A TRILOGY of Philosophical Investigations

FORWARD: Benjamin Whorf overtly stated what Nietzsche, Bohm and Wittgenstein also imply, that we are included in an IMPLICATE ORDER that we reduce to an EXPLICATE ORDER for the purpose of rendering EFFABLE-because-LOCAL-and-EXPLICIT that which is IN REALITY, INEFFABLE-because-NONLOCAL-and-IMPLICIT (the Wave-field aka the Tao).

Whorf points out that the NEWTONIAN PHYSICS abstraction of local material things-in-themselves, notionally with their own powers of sourcing actions and developments (that which Nietzsche calls ‘the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR), …came from our early WESTERN CULTURE language and grammar, that is where NEWTON got these concepts from.

WESTERN SCIENCE (Newtonian) featuring matter, force, and motion is therefore NOT an explanation of the dynamics of Nature, but is instead a SUBSTITUTE REALITY that is LOCAL and EXPLICIT, such abstraction opening the way for language-based representation that is shareable.  The SUBSTITUTE REALITY that we build with DOUBLE ERROR based language constructs is ‘consistent within itself in a ‘house-of-cards’ like sense’, but is in no way a REPRESENTATION of the reality of our sensory experience.  The SUBSTITUTE REALITY reduces TRANSFORMATION to GROWTH, as with The TOWN that is GROWING’ in place of the LANDSCAPE that is TRANSFORMING.

This language that SUBSTITUTES GROWTH for TRANSFORMATION gives us LOCAL and EXPLICIT definition which is ‘only good for’ stimulating a needed INTUITIVE LEAP the the NONLOCAL-and-IMPLICIT reality of our sensory experience’.  However, we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS are become characterized by our psychological replacement of REAL REALITY with the SUBSTITUTE REALITY..

WESTERN CULTURE “ECONOMIC REALITY” puts GROWTH into a DYSFUNCTIONAL PRECEDENCE over TRANSFORMATION

The following THREE PART COMMENTARY aims at ‘homing in’ on what might be described as the core conclusion of Whorf’s Hypothesis, which is that classical physics, wherein we make the BINARY LOGICAL SPLIT between MATTER and SPACE, rather than being something we have discerned through our investigations of Nature, is instead, a formal structuring of the Western Culture language which we invented … NOT as a means of CAPTURING an approximate representation of an INEFFABLE reality, … BUT RATHER as a means of CONSTRUCTING A SUBSTITUTE ‘EFFABLE’ REALITY that WE ARE ABLE TO ARTICULATE.   For example, our WESTERN CULTURE language-and-grammar gives us the capability of ARTICULATING the GROWTH and DEVELOPMENT of “THE TOWN” wherein we use the representational ploy of FIGURE-and-GROUND-as-TWO, … BUT our language is too limited a representational medium to accommodate capture of a TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE which implicitly includes within it the fluid dynamic of TOWNING wherein FIGURE-and-GROUND-are-ONE, as in the reality of our SENSORY EXPERIENCE of inclusion in the TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM.  The intellectual treatises declaring the LOCAL, INDEPENDENT EXISTENCE of the TOWN or the COUNTRY are abstractions of the mind which do not, in ‘real life experience’, over-ride the reality of our inclusion in the TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM aka the ‘WAVE-FIELD’ aka ‘the Tao’.

That is the theme of this TRILOGY; the exposing of the reality, as Whorf has pointed out, that we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS have developed language NOT as a system for capturing an approximation of the REALITY OF OUR SENSORY EXPERIENCE, but to instead gives us the means of CONSTRUCTING A SUBSTITUTE REALITY.  CLASSICAL PHYSICS, formalized by NEWTON, is not ‘informing us of the ‘fluid relational phenomenon of Nature-as-TRANSFORMATION’, but is teaching us how to construct an internally self-consistent SUBSTITUTE REALITY, where the notion of the LOCAL TOWN that is GROWING LARGER and MORE PRODUCTIVE … “SUBSTITUTES AND TAKES OVER” … from the reality of the TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM aka ‘the Wave-field aka ‘the TAO’.

MEANWHILE, “the SUBSTITUTE REALITY of the reductive language of Newtonian physics that CAN BE TOLD, is NOT the TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM REALITY.

 Newtonian physics gives us a tool for CONSTRUCTING a SUBSTITUTE REALITY that is no longer INEFFABLE-because-NONLOCAL-and-IMPLICIT but is now EFFABLE-because-LOCAL-and-EXPLICIT, … the shortfall being that IT IS NEITHER ‘REALITY’ nor nor is it an APPROXIMATION of REALITY, it is a SUBSTITUTE REALITY.  We users of this DOUBLE ERROR based SUBSTITUTE REALITY are NOT FINISHED when we finish constructing the language based REPRESENTATIONS of the SUBSTITUTE REALITY (e.g. the CONSTRUCTION of a TOWN that continues to GROW) because we still have to make the INTUITIVE LEAP from the ABSTRACTION of ‘the GROWTH OF THE TOWN’ to the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE which is all-inclusive and which includes the TOWNING DYNAMIC which our language has allowed us to SPLIT OUT by  * * * SUBSTITUTING FIGURE-and-GROUND-as-TWO for FIGURE-and-GROUND-as-ONE * * *, and in the process re-locating our psychological perspective into this SUBSTITUTE FIGURE-and-GROUND-are-TWO pseudo-reality in the guise of a VOYEUR OVER-SEE-ER, something this is not pot available to the TOWNIE in the TOWNING in the TRANSFORMING RELATIONAL CONTINUUM.

Our WESTERN CULTURE error is to FORGET that the DOUBLE ERROR based SUBSTITUTE REALITY only qualifies for use as a TOOL OF INFERENCE and to, INSTEAD, employ the DOUBLE ERROR (LOCAL SOURCING) pseudo-reality as the ‘operative reality, infusing aberrant thinking and behaviours into the dynamics of WESTERN CULTURE social collectives.  Goodbye NONLOCAL TRANSFORMATION, hello LOCAL GROWTH!

PART ONE of THREE

WE WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS are seriously ‘hooked’ on BINARY LOGIC but our faith in such simplistic logic is being seriously challenged, by REALITY.

Binary logic is abstraction that modern physics had to leave behind, replacing it with quantum logic, the BOTH/AND logic of the INCLUDED medium, … as contrasted with the EITHER/OR logic of the EXCLUDED medium which is screwing with our psyche’s.

Binary Logic gives us a means of talking about HURRICANE and ATMOSPHERE in the sense of FIGURE-and-GROUND-as TWO where each is an ontologically distinct entity..  This leads to the AMBIGUITY problem wherein it is unclear whether the HURRICANE (FIGURE) sources stirring up of the ATMOSPHERE (GROUND) or the ATMOSPHERE (GROUNS) sources stirring up of the HURRICANE (FIGURE).

Quantum Logic gives a means of talking about HURRICANE and ATMOSPHERE in the sense of FIGURE-and-GROUND-as-ONE in which case the HURRICANE is understood as a relational RESONANCE in the ATMOSPHERIC FLOW where there is only the APPEARANCE of binary ONTOLOGY.

BINARY LOGIC is foundational to the concept of PATHOGEN.   In Chinese medicine, health is about relational harmony and illness is about relational dissonance and these are the basic realities as captured in the Tai-Chi symbol of Yin/Yang which are not mutually EXCLUSIVE as in BINARY LOGIC, the EITHER/OR logic of the EXCLUDED medium but mutually INCLUSIVE as in ‘quantum logic’ (the BOTH/AND logic of the INCLUDED medium.

We WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS have a seeming PSYCHOLOGICAL ADDICTION to BINARY LOGIC and we are like the carpenter whose only tool is a hammer; i.e. everything looks likes to him like a nail.  Such is the case with COVID 19.   We call it a PATHOGEN and bring out our ANTI-PATHOGEN toolbox.

Remember the story of SCURVY.  All those nasty infections turned out NOT to be the attack of PATHOGENS, or were they?  As the Zen practitioner might say, ‘Maybe yes, maybe no’.   We have to examine the logic we are using here because we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS tend to all into that ‘everything looks like a nail when one’s only tool is a hammer’ mind-fart.

Sure scurvy manifests as the attack of pathogens of various types that rot the flesh, but Albert Szent-Györgyi won a Nobel prize in Medicine (1937) for showing that while there were many different so-called ‘pathogens’ that proliferated in the body could be associated with, and presumed ‘the cause’ of pneumonia, … such proliferation only occurred as a result of insufficient levels of vitamin C.

Szent-Györgyi railed against the pathogen model itself, insisting that what to look for was ‘imbalance’ in the microbial community that is the healthy body.  He was very pissed off that nobody paid any attention.  Much later, we had the c. difficile problem where many people continue to die unnecessarily of colitis because the standard medical treatment remains to regard c. difficile as a ‘pathogen’ so that the medical remedy is to administer anti-biotics to attempt to kill the pathogens.  As is always possible, the ‘disease’ can be understood as relational imbalance, in this case in the microbiotic assemblage, and a near 100 % solution is Fecal Microbiota Transplant (FMT) which rebalances the bacterial flora in the intestine, typically knocked out of balance by the administering of anti-biotics for some other medical intervention such as minor surgical procedure.

If your only tool is a hammer, everything looks like nail, and the ‘anti-pathogen tool’ has a runaway hold on the psyche of the WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENCY.

BINARY LOGIC leads directly to a very simple-minded approach to dealing with complex dynamics beyond its reach.  Another example is the binary of ‘guilty’ or ‘innocent’.  Such simplistic abstraction is not found in cultures such as the indigenous aboriginal culture where it is understood emergent actions derive from a maze of relational roots, an understanding that is also the finding of modern physics as articulated by David Bohm with his example of the death of Abraham Lincoln, arising from relational complexity well beyond the action of James Wilkes Booth.  The BINARY LOGIC supporting REWARD and PUNISHMENT is held in place by EGO inflation of those within the relational complex of social-relational dynamics (wherein LOCAL SOURCING of actions and developments is a DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR ‘CROCK’).  In our WESTERN CULTURE social collective, as TRUMP illustrates, the impression of being the LOCAL SOURCING FOUNTAINHEAD can be achieved with a political strategy.  On the other hand, in social systems where EGOs tend to bloat, PUNISHMENTS must run in balance with REWARDS  in order for the BINARY system to balance.

BINARY LOGIC has nothing to do with REALITY.  It is a tool of REASON which we use for simple models of reality, and REASON is the artifact of RATIO-NALITY which is where the DOUBLE ERROR concept of LOCAL SOURCING comes from.

REASON lets us say; ‘The TOWN is GROWING larger and more populous and more productive’ at which point our MIND’S EYES gloss over and we no longer see the REAL REALITY that the LANDSCAPE is TRANSFORMING and that our mental vision of ‘The TOWN GROWING’ is a SUBSTITUTE REALITY.

All of the above conflicts in our ‘way of seeing things’ derive from our use of over-simplistic BINARY LOGIC in our mental constructions.

BINARY LOGIC is what is having us WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS focus so much on GROWTH that we can no longer see TRANSFORMATION.  That is, WE CAN NO LONGER SEE REALITY, but with our senses we can EXPERIENCE REALITY and what we can SENSE is that GROWTH as in the GROWTH of INDUSTRY and the GROWTH of TOWNS, HIGHWAYS and INFRASTRUCTURE is not the whole story.  The whole story is TRANSFORMATION which is going on ‘everywhere at the same time’ as is the nature of the Wave-field aka ‘the Tao’.

Just because ‘the Tao cannot be told’ (the Wave-field cannot be told because it is TRANSFORMATION which is everywhere-at-the-same time) suggests that we need a SUBSTITUTE REALITY that we can talk about, but it does not mean that we should treat that SUBSTITUTE REALITY as if it were the REAL REALITY.

COVID 19 is NOT a PATHOGEN simply because here is no such thing as a PATHOGEN, there is only relational balance and imbalance.

As was the case with scurvy, we were looking for a ‘pathogen’ when the issue was instead IMBALANCE (relational dissonance).

”In the winter of 1534 discovering Canada’s Gulf of St. Lawrence, French explorer Jacques Cartier and his crew attempted to make their way down the [St. Lawrence] river. Trapped in five feet of snow and ice-blocked water-ways, the expedition was forced to spend the bitter winter months on the Quebec peninsula. The entire river was frozen above Hochelaga. Existing only on salted meat and biscuits, Cartier’s men became seriously ill with what later was thought to be scurvy.  Twenty-five of the 110 man crew died and half of the remaining crew were too weak to take care of themselves. Fortunately for his crew, Cartier met a Quebec Indian named Agaya, who told him of the  Annedda pine tree.  Agaya explained how to strip the needles, pull the bark from the tree and brew a tea. The tea was to be taken every other day. Cartier immediately followed Agaya’s instructions, and two of his men volunteered to try the teas.  Within one week, they improved so dramatically that the rest of the crew eagerly awaited their first sip of the brew. According to Cartier’s account in his travel log.  “As soon as they had taken it, they asked for more which turned out to be a miracle as for every illness with which they were afflicted, they were cured and restored to health.”    (Note: Pine bark contain 5 times the vitamin C found in lemons / James Lind, Scottish Naval Surgeon discovered in 1747 that citric fruits could cure scurvy but the remedy was not accepted by the British  Admiralty for another 50 years, over 200 years after the cure of Cartier and his men).

Relational imbalance doesn’t have the same simple appeal as BINARY LOGIC.  Instead the EITHER/OR logic of the EXCLUDED medium wherein FIGURE-and-GROUND-are-TWO, non-binary “quantum” logic is the BOTH/AND logic of the INCLUDED medium wherein FIGURE-and-GROUND-are-ONE.

THERE ARE NO PATHOGENS where FIGURE-and-GROUND-are-ONE, there is only ‘relational balance and imbalance’.

What is clear is the COVID 19 is a manifesting of relational imbalance.  All of the resources in WESTERN CULTURE are orienting to doing battle with the PATHOGEN.  This is like developing more and better police (anti-pathogen medications) to combat criminal behaviour in our culture rather than developing ways of rebalancing relational imbalance.

Medicating the troubled system may reduce damage in the short term however identifying and addressing the relational imbalance is the more relevant therapy.  Can we beat the 200 + years it took Western medicine to turn up the scurvy solution?  It’s hard to say subce we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS seem to be getting ever more committed to identifying and eliminating PATHOGENS.  Even modern women are launching campaigns using BINARY LOGIC that see males who mistreat females as ‘pathogens’ that must be eliminated, rather than as the issue of relational dissonance within one transforming relational collective.

PART TWO of THREE:

Re-inverting our WESTERN Newtonian Upside-Down Thinking

Acceleration is tied to our inertial sensing.  This sensory experience of acceleration as within the gravity field is primary experience.  Why do we make acceleration out to be the second derivative of matter (THING-IN-ITSELF) with respect to TIME (‘time’ is a prop that enables us to SUBSTITUTE for FIELD-FLOW/TRANSORMATION material bodies moving in empty space. This gives us the impression that ‘matter in motion’ is something ‘real’ when it is, in reality, a reduction of TRANSFORMATION (the gravity field or in other words, the transforming relational continuum.

“See Spot run”   is a command that takes us out of our awareness of inclusion in TRANSFORMATION and recasts us as a VOYEUR observer of notional THINGS-IN-THEMSELVES with the notional powers of SOURCING their own actions’.  This is the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR that Nietzsche points out provides the basis for constructing a SUBSTITUTE REALITY wherein there is LOCAL SOURCING of actions and development.

As Whorf points out, this SUBSTITUTE REALITY in terms of LOCAL THINGS-IN-THEMSELVES (matter) and MOTION in terms of SPACE and TIME, did not come through the scientific study of ‘reality’ but by abstracting the language that we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS were already using well before Newton’s time.  Benjamin Whorf makes this point as follows;

It is sometimes stated that Newtonian space, time, and matter are sensed by everyone intuitively, whereupon relativity is cited as showing how mathematical analysis can prove intuition wrong. This, besides being unfair to intuition, is an attempt to answer offhand question (1) put at the outset of this paper, to answer which this research was undertaken. Presentation of the findings now nears its end, and I think the answer is clear. The offhand answer, laying the blame upon intuition for our slowness in discovering mysteries of the Cosmos, such as relativity, is the wrong one. The right answer is: Newtonian space, time, and matter are no intuitions. They are recepts from culture and language. That is where Newton got them.” 

The all-including field of ACCELERATION known as GRAVITY of our sensory experience, as is the natural phenomenon underlying inertial guidance is NOT a SECOND DERIVATIVE of MATTER with respect to TIME as is mathematical-physics definition of ACCELERATION.  The notions of MATTER-IN-MOTION (velocity) and MATTER-in-STASIS are instead FIRST and SECOND “DERIVATIVES” of the GRAVITATIONAL FIELD (the primary reality).

The language-based DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR gives us the means of CONSTRUCTING in the psyche A SUBSTITUTE REALITY which is based on MATTER-in-STASIS (LOCAL BEING) and MATTER-in-MOTION (CHANGE).  This DOUBLE ERROR reality construction allows us to start up REALITY in bursts, from wherever we want; i.e. out of context with the REAL REALITY of sensory experience of inclusion in the transforming relational continuum.

In other words, as Whorf points out,  Newtonian space, time, and matter are no intuitions. They are recepts from culture and language. That is where Newton got them.” 

Have you ever wondered how we can talk about the “GROWTH” of a farm or plantation?  Or for that matter, the “GROWTH” of anything?  First, we would have to have a THING-IN-ITSELF and then we would have to have a space to put it in that was entirely EMPTY and SEPARATE from the THING-IN-ITSELF we notionally put in it.  All this is, of course, going on in our psyche which is not bound by the reality of inclusion of everything in the transforming relational continuum.

There is NO SUCH THING AS GROWTH in the real world of our sensory experience because there are no such THINGS-IN-THEMSELVES as might GROW on their own, as if there existed an EMPTY SPACE unrelated to them that would enable such THING-IN-ITSELF-GROWTH.

IT IS ALL ABSTRACT TALK!  IN THE REAL WORLD OF OUR SENSORY EXPERIENCE THERE IS ONLY TRANSFORMATION as in the transforming relational continuum aka the Wave-field aka the Tao. Breaking it down into ‘manageable’ (for talking purposes) pieces is to construct a SUBSTITUTE REALITY that is, at best, a simplistic representation aimed at bringing to mind allusions of the INEFFABLE-because-NONLOCAL-and-IMPLICIT reality of our sensory experience of inclusion in the transforming relational continuum.

We WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS employ the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR to construct a SUBSTITUTE REALITY wherein WE ARE LOCAL THINGS-IN-OURSELVES with OUR OWN POWERS OF SOURCING ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENTS.  As a matter of fact, within this SUBSTITUTE REALITY we can attribute to any old NAME-INSTANTIATED THING-IN-ITSELF such as a nation, corporation, hurricane, tornado, tidal wave, ITS OWN NAMING-GIVEN LOCAL BEING and its own GRAMMAR-GIVEN POWERS of SOURCING ACTIONS and DEVELOPMENTS!

This SUBSTITUTE REALITY is thanks to the DOUBLE ERROR of NAMING and GRAMMAR, as Nietzsche has pointed out.

Now, if I say to you, ‘The TOWN is GROWING LARGER and MORE POPULOUS AND PRODUCTIVE’, … you and I both understand, at some level, that what we are really ‘looking at’ is the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE.  But we can’t ‘put that into words’ because it is NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT (it is in continual flux).  So we just keep that understanding to ourselves while we ‘do the best’ we can with ‘language’ wherein we have to use abstraction to construct something LOCAL and EXPLICIT.

Thus the TOWNING that is manifest in the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE becomes ‘The TOWN’ (thanks to NAMING) and we then speak of the GROWTH of the TOWN (thanks to GRAMMAR) and now we’re off and away with the construction of a SUBSTITUTE REALITY that we CAN TALK ABOUT and are no longer stymied by the impossibility of using language to capture in words the Wave-field that is in continual flux; i.e. the Tao that cannot be told.

The trouble is, that what we are able to put into language is NOT REALITY, it is a SUBSTITUTE REALITY based on FIGURE-and-GROUND-as-TWO which we can outfit with LOCAL FIGURES-in-themselves (IN-HABITANTS) in a separate GROUND (HABITAT).

This is no longer the REAL WORLD of our sensory experience of inclusion in the transforming relational continuum, but it is a SUBSTITUTE WORLD that is now a world that can be captured with NAMING and GRAMMAR.

Only in the SUBSTITUTE WORLD can GROWTH happen.  In the real world, there is only TRANSFORMATION which is NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT because there are NO LOCAL and EXPLICIT THINGS-IN-THEMSELVES in the REAL WORLD of TRANSFORMATION.

AGAIN, we all know this but sharing experience is extremely valuable and language gives us a means of doing this, however, imperfectly. Because of the huge potential benefits, we are all tempted to ‘play the game’ of debating ‘what is reality’ using the innately incompetent DOUBLE ERROR tool of NAMING and GRAMMAR wherein we IMPUTE to one another (and to other things we choose to NAME) the LOCAL SOURCING of actions and development.  We do this in our TALK of the GROWTH and DEVELOPMENT OF THE TOWN, which we know is abstraction that is obscuring the REALITY of the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE.

The indigenous aboriginal cultures use language to trigger sensory experience-based understanding in the listener and we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS also have the same capability, but as R. D. Laing observed, we do not always use it wisely;

They are playing a game.  They are playing at not playing a game.  If I show them I see they are, I shall break the rules and they will punish me.  I must play their game, of not seeing I see the game.”  R. D. Laing – ‘Knots’

But if you are in a crowd of mean-looking white guys who say they ‘call a spade a spade’, it may be safer NOT to cite Laing on this.

Moreover, if you are in a political debate where conservatives are debating with liberals, you may get beaten up twice because both of these political psychologies (psychopathologies) are based on the DOUBLE ERROR based abstraction of LOCAL SOURCING, the difference being that the conservative maintains that the individual is the primary source of actions and developments in the social collective while the liberal maintains that the social collective is the primary source of individual actions and developments.  There is no solution to this BIPOLAR ENIGMA which is akin to the Zen koan of wind-and-flag (which sources the movement of which) since there is no such thing as LOCAL SOURCING in the transforming relational continuum.

LOCAL SOURCING is binary abstraction that is not supported by sensory experience REALITY, it is only supported by psyche based EGO.

If we are in a philisophicalizing mood, we can talk about these things in a nonthreatening fashion, but that changes if, in the real WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENT world, you go to ‘your boss’ and say; … you know all those ‘actions and developments’ you are being credited for being the SOURCE of? … Well, we all know that that’s bullshit and that we all share inclusion in a transforming relational continuum where a Potlatch would be the more natural way to distribute an abundance.

However, the stakeholders in the SUBSTITUTE REALITY who are riding high on rewards and recognition are going to take some convincing on facing up to the real reality.

The flip side of his is that so long as we are insisting that LOCAL SOURCING is the REALITY, we have to keep the game honest by NOT ONLY rewarding those we say are SOURCING beneficial actions and developments but punishing those we say are SOURCING detrimental actions and developments.  Both of these actions should be (and are) highest where EGO is most inflated since it is the EGO which is playing the foundational role in this whole scheme.

Watch out for Falling Rocks!

This alert speaks to more than just physical danger, it is a ‘carriers’ of language and grammar based psychological danger that can lead to chronic infections in WESTERN CULTURE, whereby that might well be labelled TRANSFORMATION DENIAL

Because we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS have devised a language based on NAMING and GRAMMAR (termed the ‘DOUBLE ERROR’ by Nietzsche), the reality that we ‘talk about’, instead of capturing our sensual experience of inclusion in TRANSFORMATION (that would require poetry and we have steadily replaced that with ENGINEERING grade discourse).

Watch out for Falling Rocks! sends a useful signal and much of language usage orients to the sending of signals.  This type of discourse is termed RATIONAL discourse because it is based on RATIO aka REASON.  TRANSFORMATION is beyond the scope of REASON since it is EVERYWHERE AT THE SAME TIME.  That is the nature of the Wave-field reality which is the primary reality of our life experience of inclusion in the transforming relational continuum aka the Wave-field.

Ok, we may admit at some level in our psyche, that we are included in the transforming relational continuum, as modern physics would affirm, but we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS have a long tradition of thinking and talking about ourselves as if we were ‘independent beings’ with our own self-contained powers of sourcing actions and developments.

As Nietzsche points out, we infuse this abstract understanding of ourselves into our psyche with the DOUBLE ERROR combination of NAMING and GRAMMAR.

“Watch out for falling rocks!” exemplifies this WESTERN CULTURE DOUBLE ERROR stripped down communications (signalling) ploy.  It is not dealing with the physical reality wherein the falling rock is IN REALITY the TRANSFORMATION of the LANDSCAPE.  The language-based signals of those hiking in the mountains is not intended to pass a philosophical correctness test, it is just a ‘SIGNAL’ that might have been achieved with puffs of smoke in an earlier era prior to some major improvements in signally that came into use with language.

There is a potential problem here in regard to our actual language usage having shifted to expedient ‘signalling’ and away from ‘philosophical investigation’.

The reality is that we are INCLUDED IN TRANSFORMATION and we can’t come to grips with that while we are “Watching out for falling rocks”   If we picture ourselves as Fred Flinstone, how much time do we allocate for discussing the fact that when we say ‘the TOWN is GROWING’, the greater reality is that ‘the LANDSCAPE is TRANSFORMING’?

Funnily enough, the indigenous aboriginal culture is ALREADY THERE with their understanding of ‘mitakuye oyasin’ (everything is related).  In this understanding the concept of GROWTH of a person or town IS NOT WHAT IS ACTUALLY GOING ON.  What is actually going on is TRANSFORMATION as is the implication of ‘mitakuye oyasin’.  Contrast this with our WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENT insistence that when we NAME a form in nature which is inevitably included in the continuing transformation, we impute to it, by way of the persisting-in-the-intellect NAME, its own persisting THING-IN-ITSELF BEING.

MORE UNREAL STILL is the SECOND part of the DOUBLE ERROR, the psychological attributing of the POWER OF LOCAL SOURCING OF ACTIONS AND DEVELOPMENT to the NAMING instantiated THING-IN-ITSELF.

What did we make this DOUBLE ERROR stuff up and why did the indigenous aboriginals and other cultures that stuck with relational languages NOT do likewise?

THERE IS A GOOD “REASON” for it and that “REASON” is “REASON”, because ‘REASON” is a language-based technique that is based on RATIOs or RATIONALITY that significantly reduces the overhead of capturing real world dynamics in words.   That is, while reality is INEFFABLE-because-NONLOCAL-and-IMPLICIT (i.e. TRANSFORMATION as in the Wave-field dynamic is ‘everywhere at the-same-time or in other words NONLOCAL and IMPLICIT), REASON is an abstract reduction technique that substitutes EFFABLE-because-LOCAL-and-EXPLICIT representation for the INEFFABLE-because-NONLOCAL-and IMPLICIT reality.

This ENGLISH language that I am right now using hasn’t got the ‘horsepower’ to DIRECTLY REPRESENT the NONLOCAL AND IMPLICIT so we are force to construct a SUBSTITUTE REALITY as a kind of rough ‘go-by’.  For example, we reduce the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE wherein change is INEFFABLE-because-NONLOCAL to abstract notional LOCAL OBJECTS such as ‘the TOWN’ which we can continue to break down into notional LOCAL OBJECTS such as houses and streets and churches and office buildings, using language to CREATE A LOCAL WORLD that ‘sounds real even though it is a pseudo-world wherein we can talk of the ‘development’ of the TOWN separately from the TRANSFORMING of the LANDSCAPE.

This requires THOUGHT-based construction wherein we can use language to deal SEPARATELY with the GROWTH of the TOWN as if that were independent of the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE.

This is where we INVENT a NEW PSEUDO-REALITY where the GROWING TOWN is in a EUCLIDEAN SPACE FRAME that is FREE-FLOATING and no longer, … PSYCHOLOGICALLY… included within the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE.

How can a TOWN “GROW” without the LANDSCAPE TRANSFORMING?

ANSWER: AS AN ABSTRACTION IN THE MIND or in other words PSYCHO-LOGICALLY.

How can we experience the reality of inclusion in the dance party in the ballroom of the Titanic when we are in reality dodging icebergs in the middle of the North Atlantic?

The LOGIC of the PSYCHE can put together its own THOUGHT-based REALITIES that do not have to be GROUNDED IN FULL SENSORY EXPERIENCE REAILTY which would include natural inertial guidance which attunes to the all-including GRAVITY FIELD.

Our psychological ability to swap out VISUAL reference frames opens the door to the design of languages, such as the language of our WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENCY, that ARE GROUNDED IN ABSTRACT LOCAL REFERENCE FRAMES.   For example ‘THE TOWN’, while it is in reality a dynamic relational developments within the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE can be psychologically, with the aid of language, lifted out as a separate world (reference frame), in the manner of the BALLROOM of the TITANIC

THE INFORMATIONAL ECONOMIES ARE HUGE in that we can now construct a LOCAL REALITY based on RATIONAL INTELLECTION aka REASON, making use of such abstract LOCAL-IZED concepts such as GROWTH in place of the NOLOCAL reality of TRANSFORMATION.

TRANSFORMATION, because it is EVERYWHERE AT THE SAME TIME (that is the nature of the Wave-field) would require an infinite stream of words to capture in language.

NOTE THAT our INTUITION is attuned to being on in the NORTH ATLANTIC even while in the BALLROOM of the TITANIC, unless we were drugged and woke up in the Ballroom and told we were in the Grand Hotel in Berlin and that the shaking of the structure was an earthquake.  What would be missing in this case is our inertial guidance system wherein our accelerations can be given context in association with a spatial map of the territory we are moving within.

VISUAL INFORMATION is INSUFFICIENT for establishing an awareness of our changing relational situation in that VISUAL INFORMATION is LOCAL whereas sensory experience is of our inclusion in the INEFFABLE-because-NONLOCAL-and-IMPLICIT transforming Wave-field.

The indigenous aboriginal languages have a relational architecture that avoids abstract NAMING that implies LOCAL THING-IN-ITSELF BEING; e.g. ‘Dances with Wolves’.   The DOUBLE ERROR combination of NAMING and GRAMMAR of the WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENCY delivers to the psyche, the impression of LOCAL SOURCING of actions and developments.

As a ‘signalling tool’ this is very useful, however, as a conveyor of TRANSFORMATION it is fundamentally incapable since it reduces its REPRESENTATION/EXPRESSION of REALITY to a LOCAL SOURCING basis.  For example ‘the TOWN is GROWING larger and more populous and productive’ SOUNDS REAL ENOUGH but if we latch onto it, we lose our grasp of the TRANSFORMING LANDSCAPE which is the primary reality as supported by sensory experience.

We WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS have become LOST in a pseudo SUBSTITUTE REALITY based on DOUBLE ERROR based REASON.  This is where the Conservative – Liberal BIPOLAR DISORDER comes from, and the problem that we WESTERN CULTURE ADHERENTS can no longer see the real reality of TRANSFORMATION because of our having promoted the SUBSTITUTE REALITY based on REASON into an unnatural PRIMACY in the Psyche.
