting the reality.  The DROP OUT of the FEMALE CONJUGATE is OBSCURANTISM]]

 

So, OBSCURANTISM is the term that describes the SUBSTITUTING of the SIMPLIFIED BINARY LOGIC CONSTRUCTION; ‘RUSSIA INVADES UKRAINE’, in place of, “THERE IS RISING DISSONANCE (or ‘short-circuiting’) in the GLOBAL SOCIAL-RELATIONAL DYNAMIC.

As in the case of THERE IS TOWNING  IN THE TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE which is QUANTUM LOGIC based (FIGURE and GROUND are in CONJUGATE RELATION), versus THE TOWN IS GROWING, DEVELOPING and PRODUCING, which is BINARY LOGIC based (FIGURE and GROUND are MUTUALLY EXCLUDING), the latter description, prevents the conjugate (accommodating landscape) facts from being known.

 

In this case, there is the acknowledgement of the web-of-life or WAVE-FIELD nature of the world wherein RELATIONAL DISSONANCE is like a SHORT-CIRCUITING WITHIN THE ALL-INCLUDING TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM, so that WHERE that SHORT-CIRCUITING is manifesting  does not ‘translate’ into a “LOCAL AUTHOR-BASED” sourcing of conflict.

Nature is BALANCE-based as QUANTUM LOGIC informs us and NOT LOCAL AUTHOR BASED as BINARY LOGIC implies.  Thus, the WESTERN CULTURE ‘PUSHING’ of the view of LOCAL AUTHORING OF CONFLICT rather than acknowledging the “LESS SIMPLE” IMBALANCE (quantum logic) BASIS OF CONFLICT is “OBSCURANTISM”.

 

We are “OFF COURSE” when we try to capture SOCIAL DYNAMICS in terms of LOCAL AUTHORING.  As we know from our sense-experiencing of life, we are always “IN SOME SITUATION OR OTHER” and the situation we are in is INSPIRING ACTION on our part, and we are always “IN SOME SITUATION OR ANOTHER” and the situation that we in is INSPIRING ACTION on our part, and we are MISTAKEN  to MODEL OUR ACTIONS as if they are INTERNALLY AUTHORED.  When the toddler falls into the rapidly flowing river just upstream from us, setting up a situation that SCREAMS OUT FOR A RESPONSE FROM US, the WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE “DOUBLE ERROR OF NAMING AND GRAMMAR” “LOCAL AUTHORING” implication is “TOO SIMPLE” to capture “WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON”. In particular, the reality is that we are INCLUDED IN A SITUATION THAT BECKONS or INSPIRES US TO ACTION.   THERE IS A “HOLE” BECKONS ITS FILLING.  But our WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE ARCHITECTURE simplifies the REPRESENTATION of dynamics using the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR so that we DROP OUT reference to the FEMALE INDUCTIVE and go forward with the MALE ASSERTIVE as if our RESCUE ACTION is LOCALLY ASSERTIVELY AUTHORED without mention of the FEMALE INDUCTIVE CONJUGATE which is actually the MOTHER of the MALE-ASSERTIVE ACTION YET IT GETS NO MENTION, and that is due to the ONE-SIDED MALE ASSERTIVE ARCHITECTURE of our LANGUAGE.

 

BUT WE ARE ‘OFF COURSE’ WHEN WE TRY TO CAPTURE SOCIAL DYNAMICS SOLELY (ONE-SIDEDLY AS IN MALE_ASSERTIVE ONLY)  IN TERMS OF LOCAL AUTHORING, giving the impression that the male assertive representation IS SUFFICIENT when the reality is that DROPPING OUT THE FEMALE CONJUGATE OF WHAT IS IN FACT A WAVE-DYNAMIC is SIMPLIFICATION that is in effect OBSCURANTISM. IN THE REAL WORLD OF OUR SENSE EXPERIENCE, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS BINARY LOGIC BASED LOCAL AUTHORING wherein MALE ASSERTIVE ACTION IS LOCALLY JUMPSTARTED as in the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR and the IMPUTING of an ABSOLUTE EMPTY AND INFINITE “EUCLIDEAN” SPACE CONTAINER “DOES NOT MAKE IT RIGHT”  This LANGUAGE-AND GRAMMAR CREATION OF ONE-SIDED MALE-ASSERTIVE ACTION and DEVELOPMENT is;

“OBSCURANTISM”, “The practice of preventing the facts or full details of something from becoming known.”

 

As we know from our SENSE-EXPERIENCING OF LIFE, we are always “IN SOME SITUATION OR ANOTHER” and “THE SITUATION WE ARE IN IS INSPIRING ACTION ON OUR PART, and we are MISTAKEN to model our actions as if they are LOCALLY, INTERNALLY AUTHORED.  When the toddler falls into the rapidly flowing river just upstream from us, SETTING UP A SITUATION THAT SCREAMS OUT FOR A RESPONSE FROM US, the WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE’S “DOUBLE ERROR OF NAMING AND GRAMMAR BASED LOCAL AUTHORING CONSTRUCT” is “TOO SIMPLE” to capture what is actually going on.  In particular, the reality is that WE ARE IN A SITUATION THAT BECKONS or INSPIRES us to action.  That is, there is a HOLE opening up in the unfolding relational dynamic that BECKONS ITS FILLING.

 

 

WHEN WE WANT TO CAPTURE IN LANGUAGE THE PHENOMENON OF THE AVALANCHE, IT IS THE SAME ISSUE; I.E. OUR WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE ARCHITECTURE “DUMBS DOWN” OUR LANGUAGE BASED REPRESENTATIONS TO THE MALE ASSERTIVE CONJUGATE ONLY, AND DROPS OUT THE FEMALE INDUCTIVE CONJUGATE.  WE ARE CONTINUALLY WITHIN A SITUATION; I.E. WITHIN THE TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM AND “IT CALLS US TO ACTION”.   IT IS OUR WESTERN CULTURE DOUBLE ERROR OF NAMING AND GRAMMAR BASED LANGUAGE ARCHITECTURE THAT FORCES US TO CONSTRAIN OUR REPRESENTATIONS TO THE MALE-ASSERTIVE CONJUGATE ONLY.

 

IN SENSE-EXPERIENCE REALITY, WE UNDERSTAND THAT THE RELATIONAL SITUATION WE SHARE INCLUSION IN “INDUCTIVELY INVOKES AND SHAPES OUR ACTIONS”, A SITUATION THAT IS THE FEMALE CONJUGATE THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO CAPTURE IN MALE-ASSERTIVE TERMS OF ‘WHAT WE DO’.  OUR WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE CONVENTION HAS US “CHOPPING OUT THE FEMALE CONJUGATE” OF THE WAVE-FIELD, AND “PRETENDING THAT THE MALE-ASSERTIVE CONJUGATE IS ALL THERE IS”.  THIS IS OBSCURANTISM AND IT IS BUILT INTO OUR WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE ARCHITECTURE AND PRACTICE.

 

WHERE THERE ARE TENSIONS WITHIN A SOCIAL-RELATIONAL COLLECTIVE, SHORT-CIRCUITS ARE LIKELY AS WE KNOW FROM OUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE OF INCLUSION IN A TENSIONED RELATIONAL ATMOSPHERE WHERE OUTBREAKS OF REBALANCING (STRIFE) ARE BOUND TO OCCUR IN THE NATURAL DYNAMIC OF TENSION REDUCTION, WHETHER BY AVALANCHE OR EARTHQUAKE.  THE TENSIONS ARISE FROM NONLOCAL , RELATIONAL (IMPLICIT) ORIGINS AND MANIFEST IN WHAT WE REPRESENT AS LOCAL, EXPLICIT ACTIONS (WHICH MAY BE VIOLENT AND DISTURBING).

 

TO IMPUTE “LOCAL” AUTHORSHIP IS “OBSCURANTISM” WHICH IS, IN OUR WESTERN CULTURE, HABITUAL, AND WE DO IT BY USING THE DOUBLE ERROR OF NAMING AND GRAMMAR WHICH ‘SUBSTITUTES” THE ‘LOCAL AND EXPLICIT’ IN PLACE OF THE NONLOCAL AND IMPLICIT (RELATIONAL TENSIONS).

 

THE WORLD WE SHARE INCLUSION IN IS A WORLD CHARACTERIZED BY GLOBAL INTERCONNECTEDNESS AND MUTUAL INTERDEPENDENCE.  This SYSTEMS SCIENCES statement reaffirms what is evident to our sense-experience.  The “DECLARED INDEPENDENCE” of NATIONS is INTELLECTUAL ABSTRACTION that serves to ORGANIZE THE THINKING of those of us who SPEAK THE LANGUAGE and AGREE to make the associated responses to IMAGINARY LINE BOUNDARIES and the PROTOCOLS of ENTRY and EXIT into the IMAGINARY POLYGONS that are invented to support the ABSTRACT NOTION of the INDEPENDENT NATION.

 

IF we had one day a year set aside to FLIP THE INTELLECTUAL BINARY LOGIC switch OFF and understand this day as a BOUNDARY FREE DAY, it would make ZERO DIFFERENCE to the behaviours of the Four-Leggeds and Winged and Slithering ones who have never TRIED ON “BINARY LOGIC” but it would MAKE a DIFFERENCE to indigenous aboriginals and others whose CULTURE had never taken the step of putting the INTELLECTUAL ABSTRACTION of BINARY LOGIC into an unnatural precedence over NATURE’S QUANTUM LOGIC (the LOGIC of BALANCE and IMBALANCE) as, for example, in times of food shortage where WESTERN CULTURE employs the ABSTRACT CONCEPT OF ‘ENTITLEMENT’ to OVER-RIDE the natural response of REBALANCING in the presence of IMBALANCE.

 

This day could be called POTLATCH DAY which is everyday in indigenous aboriginal cultures; As Chief Maquinna of the Nootkas observes;

 

“Once I was in Victoria, and I saw a very large house; they told me it was a bank and that the white men place their money there to take care of, and that by-and-by they got it back, with interest. We are Indians and have no such bank; but when we have plenty of money or blankets, we give them away to other chiefs and people, and by-and-by they return them, with interest, and our hearts feel good. It is difficult FOR US WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS who have ‘grown up’ within a social system where ENTITLEMENT “SUPERSEDES BALANCE AND IMBALANCE” to conceive of the dynamics of a social collective with the ethic of cultivating the QUANTUM LOGIC practice of BALANCE, where our WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENT practice has instead been based on the ABSTRACT INTELLECTUAL CALCULATIONS OF ENTITLEMENT such that we would not ‘squander’ our ‘entitlement’ in the pursuit of BALANCE.

 

In the indigenous aboriginal culture, the understanding of everything being included in the ONE WEB-OF-LIFE has been supported by WAVE-FIELD understanding.  This notion of INCLUSION where the DIVERSITY is mutually supporting and part of WHO WE ARE, has NOT YET overcome  WESTERN CULTURE theories of SURVIVAL-of-the-FITEST, and our WESTERN CULTURE ECONOMIC THEORY has INCORPORATED the abstract notions of LOCAL AUTHORING and the corresponding ECONOMIC THEORY which modulates the WELL-BEING of the social collective by FEEDING and STARVING on the (false) basis of LOCAL AUTHORING AGENCY and then claiming that this NATURE’S WAY of evolving improved species (ignoring the web-of-life reality of WAVE-FIELD understanding)

The Potlatch would thus be seen as THWARTING NATURE’S (PURPORTED) METHOD OF ‘EVOLUTION’ wherein SCARCITY OF FOOD is seen as NATURAL in he context of SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST COMPETITION leading to NATURAL SELECTION, as contrasted with mutually supportive BALANCE oriented behaviours. Thus, it is not surprising that the POTLATCH TRADITION was banned in the UNITED STATES and CANADA.

IN BRIEF, THE USE OF BINARY LOGIC “IS” OBSCURANTISM.    EXPRESSIONS SUCH AS ‘THE RUSSIANS ARE INVADING THE UKRAINE IS BINARY LOGIC BASED OBSCURANTISM.   THE REALITY IS THAT WE ALL SHARE INCLUSION WITHIN THE TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM WHEREIN QUANTUM LOGIC APPLIES WHICH IS “LESS SIMPLE” THAN BINARY LOGIC IN THE SENSE THAT QUANTUM LOGIC IS ABOUT BALANCE AND IMBALANCE WHICH ARE ‘UPSTREAM’ FROM THE BINARY LOGIC BASED  ‘PERPETRATOR’ AND ‘VICTIM’ AS ASSOCIATE WITH THE CONCEPT OF LOCAL AUTHORING OF ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENTS.

 

IN THE INDIGENOUS ABORIGINAL AND ‘EASTERN’ LANGUAGE ARCHITECTURE WAR IS UNDERSTOOD IN THE QUANTUM LOGIC TERMS OF A ‘BOILING UP’ WITHIN THE TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM WHERE THE NONLOCAL AND IMPLICIT (RELATIONAL IMBALANCE AND BALANCE) IS THE PRIMARY MOVER AND SHAPER.

 

IN THE WESTERN CULTURE LANGUAGE ARCHITECTURE, WAR IS UNDERSTOOD IN THE BINARY LOGIC TERMS OF THE ACTION OF A PERPETRATOR AND VICTIM WITH A FOCUS ON AN ASSUMED LOCAL AND EXPLICIT SOURCE.

 

THIS DIFFERENCE OF WHETHER WAR IS;

 

LOCAL AND EXPLICIT (BINARY LOGIC  AS IN NEWTONIAN PHYSICS)  OR,

NONLOCAL AND IMPLICIT (QUANTUM LOGIC AS IN MODERN PHYSICS)

 

… INVOLVES A CHOICE BETWEEN SOMETHING SIMPLE (BINARY LOGIC) AND SOMETHING LESS SIMPLE (QUANTUM LOGIC).

 

TO CHOOSE THE MORE SIMPLE BINARY LOGIC BASED UNDERSTANDING IS “OBSCURANTISM”

 

IN OTHER WORDS, THE GAME OF GETTING OUTFITTED AS AN ‘INDEPENDENT NATION’ IS A SIMPLIFYING SCHEME WHERE WE GO INTO DENIAL OF THE FACT THAT “WE LIVE IN A WORLD CHARACTERIZED BY GLOBAL INTERCONNECTEDNESS AND MUTUAL INTERDEPENDENCE”.   THAT IS, WE LIVE IN  A WAVE-FIELD WORLD WHERE FIGURE AND GROUND ARE ONE AND THE DISTINCTION IS A QUANTUM LOGIC DISTINCTION AS WITH THE ‘CONDENSATION OF THE WAVE-FIELD..

 

THE RUSSIA-UKRAINE CONFLICT IS LIKE THE LOCAL AND EXPLICIT ‘EYE’ OF THE NONLOCAL AND IMPLICIT HURRICANE.  RESOLUTION CANNOT BE ACHIEVED ON THE LEVEL OF THE LOCAL AND EXPLICIT SINCE THIS IS ONLY THE MANIFEST ASPECT OF SOMETHING DEEPER AND MORE FUNDAMENTAL.  BUT OBSCURANTISM KEEPS US ON THI SUPERFICIAL LEVEL OF THE LOCAL AND EXPLICIT WHERE WE PRETEND THAT WHAT IS GOING ON HERE IS THE CLASHING OF THE GOOD GUYS AND THE BAD GUYS WHEREUPON RESOLUTION WILL COME FROM THE GOOD GUYS VANQUISHING THE BAD GUYS.   THIS BINARY LOGIC OBSCURANTISM IS PUTTING US ALL ON A BUSTRIP TO HELL .
