Dear Joe,

 

I am writing to you as you are one of the most influential persons in the world today, and I have the sense that you are honest and fully committed to ‘doing the right thing’, in so far as we can determine ‘what that is’, to support global well-being.

My research into basic issues suggests that we have a problem, impacting the world as a whole, which I see as one interdependent world, as it is understood in Modern physics and also in the traditional understanding of indigenous aboriginals, Taoists/Buddhists and Advaita Vedanta adherents, much as expressed by the philosophers Friedrich Nietzsche and David Bohm, both of whom became aware of the problem of FRAGMENTATION in our WESTERN CULTURE dominated global society.

Since FRAGMENTATION is sustained in the world today by, among other things, the DECLARATIONS OF INDEPENDENCE of the self-styled “INDEPENDENT” sovereign states, the U.S.A. being among the most powerful and influential in defining and supporting the current world order which, like a ‘house of cards’, persists because of solidarity across the global collection of nations who have all opted to support belief in the abstraction of LOCAL AUTHORING of actions, such as production and development, as originating from the self-declared as “independent” sovereign nation-states of the world.

While the human population of the world has embraced this notion, and while the WESTERN CULTURE supported belief is that humans are an independent and superior species in the world, contrary to be indigenous aboriginal (mitakuye oyasin) and Modern physics understanding (quantum logic) that ‘everything is interdependent’.  The pervasive belief in INDEPENDENCE is behind the prevailing FRAGMENTATION of the world, a FRAGMENTATION that is first of all, MENTAL and given global support by NATION-STATE DECLARATIONS OF INDEPENDENCE to that we have a situation today which David Bohm has described as a collective SCHIZOPHRENIA, … a FRAGMENTING that begins with our WESTERN CULTURE “declarations of independence” not only at the NATION level but also at the INDIVIDUAL and ORGANIZATION levels.
